We had time for one Vegas show, and after watching a few youtube videos on this guy, we decided to give him a try. The Riveira is definitely "Old Vegas" style, but we really appreciated it. That being said, it's not the fanciest venue, but the show makes up for it. Mind. Blown. Definitely worth the time and money. He's going to go big, so catch him while the tickets are cheap and he's relatively unknown.
IF YOU GET THE CHANCE go and see this smart magician and his fantastic show ILLUSIONS as many times as you can. I went there with a friend and the ticket was my birthday present and believe me..she (&me) was (were) absolutely thrilled about the show. Fun for family with kids. MAGICAL AND BREATHTAKING MOMENTS performed by a charming young and talented magician who is going to rock the whole world soon.
First, seating is very uncomfortable. Banquet style chairs, padded, but hard and very uncomfortable after 15-20 minutes. We were seated in the VIP Section, first 3 rows, crowded with little or no leg room. I definitely would not upgrade to those seats. Second, illusions was good but similar to what you have seen elsewhere - nothing seemed extraordinary or unique.
Jan's show was the best magic show I've seen in Vegas! Much better than Chris Angel. He and his dancer/assistants are fantastic. He is very personable and sticks around in the lobby after the show for autographs and pictures. Recommend highly!
Jan Rouven is a great magician and a very good entertainer. I didnt expect too much because I was somehow dismayed by the hotel, I thought, well, how good the show can be in a hotel of *ahem* such conditions. Well, I couldnt be more wrong. The show was really entertaining and left you wondering....how did and could he do it?? If there is only one magic show in Las Vegas that one should go see in LV, it should be Jan Rouven's. I have paid more than double the price for a certain world famous, awards winning, seasoned magician who performs down the strip, I think Jan Rouven's show is more entertaining. He deserves a better venue and I have no doubt in no time, he is going to be as famous as(if not more than) a certain David!
Jan Rouven was fantastic....show was amazing and had me wondering all the time.
I saw this show with my best friend not knowing what to expect. We were both greatly impressed and surprised. We thought that in a small venue that we would be able to figure out how the illusions were accomplished but we were left mystified, even though we were sitting in the second row. Not only is Jan a great illusionist and performer, but he is also funny and very friendly. He spent a lot of the time after the show taking pictures and talking with the audience, which adds to the intimate nature of the experience. We will definitely be back!
