James Blunt (aka James Hillier Blount) lived all over Europe as a child with a father in the British Army Air Corps, taking piano and violin sessions and later learning guitar and writing songs as a teenager. After graduating from the University of Bristol, Blunt served six years in the British Army and was stationed in Canada, Kosovo and Switzerland, achieving the rank of captain before he left the army in 2002. The next year, he signed to Custard Records and starting recording his first album in Los Angeles. Back to Bedlam came out in 2004, with five singles including “High,” “Wiseman,” and the smashes “You’re Beautiful” and “Goodbye My Lover,” and received five Grammy nominations. With his endearing voice, poignant and sincere lyrics, and catchy pop-rock sound, Blunt’s debut has sold over 11 million copies. His second album, 2007’s All the Lost Souls, produced the hit “1973,” and 2010’s Some Kind of Trouble featured “Stay the Night,” “So Far Gone,” and “If Time Is All I Have.” The folky lead single “Bonfire Heart” premiered in October 2013, a few weeks ahead of the release of his fourth and latest album, Moon Landing. With a world concert tour planned for 2014, this charming crooner is set to dazzle ticket holders across the globe.
Beyond my wildest dreams. What a showman James Blunt is! Pitch perfect, entertaining, amusing. I got right to the front - spitting distance! Even got to assist in the crowd surf. He is talented, classy and funny. I would follow him to the end of the Earth.

James Blunt is a remarkable, dynamic performer who connects so well with his audience! I want to see it ALL over again! Great venue, Fox Center in Riverside is intimate theater where every seat is a great seat! James and his band ROCK!
the concert was awesome, this was my 3rd time seeing james blunt live, and he never disapoints, i cant wait until he comes back to los angeles!!!!!!!!!

He came on stage and gave it his all. I thought he was going to lose his voice before the encore, which was fantastic. He totally engaged the audience and I danced and clapped for 2 1/2 hours. There was never a bad moment and his energy level was outstanding. The vocals were great and clear. His songs touched my heart.
WOW!!!! From the opening act OH HONEY until the last song JAMES BLUNT performed, it was truly the best concert I have ever experienced. He is an amazing artist, singer song writer & I can't wait to see him again on his next tour.

James was energetic, happy (smiling). He is muliti talented. I would definitely see his concert again. Great band to back him also. Great light show. Good choice was songs.
James has a beautiful soul. We had so much fun! His smile makes you smile and his songs make you dance and his lyrics touch the soul. So grateful to have shared this time with James. Now when I'm gardening with my ipod, I get my "Jimmy On" and have sweet memories to think about.
One of the highlights of the year. James brought the older hit favorites and many off his new album that is amazing. His voice was strong, exact, articulate and passionate.
Loved the show but waited over 2 hours before James Blunt came on. The event and tickets say it starts at 6:30 but didn't actually get to see him until almost 8:30. Was very disappointed that we could no get to our seats until 7:00 pm. i have a bad back and there was no where to sit to ease the pain. There should be some disclaimer as to when the actual headliner starts. We were left in the dark as to when he would appear. I realize there are warm up groups to start but let us in to get seated before the event starts. I also didn't like the use of the four letter word when the warm up group made its appearance. It just wasn't necessary as they were not a hard rock band and they weren't that good.
Played non stop for 2 hours, high energy, incredible vocals. Amazing concert, would definitely see him again.
James Blunt's performance grabs you, spins you around and says "LISTEN". I did!!! His lyrics are deep, insightful, honest and clear. The melodies propel the lyrics. The rhythms stir the emotions. My decades-long musical drought is finally over, thanks to this phenomenal James Blunt performance.
I really enjoyed the James Blunt concert at the Riverside Fox theater. It's a great place (my first time there). But more than that, I learned first hand that James Blunt is one of those artists who sounds just as good (if not better) in concert than he does on studio recordings. Both his singing voice and the music were wonderful. I could understand what he was singing - it wasn't overpowered by the music. If you are a James Blunt fan he does not disappoint and if you are not yet a James Blunt fan but like his style of music I think you'd enjoy seeing him in concert even if you don't know many of his songs.

James Blunt was amazing. Incredible, high energy, fun, two hour non-stop performance. Love this guy, his music, everything. Go see him. Also like this venue. Friendly staff. Music events like they used to be. Only negative was lighting system. High powered flood lights directed into audience made it impossible to see.
I love the way James is the real deal. No vocal effects and fancy fireworks. Just his voice, his band, lyrics & music and lighting effects. Lighting is always all you really need to emphasize and entertain in concert, to me. It was a nice intimate venue. HIs energy was enigmatic and talent reaches in and touches the heart. The crowd was very eclectic, young and older and even young children. The only downside is that it was too short and he doesn't need a warm up band… because we are so anxious to hear James, it is clear the warm up band's for the venue to make some money in refreshments. But they were good, too. Just hard to hear the lyrics. Very happy I went!

Great venue! Fox theater is an awesome place to see a concert, intimate, seating is good, the sound was really good as well.
