  • Everything I hoped for

As a religious watcher of James, including what I manage to find of British TV shows and especially his Netflix specials, this show was everything I hoped it would be. He had me laughing throughout, and maintained his unique style that I have come to love.

I'm always pleasantly surprised by Acaster's innovative approach to comedy and his relationship with the audience. Had a great time at his show. Really funny first, heartwarming second, the way comedy should be...

  • Please Don't Quit Stand Up!

James Acaster is by far my favorite comedian and this show did not disappoint! In the show he talks about doing stand up in a way that is better for his mental health and all I can say is I hope he falls in love with stand up again because he is one of the best there is. Such an amazing show!

  • James Acaster is a legend

by Monica on 11/7/22The Castro Theatre - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Here’s the thing: I saw James at the show at the Castro, and then again two days later in Los Angeles. The Castro audience was fun, but the amount of insertions was brutal from a timing standpoint and James didn’t even get through the whole prepared act. He did on Sunday in LA. Both shows were (for very different reasons) INCREDIBLE. James knows how to handle a room hilariously, even as the entire gig because this weird audience conversation. In LA he didn’t receive any heckles really until he invited them after he’d finished the show, and it was so fantastic. The one thing I regret is not bringing up his single no, no in Los Angeles like I did in San Francisco - everyone should go listen to that song by the Temps right now.

This show was so incredibly funny! We had high hopes of James when we bought the tickets—as he’s our favourite comedian—and he met them all easily. Phenomenal show, and I’ll definitely try to get tickets when he comes back with his next tour!

  • James Acaster reallyy BRINGS IT!

by Rockin Robin on 11/5/22Moore Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome show. Mostly great sets he had prepared but loose enough to allow for some improv using the audiences wierd "heckling" which was explicitly requested by James. This being Seattle, the "heckling" was polite but kinda bizarre things yelled out and James masterfully incorporated them into the show. Long show w/intermission, very satisfying and fun. Lots of vulnerability too. Still thinking about it.

  • Acaster knows his stuff

2nd time seeing him in Seattle - clever storyteller. Kinda bummed that he invited audience interruptions (Seattle audiences don't need that IMO) but he maneuvered the stupid comments shouted out (He, of course, was WAY funnier and more astute than those who thought what they said was so 'funny' - they weren't) tripled my respect for James Acaster
