    Loved the show!

by sjsw on 11/15/11The Midland by AMC - Kansas City

Two good opening acts - second better than the first - and then a lively great performance from dylan and the band. Great venue, great seats, loved the entire evening.

    Enjoyable

by Arynmoon on 11/15/11The Midland by AMC - Kansas City

Jakob Dylan was a delight. He provided us with some new sounds and a couple of oldies that just rounded out the set so well. He gave us the oldies to hook us and get us up off our chairs enough new stuff to get us to buy CDs and come back. I was very pleased with the show and the intimate setting. As was my daughter who just loves him and the one I bought the tickets for.

dylan great, acoustics - not so much

    by mamau80 on 10/29/10Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

jakob and his band were fantastic and put on a great show. unfortunately, the mix was poor with overpowering bass and bass drum which served to drown out the vocals.

    Dylan and Latrell

by jmbsapphire on 10/29/10Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

Absolutely a fantastic show!!! I would have stood up and danced ( at my seat) if I thought I could. Jakob is yet another story teller with great music and sound to go with it. I'll see him next time. He communes with his audiance and that is refreshing too! Loved the venue as well. Hope he enjoyed playing there, some of the crowd seemd lethargic!!!

Jakob Dylan is so much like a young Bob Dylan

    by agp14 on 10/29/10Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

This was my second time seeing Jakob. He's a great performer/entertainer/artist. He and his band sounded great. Jakob's voice sounds so much like his father when he was young. It was a real treat.

The first two acts were great & had good sound quality. Jakob Dylan however had poor sound and he gave a lackluster performance so we left prior to Robert Randolph, who we expected to be good. It was just too hot to sit through a mediocre performance though.

    KMTT Mountain Music Fest

by Anonymous on 8/20/10Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

The event was overall wonderful, but the order of the performers was not so hot! Jakob Dylan was a total downer and it was too bad that he came inbetween the Bodeans and Robert Randolph...they were all so upbeat and he was a total snoozer!

    Loved the Bodeans

by newgirl2010 on 8/18/10Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

Sarah was great. Robert Randolph is a great slide guitar player, but way more funk when I was expecting a more bluesy sound. Jakob Dylan I could have skipped. His bass was overpowering and didn't really enjoy his songs. The Bodeans were amazing. I would have been happy to have had Sarah as the opener and the Bodeans as the headliner. They are always such a fun group to see. High energy, great music, love the crowd interaction. They were by far my favorites of the night. Not sure why they are never the headliners. I Love them.

Despite the heat, the Fest was totally Hot

by Banjosue on 8/17/10Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

The heat required regularly running through sprinklers or dowsing with water or spraying water on ourselves, but the music was wonderful. Sarah Borellis was just amazing, and I did not know that I was familiar with so many of her songs. She was very personal and human between the songs too! The Bodines (sp) were by far the best and the most energetic performance. We just couldn't stop dancing.

    The BoDeans stole the show!

by Jackson826 on 8/16/10Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

Great night for a concert. Sara Barella's was good (she's a great songwriter, OK performer), the BoDeans were vey energetic and fun and have a great catalog that was only scratched in their one hour set. Too bad, because Jacob Dyan was compent but very flat in comparision, it was like he was channeling his Dad and going through the motions. Robert Randolph and the Family Band got the crowd on it's feet again and ended the night on a high note. I rated this concert 4 stars, wouldda been 5 without Jacob's performance. I sure liked him when I saw him with the Wallflowers a few years ago, hopefully this was just an off night for him and his band.

    More BoDeans!

by LangoD on 8/16/10Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

To be honest I attended the festival to see the BoDeans. They are one my favorite bands of all time. They did not disappoint! They were clearly the highlight of this festival. Opening with Idaho and hearing that unique harmony that Kurt and Sam create was awe inspiring. And during the set adding the crowd favorite sing-along Still of the Night was just great. The crowd was really into them, with many knowing all the words to the songs or least looking like they did. The Bodeans set was too short, even Kurt wished they could have played longer they have a lot more songs. As for the other performers was not that familiar with their music, except for Jackob Dillon. It was a little eerie seeing him perform, it was like seeing Bob Dillon 40 years younger and with a better singing voice. Dillon's perfmance didn't really inspire the crowd as much as the Bodeans, but it was still a good peformance.

    KMTT Mountian Musicfest

by Cougarsteel on 8/16/10Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

All of the acts were really good. It sounded like the sound booth had trouble with Jakob's bassey voice and the stand up acoustic bass as his set was pretty muddy in the low end. Out of all the groups I felt like the BoDeans stole the show and I wish they could have played longer, the crowd was really into them. Alot of people were up dancing and singing along. I have been a fan since 1987 and they are as good now as they were then, top notch.

    Sara was fabulous!!!

by wmurray6 on 8/16/10Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

It was an unforgettable hot day but the music made it all worthwhile!! The Bodines were great as expected but my favorite of the day was Sara Bareilles. Her voice was crystal clear and spot on. Not only can she sing and play the piano, her crowd interaction was wonderful!!

    Jakob Dylan: dull and boring

by Reidster on 8/16/10Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

Sara Bareilles rocked and was outstanding! Good interplay with the crowd and very unassuming. Great vocalist! The Bodeans were surprising and exceeded expectations. The crowd was dancing up in front of the stage despite security efforts to keep everyone back. Obviously a crowd favorite. Jakob Dylan however was very disappointing vocally and his group was not up to par, especially the bass and percussion. Definately the low point of the event. A couple of bright spots however were his pedal steel player and the two female vocalists. In all fairness I did hear folks mention that Dylan and company sounded better from a distance (I was in the 4th row up front). Maybe a mixing issue?? Rounding out the show was Robert Randolf whose group was top notch. Incredible bass, drums and of course one of the best pedal steel guitar players around. A true talent!

Only saw Robert Randolf. He was fantastic, had the whole place rocking. I would see him every time he came to town. Too bad so many people had left, they missed a great show.

    Spectacular day!

by elbowman on 8/16/10Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

The Mountain outdid themselves with a superb concert in an outstanding venue. Four great bands. Each one built on the energy created by the other. The crowd was responsive, and each act appreciated it.

Poor Planning topped by Worst Band (Jakob Dylan)

by AllTheWayFromSeattle on 8/15/10Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

I searched the internet thoroughly twice trying to determine the order in which the four bands would appear. Negative. This was not public information. Why the big secret? By the time I arrived (after an annual alumni event), I missed the one band I really wanted to see, the BoDeans. I stayed for Jakob Dylan only to see the exact opposite of what I saw the night before with the very entertaining Chris Isaak. Jakob never engaged in any kind of dialogue with the crowd, never engaged in any audible dialogue with his band, wore sunglasses the entire time (in the shade) preventing any eye contact with anyone, and moved only within a 3-ft by 4-ft square in front of his microphone. I wasted the best seat I had in years (front row), watching the dullest entertainer I've seen in decades.
