Amazing, can not believe how he can produce the sounds out of an ukulele,

What an amazing performance. After seeing Jake I now wish I would have purchased his CD.

Very talented, fun to watch, different genre from my typical show I would go see and I'm glad I made the change.

Jake gives his all -- exhuberance, unparalleled skill and talent balanced with beautifully tender moments. He is a master not to be missed. Live art is alive and fantastic with performances such as his. A very diverse audience that was brought to their feet several times during the evening. A not to be missed, extremely gifted musician!

First time at the concert hall. Great sound for a intimate setting.

This is the second time that I have seen Jake Shimabukuro perform and he does not disappoint. Jake played for almost two hours and has the perfect blend of songs you recognize and more traditional songs that you may not know. The fact that it is all performed on the ukulele with a bass accompaniment is all the more impressive. Jake truly enjoys himself and his passion comes through in his energy and music.

I've seen Jake perform twice and he was phenomenal both times. He is a gifted ukulele player and has a fun personality and sense of humor in addition to that. I got to meet him afterward both times and he is a super sweet, very humble young man. I would recommend that if you get the opportunity, you go see him. I highly doubt you would regret it.

Every time that we thought that there was no way that he could keep up the pace of the music he delighted us with incredible work. One of the best concerts I've been to. It wasn't a 'show' in the traditional sense as the music was the entire thing, but that was incredible. Loved every minute.

Jake Shimabukuro continues to amaze with joyful genius. No one can believe that such music and virtuosity can come from a ukele'. Jake brings everything he has to stage with such sincerity, energy and fantastic musicality. Now he is joined by a great bass player and they create a great musical symmetry together.

Jake Shimabukuro is an absolutely amazing performer. He and his base player were the only two people on the stage, but their passion for the music (both original pieces and covers) kept the audience riveted for the entire concert.

Amazing! It is delightful to listen to his music and his skill is unmatched. Exhilarating! You will never look at or listen to a ukulele in the same way again.

Jake Shimabukuro is amazing. He has such rapport with the audience. I have seen him twice before in totally solo shows. The addition of a bass player enriched the sound without compromising the clarity of Jake's playing. The first part of the show was new songs form his latest album. The second part was some of his older material. Both were great. Even after seeing Jake 3 times, I will go again the next time he comes to town.

Last time I saw JS he was solo and much more subdued. It was different this time and I thought having Nolan on bass was a nice enhancement to his sound. JS has so much energy and puts a lot of feeling into his playing - and it's flawless. I enjoyed everything but the more acoustic sounding playing appeals to me more.

The venue and the performance of Jake was a beautiful evening. He exceeded our expectations and seems like such a genuine individual. It felt really good to be part of the evening.

I'm now a ukulele fan and a Shimabukuro fan because of this show! I can't wait until he comes back next year!

Really! really enjoyed the concert. Played different tunes, which made the concert very entertaining. I didn't even notice that the concert is almost over until he announced that he'll play the last song. WOW. I wished he'll back again next year!

Jake is the best ukulele player on the planet. The concert was very entertaining and left me in awe. After the event he signed autographs and posed for pictures for over an hour. I HIGHLY recommend going to see Jake perform. I will see you there.

Jake Shimabukuro was absolutely amazing!! I have a couple of his CD's, but it does not compare to seeing him in concert. You cannot believe the music he creates on this simple four string instrument. Highly recommended!!!

I love Jake and this was my 3rd concert. I've only seen him perform on the East Coast so it was a real treat to see him in San Diego. I like how he's constantly changing the variations of his popular songs. No matter what your age and music preference, anybody can enjoy Jake's concerts.

We've seen Jake performing with his friends in Honolulu, so we jumped at the chance to see him in San Diego and weren't disappointed. We are constantly amazed at his talent - not only is he a ukelele master, he is also a terrific composer. I know ukelele isn't something that most people are familiar with, but I would urge anyone who loves music to check out Jake if he comes to your town. You will be blown away!
