DRU HILL was AMAZING! The show started an hour late though. Dru Hill had 3 original members and one new guy, but he was sexy and a great volcalist! It didn't even matter who the original missing member was..LOL! Jagged Edge ONLY sang 5 songs!
The show was awesome! Even the DJ was amazing in the beginning of the show playing 90s music from my childhood! I love Jagged Edge & Dru Hill more now than ever!
Dru hill was great they did about an hour which was good but unwanted more be abuse I love them so much. Jagged Edge on the other hand total disappointment they came on for about 30 minutes then just walked off the stage. While I enjoyed them it was entirely to short and not worth the $$$ we paid to see them.
Dru hill was good But I came to see jagged edge who did 4 songs and walked off Not sure if dru took some of there time but that was terrible to not say goodbye Or thank you or we gotta go I was very disappointed
Absolutely LOVED Dru Hills performance!! They interacted with the audience, they were AMAZING!! The main reason I purchased tickets was for Jagged Edge. They sang really well. Was very Disappointed w/ their overall performance :-(!! They only sang 4-5 songs & left the audience wanting/waiting for more.
First of all it started, EXTREMELY late. Whole hour an a half late. The opening act, Jon B, was great but he had a longer set than Jagged Edge. They have 7 albums and did FIVE songs!!! I am a super duper extremely mega huge JE fan. I have waited sooo long for this concert and i was extremely heartbroken by their short performance. I paid to see JE but seemed like i paid to see jon b. I was so upset and i still am. They were such a disappointment although they performed those 5 songs very well. But FIVE SONGS! They didnt even do their latest album songs! Terrible. I really really love them so much but TERRIBLE!
Jon B and Jagged Edge were awesome! Although the show started late, both acts performed like their number one hit days.
Jon B stole the show! I forgot the show started 1 1/2 late. He was the opening act for Jagged Edge, but they had some issues with their performance. Jon B perform all the old school jams (Don't listen to...what people say....They don't know about this here) and he performed songs from upcoming album. Jagged Edge song about 5 songs by other artists (an Usher song) and maybe 2 or 3 of their songs. Jon B was on stage for about an hour. Jagged Edge...on stage for about 30 minutes. Recommend only for Jon B.
I had been waiting so long to see my favorite group and when I finally saw them they were very disappointing. They sounded very well but were late and didnt perform many songs. I was looking forward to hearing my favorite songs and was highlu upset when they just walked off the stage and left without saying goodbye....boooo
I was left disappointed with the number of songs performed by JE. They left the stage abruptly and everyone was left wondering if the show was over. In saying that, the songs they did sing, I enjoyed; however, Jon B, the opening act (who I love), performed more songs. While I like Jon B., that's not who I paid to see.
My wife and I went to the Jon B./Jagged Edge show on August 11th for her birthday at the Howard Theatre. Jagged Edge gave the worst performance I've seen since Vanilla Ice! Not only were the late arriving; their performance was uninspiring and short. They complained about the theatre being hot after having us waiting for dayum near 2 hours. Personally, I don't care if they were hot. If they were that uncomfortable LEAVE (which they did) and RETURN my money (which they didn't). I will never EVER go anywhere see them perform again even it were free. btw, Jon B. is actually the reason I gave this rating one star. Would have liked to have given it to far but that means the word FAIR would have been associated with Jagged Edge. ps: I compliment just as I complain and usually I don't have much to complain about, but Jagged Edge was the worst!
I was very disappointed with this event. It started a hour late. Jon B gave a great performance. Jagged Edge started out doing good, but then they just walked off stage and never came back. We stood around waiting for them to return. We were told by one of the waiters that it was over. When you spend over $280 for tickets and $290 for dinner you want to get your moneys worth. Frankly, we did not.
I LOVE JE...LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE JE. HOWEVER, I was disappointed with the show's ending. The performance was great while it lasted however it was only about 35mins! The opener, Jon B, was on stage longer! Also the group clearly did not follow the performance outline and skipped performing "He Can't Love You" which is not only one of my favorite JE songs but one that I feel helped to propel them into the spotlight and garner fans. The group's exit was also disappointing...there was no "goodbye" "thanks for coming" "we enjoyed dc" NOTHING....exit stage left with one member saying "JE Heartbreak Vol 2 in stores this winter". It was so abrupt that a great majority of the crowd stuck around for another 3-5 minutes like "this is a joke right? They're going to come back and perform right?". I do give the performance 4 stars though...because well as I said I LOVE LOVE LOVE JE. Jon B was also great, though I don't know as many of his songs, he was personable and very crowd-engaging.
Show started one hour and 30 minutes late with no comment from manangement. Jon B. was decent. He performed for an hour. Jagged Edge only performed for 30 minutes. Half the time was spent talking. They just left the stage all of a sudden. Everyone was thinking they were coming back until the curtains closed and the lights came on. The food at the Howard Theater is terrible and overpriced. Food was cold and greasy. I had the entree with fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and collard greens for $24. I got a leg and a thigh. I could have gotten better at KFC for a whole lot less. I will not patronize the Howard theater again.
First the show was an hour + late getting started. Then Jagged Edge wasnt on the stage very long. I felt cheated at the end of the performance. Everyone in the theater was standing around waiting for them to come back out. No one could believe that it was the end of the show.
Overall it was good, I understand there is first come first serve basis, but i wasn't expecting that, I had a great time, next time ill bring my cane for support or get there eraly, just a little upset the show started late, and Jagged edge gave a short performance, but overall experience was great 8 out ff 10
I have loved JE since the beginning so i was VERY dissapointed at the amount of time they performed. Jon B is cool and was great but since when is the opening act longer than the main attraction. Once again i was really dissapointed but overall the show was great.
Jon B was on point. Had songs for an hour. Jagged Edge may have been up there for a total of 15 minutes. Sound quality messed up. Started an hour and 15 mins late.
Although I love me some Jagged Edge and Jon B., I have to complain! First of all the show started at 9:15pm, when our tickets stated 8pm! Second, there was "standing room only", although we arrived at 7pm! The Howard Theatre was too small for the acoustics and the crowd that came out to see Jagged Edge and Jon B. Because it sounded as if Brandon and Brian's voices were muffled through their songs! And third, the songs they sung were sung over pre-recorded music instead of a live band, which wasn't as entertaining! The Howard Theatre is a very nice venue, but this event should've taken place at the Verizon Center, Constitution Hall, or even at Wolf Trap! There are obviously alot of Jagged Edge and Jon B. fans in the Metropolitan area and for those who didn't have a 'reserved seat', to have to stand for 4 - 5 hours to enjoy them, was kind of a bummer! So, that being said, my opinion is next time, book them at a larger venue, so more of their fans can come out and enjoy them and so that we can sit down if we want, to enjoy them!!!
