  • Waste of time and $$

by TNDJ on 2/19/14Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 1 out of 5

This show was a waste. Wish I could get a refund. The show was highly unorganized and the acts (who were veterans in the industry) were not shown a lot of respect onstage by the host. The show started late, the opening acts were lackluster to say the least. The choreography was outdated. The actual singing was all very good. But the major downer happened after sitting in the tight seats of the packed arena from 8-11pm to see the headliners Jagged Edge, they came out onstage complaining about the fact that were pressed for time and the promoter was rushing them, they performed 4 songs and left the stage. I have been a Jagged Edge fan for over 20 years and finally get to see them in person and this was my experience. $140 wasted for 2 tickets! RIDICULOUS!!! Never again

Promoter needs to make sure he has enough time for all artist to perform and better sound man.

  • UNORGANIZED AND TOO MANY PEOPLE ON THE STAGE!

    by Shay5 on 2/18/14Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 1 out of 5

This was by far the worst concert I have been to. You could tell that there was no prior sound checks. The concert was fine until Case came on stage then the stage was filled with random people standing on the stage not behind the curtains being very unprofessional. I counted well over 40 people on the stage! Also during Case performance some guy with the shirt SUICE on the front, was at the back of the stage standing arguing with who looked to be the event organizer, everyone could see it and all of this was occurring while Case was performing. Also during Case performance the sound was terrible the DJ did not know what song to play the music sounded muffled. Lastly BIG disappointment when Jagged Edge (JE)came on the, stage Same 40 + people that was on the stage when Case was performing was still there with their phones out taking pictures while the show was going on. And JE only performed for a total of 15minutes. Also there were sound issues one of the performers from JE microphone was not working. I don't understand how the headliner would only perform for such a short time. It seems as if they could have done this in a club because there was no effort from Case or JE to put on a High quality show.. ONE MORE THING R.L From Next did not show up big let down! Meli'sa Morgan and Intro put on a AWESOME show I would had preferred the show ended with their performance. They were very prepared and knew how to engage the crowd. I would love to see Meli'sa Morgan perform again in Charlotte NC (She was phenomenal)! As long as it is hosted by a PROFESSIONAL PROMOTER!First time ever seeing her and I will definitely come back to see her again. The main act was such a BIG let down more effort should have been made to show appreciation for the fans! Who ever was the promoter for this event I will never support an event hosted by them again! VERY DISAPPOINTED!

  • No Laughing Matter

    by ASmithdst14 on 2/18/14Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

The show was great!!! The only problem was obviously the auditorium has an eleven o'clock curfew. The show had to end before 11pm and all of the final acts especially Jagged Edge had to rush their proformance. It was very disappointing to see them rush through some great songs!!!

Worst concert ever. No live band. Sound system quality was extremely poor. Main act only played 4 songs because there was "no time". Whole concert was extremely poorly organized.

  • The worst concert ever

by lcarrion on 2/18/14Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 1 out of 5

The concert was a waste time and money it remind me of a middle school talent show. The seats are too small and too close together. On each side of the stage was a crowd of people. The sound system was terrible. The music was louder then the performers, some of the microphones were not working. The unknown act of the male and female was a joke the female was lip singing. The group INTRO could not sing at all. I dont know why they were even there I guess they were called at the last minute since NEXT didnt show up. Thumbs up to Melissa Morgan she had the best performence she worked the stage all by herself. Thumbs down to the other performers. I will never attend any concerts at Ovens again.

  • Would have loved to see more Jagged Edge

by MissLVMorgan on 2/18/14Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

Some of the other acts went too long and we only heard maybe 4 songs from Jagged Edge. But it was a good show! Could have left the local act out!!!!

  • Nice Groups

Wish jagged edge could stay a little longer, I still had a nice time.

by Briellejjjj on 2/18/14Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

The show overall was a good time. There was laughter and love all night long. The first three or two performances sucked Jeff Reed Intro however me'lisa more fan case and jagged edge brought their A game ! jagged edge could've done a couple more songs since they were the stars of the night but over all great show

  • Jagged Edge killed it

by lakebr on 2/18/14Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

Melissa rocked it! Intro did their thing! HiFive well let's just say I missed the lead singer. Their was one member who opened his shirt start grinding with what I don't know (thought he was having a Eddie Cane moment...lol 5HB). Just keep your shirt on next time you were not ready. Jagged Edged turned up sounds better in person than on the radio. Them boys can sing needed more time they had to rush.

  • Front row was to close!

by DConcertGoer on 2/18/14Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 3 out of 5

Okay so where do we start the show started late and with that many people on the bill I didn't think that the promoters planned the run of show well at all. Melissa Morgan should have been the headliner. I didn't think the artist line up was correct. Intro only had one of the original members which was a big disappointment. The comedian wasn't really funny and since we had to be out of the auditorium by 11pm Jagged Edge only did like 3 songs. I paid ways too much money for my ticket to see such a unorganized event but at list the songs took me back in time (since no one on the has had a album out in years!) Half way through the show a million people were on the stage for no reason watching the show which was distracting. Like honestly the show could have been Melissa Morgan, Jeff Redd, Case, & Jagged Edge. Sorry but the replacement singer for HiFive wasn't close to Tony and all 3 new member of Intro couldn't match up to Kenny voice(original lead for Intro). I honestly only gave the show a 3 because I enjoyed Melissa Morgan so much.

I was disappointed in jo jo being so drunk that he couldn't sing. I am a huge fan and I was really upset, they are who I came to see. Man his addiction is really bad. I feel bad for him and his family. I gave it 3 stars for the other groups but kci and jojo 2 stars thanks to kci

  • by BLDJQA on 2/17/14Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

I really enjoyed the show. The DJ was great, Fly Ty is a fool!!! I did not like the first two acts and the sound system was awful. But as far as the main attractions: Melissa, Jagged Edge, Case Yes they were amazing!! I wish the first two acts could have been cut out so jagged edge could of had more time. They were the main attractions and I felt others sung more songs than they did. If there is a curfew on building I suggest starting maybe an hour sooner to give them more time since that is who everyone came to see anyway! But overall I was really pleased with the concert.

  • Jagged Edge was the worst concert

    by Renee32VA on 2/16/14Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 1 out of 5

This was the most horrible concert I have ever been to. The venue was nice but the sound was horrible. The speakers had too much bass and the microphones kept making screeching noises. There was a few local acts that were horrible and a waste of time. When jagged edge finally came out they did one song, and starting saying they were out of time. They did a second song then said they were out of time again and the venue was kicking them out cause they had a curfew. All in all Jagged Edge did 3 songs. That is not the definition of a headlining act. The tickets were extremely expensive to hear 3 songs. I will never see them in person again.

  • Jagged Edge was the BEST!!!!!

by Blueyezmissy on 2/14/14Terrace Theater - Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center - Long BeachRating: 5 out of 5

This was my 2nd time seeing them in concert. I wish they would be in concert more. They sang all the old hits. I can't wait til they are in concert again!

  • not great but not bad

by Justin13131313 on 2/13/14Terrace Theater - Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center - Long BeachRating: 4 out of 5

I expected a little more from these performers, jagged edge in particular. They played 3 or 4 of their songs then the rest of the night was spent talking to their dj on whether rap was better than r&b. For the next 20 minutes they sang other people's music, not theirs. Kci & Jojo wasn't bad but neither one of them seemed to want to be there imho. Good music though. Silk put on a hell of a show, I would see them again if I had the chance. Everyone's mics throughout the night were too loud. Like everyone was trying to compete with eachother. If it was a little quieter vocally it would have been a much better show.

  • Jagged Edge was the Best!!!

by ArmaMartin on 2/12/14Terrace Theater - Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center - Long BeachRating: 4 out of 5

It was a really good concert. I was impressed with Silk, they put on a good show. Of course Jagged Edge did a great job and song two of my favorite songs off of their JE Heartbreak Album. KC and JoJo were good as well. We were lucky enough to have KC sing a song on the top of a chair right behind us. Overall, it was a nice event and for a good cause.

  • SPEEDY WAS GOOD!!

by LOVADRIENKA on 2/12/14Terrace Theater - Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center - Long BeachRating: 2 out of 5

I HAVE TO SAY THAT THE MC SPEEDY WAS FUNNY AND KEPT THE SHOW MOVING. I WAS DISSAPOINTED WITH MUCH OF THE ACTS ESPECIALLY KC AND JOJO IT SEEMED LIKE THEY WERENT INTO IT AND THEY HAD FORGIOTTEN THE WORDS TO THEIR OWN SONGS MUMBLING AND HUMMING. THATS WHAT FANS DO, NOT ARTIST. I WAS DISSAPOINTED JUST BECAUSE I SUPPORT HOW THEY HAVE REBOUNDED BUT IT WAS JUST NOT A GOOD SHOWING MANY PEOPLE LEFT 15 MINUTES INTO THEIR SET SHAKING THEIR HEADS WANDERING WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING ON AND I LEFT DISSAPOINTED AND HAD THE FELLING THAT ONE OF MY FAVORITE R&B SINGERS MIGHT HAVE FALLEN OFF THE WAGON AGAIN?
