Jacksonville Jaguars Team History
The Jacksonville Jaguars joined the NFL in 1993 along with the Carolina Panthers, bringing the NFL’s total franchise number to 30. In their inaugural season in 1995, the Jaguars became the first expansion team in NFL history to record a .500-or-better division record in its first season. Since their inaugural season, the Jaguars have won two AFC South championships and made eight playoff appearances.

Jacksonville Jaguars at EverBank Stadium
Since their inaugural season in 1995, the Jacksonville Jaguars have played their home games at EverBank Stadium in downtown Jacksonville, Florida, along the St. Johns River. The 67,814-capacity stadium opened in 1995 as Jacksonville Municipal Stadium, then underwent numerous renovations and name changes (to Alltel Stadium in 1997, EverBank Field in 2010, TIAA Bank Field in 2018, and EverBank Stadium in September 2023).

We got there early and didn't have any traffic issues. Had a great time tailgating with the Buffalo Mafia. Everyone we met was very nice, both Jaguar and Bills fans. Really enjoyed to flyby. The stadium was clean with plenty of food to choose from and tons of souveniers. I really wish warm weather states would play day games in the late afternoon. The sun was brutal. Most people went inside to watch the game on TVs. Defiently one of our favorite older stadiums. Downtown Jacksonville needs a lot of work. So much ppotential.

I enjoy going but it everytime I go there’s gotta be somebody that wants to start something to me for the team I support. A lot of jag fans are very hostile. I understand we’re rivals but there’s no need to be rude about it. I cheer for my team just as you cheer for your 0-20 team.

Absolutely no shade in this stadium for a 1:00 game! Jags not a good football team so made the afternoon even rougher. Maybe a 4:00 game would be better or later in the season.

Everyone we encountered, be it staff, vendors, workers and fans, were all friendly and courteous. Really. Bonus: during National Anthem all players stood, visiting team as well. The stadium is easy to navigate including the parking (We parked outside the stadium but walking to it was quick and convenient) and the staff were very nice. I don’t think there’s a bad seat in the stadium. Our seats were excellent. Loved the energy.
