    Amazing skating

by Skating Fan on 3/27/24Centre Bell - Montreal

For anybody who loves figure skating, Worlds is a dream come true. The event was very organized, right down to the minutes. My only issue with the event was the venue. The seats and views were great, but skating fans arrive at the rink to watch practices in the morning and stay until the events are over in the evening. The schedule is so packed that there is only about an hour between events, which doesn't leave enough time to leave and have a meal. Bell Centre has tons of great concession stands - I've seen them open during other events! But at Worlds, we were stuck with hotdogs, poutine, and pizza (when they didn't run out of pizza!). Please, for future events, consider opening some healthier options! You have the locations. Open them up. Fried foods for 4 days is not a great option for anyone. To be honest, after day 2, I started smuggling in food for the 12-hour days. Salad packs stuffed inside my jacket. Paninis in my mitten. I just couldn't bear the thought of eating another tray of fries...

    Beautiful skating

by Skating lover on 3/27/24Centre Bell - Montreal

I loved both parts of the show, the ice dancers and the men. I was disappointed that my seat in Section 118 row P had an obstruction - a large cable - that split my view in 2. And that with paying quite a hefty price for the ticket. Still extremely enjoyable and magical.

    Miracles on Ice, 2024

by Calderjan on 3/26/24Centre Bell - Montreal

The ISU World Championships 2024 were a dream come true. The skating was sublime, the venue, the lighting, the music, the organization, all were wonderful. It was thrilling to see favorites and about-to-be-new-favorites on the ice. The crowd was vibrant and enthusiastic in its support of the athletes. People waved national flags for every performance. The applause was generous. And everyone was so nice. It was an exhilarating few days, to be treasured forever.

    Ellen's Review

by Ellen's Review on 3/25/24Centre Bell - Montreal

There didn't seem to be enough ushers to help patrons find their seats though the stadium was pretty self-explanatory. However, there were not nearly enough food vendors open nor were there enough options for the relatively large crowd attending the World Championships.

    Best day of March 2024

by gen on 3/25/24Centre Bell - Montreal

We enjoyed the 2 shows: ice dancing and women. There was no line up to get in. The sound was good. Even though we bought the cheapest tickets, we could see very well the skaters. The atmosphere was good. The emcees spoke very well in French and in English. The skaters showed passion.

    Great skating, underprepared arena

    by Lcommisso04 on 3/25/24Centre Bell - Montreal

The skating was fantastic! The judging and scores seemed fair. The crowd was mostly respectful. The ladies in the suites seemed to forget that the rest of the arena can hear them, it isn't like all the walls are closed. The venue was SORELY underprepared for the amount of women there. Bathroom lines were bananas. Often places were out of soap. There were incredibly limited food options: pizza, pretzels, below average poutine, and hot dogs. Everything else was closed, including the Tim Hortons. We're all sitting in this freezing ice arena and you don't open the coffee and donut stand? Silly! Instead, many of us left to go across the street, which also had giant lines, so by the time you get back, you've missed a couple skaters' programs. The whole thing seemed so unnecessary.

    A nice experience

by Dave from NY on 3/25/24Centre Bell - Montreal

This was my 2nd competition but my girlfriend’s first. The events were organized well and on time. We were in the balcony first row which I consider great seats. We ate at the restaurant Sports bar which broke up the day nicely. Food was excellent. On the negative side, we were lucky to get parking on Wednesday, the other two days were no problem. As senior citizens, it was stressful driving through downtown Montreal. Our hotel was 20 minute’s away. I was disappointed that every food stand had the same menu. I forgot to mention that all the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. My girlfriend was thrilled to see the event in person. I would have liked if the big tv screen showed the lead skater and performing skaters score like they do on TV. Also what type jump etc. they were programmed to do. Overall it was a nice experience.

    Figure Skating Worlds 2024

by Alison on 3/24/24Centre Bell - Montreal

The Montreal organizing committee should be extra proud of hosting an exceptional event. The Bell Centre is so well located in Montreal. We experienced incredible hospitality, dining, and of course world class skating. The venue staff and volunteers were always friendly and helpful. Bravo!

    Food?

by Curly Deb on 3/24/24Centre Bell - Montreal

The event was generally good in terms of the skating but the food at the arena was unacceptable. People coming to this type of event spend up to 12 hours in the arena and they need more options than fries, hot dogs, nachos, chicken tenders, popcorn, and pizza, for 6 days. One additional concession eventually opened that had some salad and some cold sandwiches. Apparently the Bell Centre thought people would leave between events and go to restaurants, so they did not open all their concessions. When there is maybe 1.5 hrs between events, that is not happening unless you want to miss the first flight or two of skaters in the next event. When you’ve paid in excess of $2000 for all-event tickets you want to see everything. The lack of concessions open was not only insufficient for the volume of people causing crazy line-ups but also lacking in consideration for any dietary constraints that people may have had. There were also many older people who may not have had the option to leave the building between events because of mobility issues. I saw many struggling with the stairs. I’ve been to three other world championships in other cities and this was by far the worst in terms of food offerings. You come expecting to eat arena food (i.e., expectations are not high) but this was especially subpar given the options showing on the Bell Centre’s website that were not opened for the event. My average rating for the event is primarily based on the food.

    Hooked on Worlds!

by ZALI on 3/24/24Centre Bell - Montreal

Thank you ISU for hosting this world-class event in Montreal. It was my first experience attending this caliber of competition and Montreal. Both were delightful. I was not pleased with the tight seating and the long lines for food and toilets.

    Disappointed

by Olive on 3/24/24Centre Bell - Montreal

Organization was quite disorganized. However, I must say that the skaters themselves were amazing. They put on a fantastic show and their skills were truly impressive. Unfortunately, one major issue was the high cost of the tickets. Many people I know were unable to attend because the prices were simply too expensive. It was disheartening to see that more than half of the seats remained empty throughout the event. I understand that the organizers want to make a profit, but it seemed like a case of greed to have such expensive tickets while leaving so many seats unfilled. It's important to consider the affordability of tickets and ensure that they are reasonably priced to attract a larger audience. Otherwise, what is the point of having high-priced tickets if they are not being sold and the event is not financially successful?
