Iowa Speedway was a very impressive place to attend races. The facility is clean and staff friendly. The concert after the race was great. Lots of security and the crowd was really into the music. I took my children and felt safe and comfortable in the facility.
The Iowa Speedway is simply amazing. I have been to multiple races over the past couple years and the track and facilities continue to get better and better! The weather was beautiful at this 3/4 mile track, with not an empty seat in the house. The racing itself was very fast and high paced with only 3 cautions which made for excellent green flag racing. The race itself could be slightly longer (it was over in 2 hours) and the field could be increased to more cars, but great for seeing a live event in your home state. And all concessions were reasonably priced! Beer was $5 for a 16 ounce Miller Lite (could switch back to Budweiser products like the first year). The food vendors were very nice and quick and the displays of merchandise had the big time feel with the down home atmosphere.
Good race, good venue. Traffic control was well done. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Skipped the concert, but the race was great.
The event was interesting, the food eclectic and the crowd was very supportive. Beautiful night to enjoy Iowa at its best.
One of the best races I've ever been to. I would recommend Iowa Speedway to any fan of IndyCar racing or just racing in general.

I have been to over 50 IndyCar races, and this one was one of the most entertaining races I have ever seen. The facility was very clean and the staff was very hospitable. The vending prices were very reasonable. The only issue I had was the fact that there was only 1 race. The day before there were 3 support races, and moving one of those races to Sunday, after the IndyCar race would put more value in the tickets. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience Sunday, and plan on attending next year.
If you like racing, I strongly recommend the upper-deck seats. We were in the 4th row from the bottom and could see 100% of the track. They were racing wheel-to-wheel for lap after lap, changing only inches. I have never seen such close racing on a paved track. They could go through corners three wide. The racing was electric. If you truly like racing, the upper deck here may just be the best place in the world to watch it. Access was easy, and everything was extremely-well managed. This was my first time, but it definitely will not be my last.
Unfortunately, the threat of severe thunderstorms kept some 5000 ticket holders and a significant number of walk-up ticket buyers from attending the best Iowa Corn 250, yet. We all thought the race would be delayed, but the rains took a turn to the south and never came. Those who didn't show missed a great race. 16 lead changes, side-by-side racing, and TK overcoming three years of crashes in Turn 2 to win. That's two out of four wins at the track for Andretti Racing. Hope this wasn't the last race of the season for Ryan Hunter-Reah. He deserves a ride. Meanwhile, can someone explain to me how the most dangerous, worst open-wheel driver on the planet continues to find sponsorship? Milka Duno caused numerous drivers (e.g. Marco) to take risky evasive maneuvers to avoid her. Each year she drives 10-15 mph slower than everyone else. She needs to be black flagged from the series.
Easy in and out, least hassle for a race ever. There's a lot to be said for an event in the middle of farm country, 1/4 mile from I 80. And as always the people in Iowa are nice.
Great venue for a race; great traffic control; Indy cars are the BEST!!!
Very well done. I was extremely impressed with the level of professionalism in all areas. From the parking lot to the last lap the whole experiece was delightful.
The weather turned out great -- and the competition in the race was even better. It's special to see the top Indy drivers. The 6th row from the track was loud, dizzying, and you could smell the fumes -- just what every real racing fan loves!
The race itself was a good time, but what surprised me was how easy it was to get in and out of the Speedway. Staff were plentiful and friendly. No problems!
This was the best race I have seen in person. Lots of lead changes and side by side racing. The facility is awesome and Iowa is lucky to have it.
Iowa Speedway is a nice place. The only negative part was that we almost got stuck parking because the parking area was so muddy. :) But, once we got pushed out and parked and got into the venue everything went perfectly. The lines were short, there were a lot of food vendors, bathrooms were kept clean. The race was nice and loud :) My first race, I didn't realize how loud it is :) After the race they had Rehab in concert. They were so good!!!!!!!!! I will come back again to Iowa Speedway.
Music was good Racr announcer was bad times for cars should have been post on scorcing tower so people could get them
This is the first time my husband have been there in Newton at the race. What a clean and friendly place. Very helpfull staff espically when you don't know were the seating is that we were to be in. The race was great the show before the race was very nice. Wasn't that far to walk which is very nice even if we were in general parking. My husband and I will deftinely be comeing back can hardly wait.
parking needs work. facilities were good and our seats were good. Plenty of concessions. Plenty of Vendors. Nice bathrooms. Race track was great!! Race was Great! Staff was helpful and courteous. We tried to buy both Nascar and Iowa Speedway items and found that the supply was inadequate. Also, We wanted to buy the Nascar raceday pin and were unable to find anyone selling them.
Had a very good time, would rather had tickets for Sunday, but they were a gift. Races were run really smooth, weather was "racing hot" and will do it again July 31st.
