A festival of music and wonder that exhilarates you to the rhythm of a major musical lineup, while making you experience hot air balloons in all its facets. Each year, it colors the sky with the largest number of balloons in the country. Added to this are a number of activities, a large ride area and an offering fit for foodies, all of which contribute to the unifying atmosphere of the festival.
The manager stopped Bebe rexha before she finish her performance. Even Bebe rexah and the audience expressed than they want to continu under the rain just 2 songs to have the full experience. we didn't see the mongolfières because of the rain. So much disappointed at the end of the concert.
I wanna start saying that even tho it was the worst festival in terms of entertainment, bathrooms we clean, food trucks were quick and parking was easy to evacuate. Saying all that I want to start saying I did not see one balloon. The whole day and afternoon were beautiful and there was no balling in a festival of balloons. It started raining around 5 and then balloons that were supposed to be up at 9pm were cancelled. The main artist Bebe, was cut out of stage in the middle of a song for us to evacuate because it was going to rain even harder. Although I understand it was because of safety reasons, we cannot take responsibility for the weather and we should be either reimbursed or given a ticket for another day so we can actually see a ballon show in a ballon festival!
Sooo excellent and attractive . But I prefer you sell coupons on ligne because took times for buying the coupons . We had to gave up having fun in amusement park 😔
In the airport, no trees around, at 31 degrees celcius, with 10 food trucks for at least 50 thousand people. There aren't enough banks, and if there are, they are all in the sun. Had to wait 2.5 hours for the worst nachos and popcorn I have ever eaten in my life. Get ready to be dehydrated and drained. Will never go to this festival ever again.
It was very nice. However it was way to overcrowded. Parking was chaotic. Not enough food trucks or stands. Major lineups for everything. Show was great but perhaps not age appropriate there were a lot of families with kids and there was quite a bit of swearing. Overall it was nice to have this event back just wish they were better prepared for the large crowd.
Badly organized, took 2 hours to get food. When you know how many tickets are solde then you should prepare accordingly. Not a good experience
Too many line ups for food or even for water. With s hot day its unacceptable to amke people wait 45 min to refill their bottles of water. We left before the show because we were hungry and could not wait an hour to get some food.
There was too many people, Jason derulo was late, no place to go eat.
No shade, missing some chairs, and benches. Waited for ice cream for 45 min, and pizza for 90 min. Waited in line for beer and discovered no more beer. Jason Derulo played late. Bought 14 tickets for amusement park ride, but most of the ride needs 4 tickets, should be 16 tickets selling. Closing around 11 pm, I couldn't use 6 tickets. Parking was too dark at night, so difficult to find the car, there are no parking numbers where I parked.
All the event is over-rated and expensive for what it is... did not attended the second concert... The event is very poorly organized with huge waiting hours (queues) for everything: parrking, toilet, food, drinks etc. Will never go again...
It is more a recital than a montgolfière festival. I saw only 2 montgolfières that where always there. I was in Porto Alegre Brazil and found it much more fun. I am not going again.
Hi No idea if occupation was higher than usual but the festival definitely needs more food and beverage stands. Came with two families and we didn't get a chance to fully enjoy the rides nor everything the festival has to offer because of the wait.
The show was absolutely amazing ,I wish the security did something for the people who weren’t respecting the no chairs rule (in the no chairs area ) Beside that the night was absolutely incredible I had the best time !
Understaffed event. Not enough food and beverage places for the amount of people. Spent hours queuing for food and drinks rather than enjoying the event. Very hot humid day and seen so many people collapse. Needed more portable bathrooms and water fountains, cool down areas. Lack of information regarding entry. What is permitted/not permitted eg bring your own food and drink. Chairs, cool boxes etc Act came on stage over half an hour late this is disappointing after waiting all day especially as advertised as a family event. This was a shame as it’s a great setting and the hot air balloons were a stunning backdrop.
Great concert and family events Lack of bathrooms, lines for bathrooms were 20min-1/2h. Lack of food trucks: line for poutine were 1/2h Lack of parking and clear instructions: for what it is, the traffic was terrible going and coming out of parking
Nice place. Huge lack of foodtrucks. The lines were overflowing, and astonishingly too long. Waited 1h30 minutes for a poutine. Also lacked of water stations. Had to wait 45minutes at one of the only TWO stations. Show place was nice and convenient though!
Parking was a disaster…took an hour being redirected everywhere. Jason Derulo took his time getting started. Lines for bathrooms and bar/restaurants took too long. Definitely won’t be going back. Happy I got to see Jason Derulo live though.
I'm writing to express my deception and dissatisfaction during my experience with Festival des Montgolfieres yesterday August 20, 2022; PM departure. Point #1: I booked 2 tickets for me and my partner and as we went there, we found out that there are 2 additional people in the same basket with us and that's totally fine (sharing is caring). once we found the basket, I'm sure my partner wouldn't fit there and I'm sure we would have dragged him all the up to the sky as there was no place in that basket. my partner didn't feel comfortable being skin to skin with people, so he decided not to take the flight and stayed on land. Point #2: The balloon departed at 6:54 PM and landed on at 7:15; not even a complete 20 mins while other balloons kept flying for more than 50 and 60 mins. not sure on what basis, the organization decides that these people will fly for this amount of time or that amount of time. and let me tell you in case you're not aware, the ticket prices aren't cheap!!!! Point #3: I have attached a video for you to look at, and you will our amazing/mission impossible landing that we had. Myself, I'm not able to walk on my right leg today and the lady that was with us in the balloon is having some major back problems. While others had safe landings, we didn't get an apology or an explanation from the pilot himself. i showed the video yesterday at the ticket place and they suggested we come back on the 21st to do the morning flight, but with me unable to walk on my feet today, not sure how I will have to travel from Montreal to the festival site and enjoy this ride. . I'm super deceived with my experience and for sure I will not repeat it again, as when it comes to the safety measure, I found out that it doesn't even exist at the organizers, I will make sure to report that on my social media accounts. I'm not expecting any actions on their end. but since you market the festival as a great place to share amazing moments with family and friends, let me tell you something, that didn't work!
We really had a wonderful time ! The baloons were magical .. well organized at the entrance. Rides were really cool and the staff was very friendly and easy going and even gave us extra time .. the food truck selection was amazing .. quick .. The concerts were great ..
First time going. Heard about it in the past but thought it was just about watching the hot air balloons fly. But it was a lot more than that, so many activities to enjoy especially for the kids. Lots of choices in food trucks, and a nice concert to enjoy at the end of the night for the adults. And the hot air balloons was definitely a beautiful thing to see from the inflating to take off, and to lighting them at night. A must experience event!!!
