About

With a warm, relatable sound that has captured the hearts of countless fans, Michaelson's compelling story as a highly successful unsigned artist first achieved national attention with multiple song placements on the hit television series Grey's Anatomy. The show's producers became so enamored of her music that they chose Michaelson's "Keep Breathing" to air during the final six minutes of the 2007 season finale, resulting in massive and immediate mainstream exposure. Her ubiquitous hit single "The Way I Am," off her breakthrough album Girls and Boys, was not only spun on radio stations all over the country, but was featured in a major national television commercial for Old Navy. Ingrid has since appeared on Good Morning America, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and was the first unsigned musician ever selected as a Vh1 "You Oughta Know" artist.  The New York Times has described Michaelson's unique musical approach as "soulful, idiosyncratic" and Entertainment Weekly described her as "a deft mistress of quirk folk... a grassroots phenomenon." Ingrid has released all of her music via her own Cabin 24 label which has sold nearly 400,000 albums and over 1.5 million singles to date.

With the release of her new album Everybody, Ingrid brings a newfound wisdom and maturity to her music, gleaned from touring the world with musicians like Dave Matthews and Jason Mraz. On Everybody, she showcases a matured point of view as she explores a new self-realized, independent relationship with the idea of love. "'Everybody' - which is about a big idea," explained Paste Magazine, "chronicles a relationship so intense and volatile that both lovers lose themselves within it. ‘Everybody' is truly everybody's."

This was my second concert in my whole entire life. The environment that was felt in this place was amazing. Everyone coming together and sharing the love for same music and singer. The venue is by far one of my favorite ones. The staff is extreme helpful and ready to help you! Definitely attending more concerts here! Ingrid gave a fantastic show and made it feel very intimate! She even did a meet and great for everyone.

I had a blast at Ingrid Michaelson at the Wiltern. Our seats were easy to find, the view was really decent for the ticket price. I’ll definitely return to the Wiltern for future shows!

    Wondrous & Magical

    by M. K. on 12/19/18Orpheum Theatre - Boston

Ingrid Michaelson puts on a breathtaking performance. Not only is she extremely talented musically, but there was never a dull moment. She's funny, witty, and downright beautiful inside and out. Her opener, Jenna Nicholls, was a wonderful addition to the show. I wish Ingrid and Jenna were on tour again as I would buy tickets in a heartbeat. Overall the show is a must see and I'll be looking forward to her arrival in Boston again next year! Thanks Ingrid and Jenna!

    ingrid michaelson

by caroline on 12/19/18Orpheum Theatre - Boston

The show was wonderful! I have been following Ingrid for as long as I have known about her. The music was wonderful; I'm not a big fan of just Christmas music, although I really liked her new songs and also the regular ones that you hear everywhere, but she made them enjoyable. I LOVED that she also did her music. I really, however, was amazed at the rudeness of the audience. So many people arrived late and it was an unpleasant distraction and people around me talked through the entire show! Why not just go out to eat and talk???? It was annoying. Also, the seats in the theater could use a makeover; not very comfortable.

It was a fantastic concert. It was the first time seeing her in concert and I was amazed. I love her music but her interaction with the audience was off the charts. She is very funny and engaging. The musical performance was great! Overall one of the best concerts!

Ingrid puts on the BEST shows! She sang a mix of holiday songs and some of her classics. The show had a great opener, lots of jokes, and some surprises. This time Ingrid decided to stay at the end of the show and meet everyone!

by Emily on 12/18/18Orpheum Theatre - Boston

I knew I love Ingrids music, but I this was the first time seeing her live. Ingrid was so funny and clever! She was ,dare I say, even more better live than on recording! She seemed so natural on stage and honestyl would be a great comedian :). I would definitely go to another concert of hers!

Decade of Ingrid concerts and still 🔥

by Ingrid Fan on 12/18/18Orpheum Theatre - Boston

Loved loved this tour. I’ve been to Holiday Hop in NYC in year’s past, and it was such a treat to see Holiday Ingrid in Boston. Having now seen her at 4 venues in Massachusetts and one in NYC, the Orpheum had more of a grown-up feel. A bit different than the front tiny room of Paradise, but equally as intimate and emotional. Thank you for continuing to release albums and tour. Can’t wait for the next decade!

    Unforgettable

    by J. D. on 12/18/18Orpheum Theatre - Boston

Ingrid’s opening act was fantastic and Ingrid was unbelievable. Witty, a sound that is powerful, inviting, and expressive, and charming all at once. Was holiday music and then some! Bravo, Ms. Michaelson. Bravo.

    Great show, horrible venue

by teciv on 11/21/16House of Blues Boston - Boston

The show was great, and listening to Radiohead's Creep played on a ukulele really can't be beat. She brings a lot of unique things to her show, and really appears to be having fun.
