About

With a warm, relatable sound that has captured the hearts of countless fans, Michaelson's compelling story as a highly successful unsigned artist first achieved national attention with multiple song placements on the hit television series Grey's Anatomy. The show's producers became so enamored of her music that they chose Michaelson's "Keep Breathing" to air during the final six minutes of the 2007 season finale, resulting in massive and immediate mainstream exposure. Her ubiquitous hit single "The Way I Am," off her breakthrough album Girls and Boys, was not only spun on radio stations all over the country, but was featured in a major national television commercial for Old Navy. Ingrid has since appeared on Good Morning America, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and was the first unsigned musician ever selected as a Vh1 "You Oughta Know" artist.  The New York Times has described Michaelson's unique musical approach as "soulful, idiosyncratic" and Entertainment Weekly described her as "a deft mistress of quirk folk... a grassroots phenomenon." Ingrid has released all of her music via her own Cabin 24 label which has sold nearly 400,000 albums and over 1.5 million singles to date.

With the release of her new album Everybody, Ingrid brings a newfound wisdom and maturity to her music, gleaned from touring the world with musicians like Dave Matthews and Jason Mraz. On Everybody, she showcases a matured point of view as she explores a new self-realized, independent relationship with the idea of love. "'Everybody' - which is about a big idea," explained Paste Magazine, "chronicles a relationship so intense and volatile that both lovers lose themselves within it. ‘Everybody' is truly everybody's."

    Easy at Webster Hall

Easy to get in, get around the venue, and get to the bathrooms. The staff was friendly and efficient.

    Never disappoints

by CoolFool on 10/31/19Webster Hall - New York

This girl could sing the phone book! Always funny, and never phones it in. The venue was great, all GA so be prepared to stand. Overall fun space, good bartenders, staff was friendly, and the bathrooms were clean.

It was a great show. Played a lot of the new album and and all of her old stuff too. Her voice was great and the band was excellent. She’s a fun performer and really interacted with the crowd, one of the better shows that I’ve seen

This was my fourth time seeing Ingrid in concert! She’s been incredible every time. She’s funny, she gives care and the perfect amount of bullying to the crowd, and her voice is perfect. Her band is phenomenal and the group’s rapport/shared looks are so fun to witness!

    Ridiculously Entertaining

by SP on 10/25/19House of Blues Boston presented by Cricket Wireless - Boston

Ingrid never fails to put on an amazing show. Her stage presence is amazing and it makes you feel like you’re watching a close friend who has no inhibitions about sharing what she’s thinking. Her music is even better live than I ever could’ve expected. Overall, I don’t ever want to miss one of her concerts because she’s so talented and down to earth, while also being side splitting funny

    Boring

by WhodeyHeatha on 10/23/19Madison Theater - Covington

This event could be way better. The music was to slow should've had the dj in the other room. Could have had drink specials. Could have had live auctions with hotel, local eatery's etc. Instead of just having online items. Could have sold breast cancer awareness items. Would not go again unless they fix this event to make it MORE FUN!!!! The artist need to be bigger and better.

    Great show!

    by B. R. on 10/21/19Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

Both Maddie and Ingrid had some technical difficulties at the start of their sets, but both were resolved fairly quickly and didn't impact enjoyment of the show. Everything else about the experience was awesome. Maddie did a great acoustic set. The downtime before the main act started was far less than at some other venues. Ingrid also did a great set, and the sound quality was just about perfect, both the mix and the volume. It was awesome seeing both performers in the lobby after the show...that wouldn't happen at a larger venue. The staff was good about being patient with the crowd lingering longer than usual to visit with the artists.

    The actual seats... Holy small.

by Expiredfruit on 10/21/19Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

The show was great, as always, but my back is still hurting three days later because of the ridiculously tiny seats in the venue. My knees were at least two inches into the seats in front of me. I have deep bruises. Not gonna see a show there again.

    Ingrid Michaelson Dramatic Tour

    by P. L. on 10/18/19The Fillmore - San Francisco

Great show and got the Gold VIP pass, so got to see the sound-check and get the group photo. I didn't get the info on check-in for VIP until the morning of the show, so if I hadn't worked so close by to the venue, I would have not been able to make it in time. Other than that, great set list and wonderful performance by Ingrid Michaelson and her band, playing the new songs, some great '80s covers, and her classics.

Not as Good as Past Years

by MiloCat on 10/17/19The Wiltern - Los Angeles

I've enjoyed her concerts not just for the music, but also her interaction with the audience. This show, she wasn't as chatty or engaging. That being said, I'll still be at her next concert.

    A Total Blast!

by Isaac on 10/12/19The Fillmore - San Francisco

This concert was nearly perfect from start to finish. We found easy parking nearby, and got to the Fillmore before the start of the first act so we had time to grab some drinks (those were expensive, but that has sadly become the norm) and find a good spot to stand. The first band, "WILD" was great - lots of upbeat, happy music. My wife and I liked their songs, and they were just fun to watch. We will try to see them the next time they are in town. Ingrid Michaelson delivered the goods. She performed lots of great songs with witty lyrics that are a blast to sing along with ("Freak Show", "Jealous", "Girls Chase Boys"), and several surprising covers. Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" and Madonna's "Material Girl" were great tributes to the originals, and I was blown away to hear a cover of the theme song from "The NeverEnding Story". Anyone who is a fan of '80's music and pop culture would love this show. The final elements of the evening were the audience and venue. I've probably seen 300+ shows in my life that span a wide range of styles. Sometimes the audience or unfortunately the venue's staff and policies can have a negative impact on the experience. The audience that turned out for this show was delightful. Very friendly and really into the music. The venue was great. Sound quality and mix was very good and sound levels were high but not overly so - just enough to feel the music but not enough to do damage (still wore some hearing protection as I normally do). If I could watch this show again, I would - I strongly recommend seeing this show if you like Ingrid Michaelson, 80's music, or just having a great time at a concert. I'll be seeing other shows at the Fillmore, too - great venue and staff.

    An amazing evening!

by suddenlyonions on 10/12/19The Fillmore - San Francisco

I had high expectations and they were all met. My husband had low expectations not knowing who she was, and they were all exceeded and, truly, capped at max-enjoyment. We both really loved the set, the charisma, the personalities and relaxation of the cast/crew involved. We really enjoyed our evening and thought this was the most spectacular show - thanks to all involved :)

    magical and awesome

    by T. H. on 10/10/19The Wiltern - Los Angeles

It was a fantastic show, Ingrid was amazing, the band was amazing and the audience was amazing. It's been a long time since I have enjoyed a concert so much. I was so stressed out coming in and I left happy and smiling. Thank you Ingrid Michaelson and Band for a truly wonderful evening of some of the best music there is. Truly refreshing

    Meet and Greet

    by A. H. on 10/8/19The Wiltern - Los Angeles

Everyone on the meet and greet team was great, and Ingrid was wonderful. However, after receiving the pictures I am a bit disappointed. They are a bit blurry and not totally clear. It is upsetting considering how much we paid for the package. My only hope in writing this is that it is fixed for future meet and greets with her so that the people after me receive excellent, clear pictures and that they get their money's worth.

    HORRIBLE VENUE but fantastic show

by samwisefan on 10/8/19The Wiltern - Los Angeles

It was my first time seeing Ingrid live. She did not disappoint. She's sounds great and she is very funny when she speaks in-between songs. I will not lower my rating out of respect to her. But the problem is that The Wiltern is THE WORST venue in Los Angeles. It's currently the best example of how a remodel can completely ruin a perfectly good venue.
