    Enjoyable

by rmiister on 5/27/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

Incogniton was great,! However, MAYSA was the "cherry on top of the sundae"!!! Just wish she could have sung more of her solo songs. Also, really enjoyed the opening act Khari featuring India Arie. This was a great surprise. As always, Incognito brings out the "FUNK" in the world of JAZZ! Thnaks for doing what you do - Incognito family....

    Incognito was fantastic!

by RI42 on 5/27/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

I enjoyed the entire concert by these talented performers. They seemed to enjoy performing as much as the audience enjoyed them. It was like sitting in on a jam session. Maysa, as well as the other singers were great. My only concern was that the musical sound could have been turned down a bit. It seemed to slightly drown out the vocalists.

    Best of the best

by gajazzguy on 5/27/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

Outstanding. I have seen a lot of concerts these last 3 years, but without a doubt this was the best. Terrific performances, wonderful venue, and the best acoustics ever. I have seen Maysa before without Incognito, but she was fantastic as well as the other vocalists. Great musicians throughout, but the keyboard player may be the best I've seen this side of Chick Corea.

    Enraptured by Incognito

by Mkognito on 5/27/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

I finally got to see my favorite band again, and it was, well, WOW!! Bluey was great, the band was awesome, and it was fabulous to see Maysa back with the group, if only for one night. My only criticism is that while the Cobb Energy Centre is a great venue, Incognito brings so much vibe, energy, and passion to a concert that a different venue that allowed the audience to get up and dance/get swept up by the music would've been better. Maybe someplace like The Tabernacle here in Atlanta. I only hoped that the band was able to feel and feed off of our energy as we were properly restrained by dignity in our seats :( (At one point, I just HAD to get up and move. I walked to the back aisle so I wouldn't block anyone's view and just did my thing :) Thank you for coming to us in the ATL, Incognito! :)

    Concert

by Alpha7 on 5/27/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

My wife and I enjoyed the event. Maysa played a critical role in the concert. I thought the added talent was well received. Excellent musicians. This guy is talented. Everything he touches turns into gold. Amen. Alpha7

    Absolutely Brilliant

by IHATETICKETMASTERALSO on 5/27/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

I have been listening to Incognito since the late 80s and have never had the opportunity to see them until now. What a magnificent band. Their music is jazzy, funky, rocky, everything I expected it to be. Come back Bluey, you will always be welcomed in Atlanta.

    Loved all 3 female vocalists

by lookinggood1 on 5/27/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

Great show as usual. The name Incognito is very suitable for this group. It has a coolness about it and that is exactly what this band is -- cool. Maysa was absolutely amazing, Vanessa and the other female vocalist were simply outstanding -- very powerful voices. Everyone in this group is so talented. They all were amazing.

    INCOGNITO WAS INCREDIBLE

by geebee715 on 5/27/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

OMG! I have been waiting to see Bluey and the band for over ten plus years now and it was SO WORTH THE WAIT! They definitely did not disappoint! First of all it was good to see and hear Indie Arie but then Incognito featuring Maysa came on stage and it was ELECTRIFYING. Two hours of listening and dancing to REAL MUSIC by REAL MUSICIANS. OMG! How have we allowed public schools to take music away from our children? Music saved so many people and to see the diverse crowd at the Cobb Centre was truly a blessing. Maysa, Vanessa and the other vocals were powerful and just wonderful. The entire band, horns, keyboards, percussion, bass, guitar, etc. was just amazing. I was in heaven the whole night. I hope I don't have to wait another ten years before they return to Atlanta. We need to keep REAL MUSIC ALIVE!!!! This is/was the show for 2011!!!!

    Incognito was absolutely amazing!!!

by SuperSLP on 5/27/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

I've listened to Incognito since I was a child. A few years back, I looked at their concert tours and saw they mainly perform overseas. When CAU announced they would be performing, I totally was on board to seeing them live. It truly was a dream come true. The opening act was great. Incognito was awesome. They performed for 2+ hours with no break. Bluey is the most humble sweet musician I've ever witnessed. The music was genuine, the band was great and the back-up singers were hillarious. I truly enjoyed myself. I would love to see them again. :)

    Incognito "Shut Atlanta Down!"

by KDofGeorgia on 5/27/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

It was worth every cent. The place was sold out! I That speaks volumes about this group. Bluey is the Man. We in the crowd went nuts. That was 2 hours of non-stop jam session. They kept us grasping for more. It was captivating.

The Best Concert... of My Life!

by ATLLiveMusicLover on 5/27/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

I sat on the front row... center! It's been two days and my voice still hasn't returned from all the singing and cheering. The band members were absolutely amazing. The vocalists... BANANAS (in a good way)! Chris Ballin showed up as the male vocalist and rocked the signature "Labor of Love". This band of top-notch artist showed why they are #1 in the acid jazz genre. The best instrumentalist and vocalist bar none. If there's any way possible to make your way to the Maryland area to see them in June 2011, you should. I'll be there... again!

    Awesome Incognito Concert

by rwirtz on 5/27/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

This gig was one of the very best Incognito concerts I've been to (I've been to about 25 all over Europe) and the fact that I saw Chris Ballin on vocals for only the second time was a big part of that. As per usual the band was tight and of course Maysa never ceases to amaze the audience with her voice and grace. With age it seems that Bluey is getting better and funnier in his introductions to the songs. (Loved how he explained Labour Of Love ... yes, Chris is a MAN!). I was also pleasantly surprised by the Cogs playing Parisienne Girl and I think Expresso Madureira could be a new Colibri, where the individual band members can shine. And there is still a lot of shine in the band, between respectably aged performers like Bluey himself, Julian Crampton, keys-muppet Matt Cooper (wicked intense as always) and relative newcomers like Pete Ray (a worthy replacement for, in my mind the best drummer of all time, Richard Bailey) and Lorraine Cato. Vanessa Haynes is really promising to be the next Joy Rose (paging Sting!) and the brass was spectacular and funny (the nerd shuffle always cracks me up). The venue, Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, is nice, very nice actually, but doesn't really invite to dancing because the space between the rows of seats are not all that big, but the (some in the) audience tried. This concert was part of a fundraiser for the only Jazz station in Atlanta and it was their biggest event yet! I really hope it was successful and, of course, we will become members of WCLK as well, since it is the only station we have a chance of hearing Incognito on the radio.
