In the Heights (Touring) Tickets

I saw it on Broadway a few years ago so my expectations were high. The sets and costumes were fun. The cast was high energy. There was a minor mic problem for one actor. My biggest disappointment was the overall volume/mixing of the show. It was loud. And the orchestra was overpowering at times. I was towards the back, that might have made a difference.

For starters, we couldn't hear words to the songs. What we did hear was only fair. We left at intermission. Dance numbers were fair but occurrred too quickly and were cconfusing. We did not see anything close to the playbill description.

The cast had an amazing amount of energy, Being in the senior age range, I did not understand all the slang or rap sounds but still found it entertaining.

the sound was soooo loud it was hard to hear the dialogue. Not sure if it was the venue for this performane was not a good fit or if the sound was just to loud. it took away from the whole performance.

Took my 13 year olds & they even admitted " it was pretty good," which is saying a lot!!

I LOVED this show! Great music and dancing. Really different!

The actors were incredible, excellent voices. What a shame it was that you couldn't hear half the lyrics because the orchestra was so overpowering it totally obliterated the voices. We even went to staff during the intermission, along with a significant number of other patrons to request the amplification of the orchestra be reviewed to enable us to hear the singing and lyrics. Obviously the patrons have no clout in this venue as our requests were ignored and the second half was just as unintelligible as the first. That being said, it took nothing away from the entire crew on stage who sang and danced their hearts out. Excellent performance on their part. would highly recommend it and would see the show again, in a different venue with a different sound system

What a great, professional performance! The lead (Usnavy) was incredible. Took my 16 year old daughter. The music and dancing was age-appropriate for her. It was a little difficult to catch everything said due to the rap-style singing at times, and because the cast often used Spanish. However, since my daughter is in AP Spanish, that just made it more fun for her! Funny and entertaining.

Must watch specially if you are away from the place you call home.

Best show of the season so far! The touring company was electrifying! Abuela had a powerful voice. We were so pumped after the show we couldn't go right to sleep!

In The Heights had all the pieces of today's world, love, fear, anger, pride, prejudice, confusion, laughter, you name it's there. All set in a realistic community. The show was excellent, the performers outstanding. I did not know anything about it before I went, but am glad I saw it. Would recommend it to all.

My children and I attended the showing of In the Heights in Syracuse, NY - my son one night ... while my daughter and I attended the next night. We had seen the show on Broadway and fell in love with it - and the show in Syracuse was well done ... perhaps not to the level of seeing it on Broadway - but wonderful nonetheless. The show is the story of Washington Heights and the friendships that grow within it. There are wonderful songs, excellent dancing - and a story to follow. You laugh - you tear up ... and you leave feeling as if you gained something. A show to see - wherever you are!

Great show. A little difficult to understand from upper level seats but an overall amazing story/show.

We were in the balcony and we couldn't always make out what the actors were saying or singing.

I enjoyed the energy and the great stage settings. I don't speak Spanish but I still could understand what was being said/sung.
