Went in with such high hopes, but found the show to be very disappointing. I felt the sound from the performers was very muddy. Just didn't find it very easy to understand. We had great seats up close to the stage, but the whole show was just a bummer. This is the first show we have seen here in Chicago. Makes we worried to spend so much money in the future.
In the Heights has great energy and was full of fun dancing, singing and a lively cast. I very much enjoyed this event and would recommend it to all.
Unfortunately the theater was FREEZING and we were unable to fully concentrate on the show. The ushers were not friendly when we asked if she could ask someone about the heat, The singing and dancing were good, but I thought the story dragged at times.
Every bit as good as the broadway show. You need to see this production.
Wonderful music, great singing, and the story of my community. I was amazed to see the number of people that finally would have an idea of what it is like to live in communities like this in Chicago
This was my second time seeing this production and I love it even more the second time around. The music, the dancing, the singing was incredible. The musicians in the orchestra pit were great. The voices of the actors were amazing. I loved the story line. This play was awesome and I would probably see it again if it comes back to Chicago. Enjoyed every minute of it!!!
This was one of the best musicals that I have seen in years! The music was great and the overall performances was outstanding! The great thing about this play is that the music catered to a younger audience as well as enjoyable for older audiences. I see why it won a Tony for "Best Musical" in 2008. Well worth the price of admission and will definitely love to see it again.

Great musical numbers that revealed the plot! Beautiful singing, super-fun dancing! Funny and touching - perfect! Spanish and English speakers alike will enjoy!
My friend and I enjoyed the show even more than we expected to. The voices were not all the greatest, but there was a lot of talent on the stage. Lively performances, longer show than we expected, but it did not drag and kept our interest the whole time. We particularly liked the woman who played the owner of the salon, very graceful and has a big voice. We had a good time and recommend it for an enjoyable 2 1/2 hours.
