About

I PREVAIL IN CONCERT:

Post-hardcore punks I Prevail haven't let up since they first grabbed fans' attention with their incendiary cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" in 2014. The band sets itself apart from the pack with a unique mix of raw punk energy, catchy hooks, and electronic textures, and in concert it all gets turned up to 11 with mosh pit-inspiring standouts like "Crossroads", "Love, Lust, and Liars", and "The Enemy". Clean singer Brian Burkheiser carries the melodies on their calm segments before screamer Eric Vanlerberghe unleashes the beast on their savage breakdowns. It's a yin-yang approach that never fails to fire up crowds at their infectiously high-energy live shows. For their Strike the Match Tour in 2016, I Prevail is teaming up with The White Noise and My Enemies & I to bring their memorable choruses and hard-hitting tones to ticket buyers across North America.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Since they first came together in Southfield, MI in 2013, I Prevail has quickly gone from local favorite to viral sensation. The group – initially comprised of Brian Burkheiser (clean vocals), Eric Vanlerberghe (scream vocals), Steve Menonian (lead guitar), Jordan Berger (rhythm guitar), and Lee Runestad (drums) – immediately started recording demos following their first rehearsals. Things took off when they released their post-hardcore version of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space", which received over 20 million views on YouTube and was featured on the compilation Punk Goes Pop, Vol. 6. Their 2015 debut EP Heart Vs. Mind garnered more attention for the group, helping them land opening spots for artists like Crown the Empire, Hollywood Undead, and Pop Evil. I Prevail thrilled fans with the announcement of their headlining Strike the Match Tour in 2016, where they brought venues like the Tabernacle to capacity all across the U.S. and Canada.

  • It was amazing

by Jerome on 7/17/24Pine Knob Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 4 out of 5

Everything about the show itself was awesome. The gates on, the other hand, were joke. They had us all lined up, waiting like cattle under the beating hot sun. Gates were supposed to open at 430. They didn't open til 455. At about 435, people started dropping from dehydration and heat exhaustion. I believe I saw 6 more go down in the 20 minutes before they finally let us in. I understand that problems arise, but if there's any chance gates won't open on time, the corral in front of them needs to be shaded. Given this specific issue, water should have been handed out freely. We can't bring our own in, and charging $5.50 a bottle when people are passing out is just ludacris. On a separate note, maybe this should have been an age restricted show. 3 of the 4 artists are quite vulgar and have very adult themed music that you have to be 18+ to buy. They amount ofnyoung children I saw was insane, and I watched one almost get trampled as the mosh pits started on the hill.

  • I prevail never disappoints!!

Love seeing these guys every chance I get. They have never put on a bad show. Love seeing the crowds growing more and more supporting them.

  • Disappointed

by KJ on 7/16/24Pine Knob Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 2 out of 5

Disappointed that Halestorm was supposed to be the headliner, but wasn’t the final band! We missed half of the reason we went, and left early…

  • Fantastic

by ScoopC on 7/16/24Pine Knob Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

Traffic was terrible, parking horrendous and construction outrageous , prices were high but HUD, Halestorm and I Prevail made it a beautiful night with my daughter.

  • I prevail at home

by K.Ray on 7/16/24Pine Knob Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

The boys are absolutely amazing every time. I was at pine knob last year for their first time there and they were amazing and you could tell how grateful and humbled they were , especially having 13,000 people, but this last time, having 14,000… You can see how emotional and grateful they were. I’m so happy to see them grow and how far they have came in the last few years. Will always be a fan of them. And will always recommend them🫶

  • A Fantastic Show

by MP81 on 7/16/24Pine Knob Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

This was our first time seeing I Prevail and they did not disappoint, playing a fantastic set for their hometown audience (on a very, very hot day). They had an excellent set with plenty of pyro and graphics. It was also great to see Lzzy from their co-headliner Halestorm come out and sing their new song with them live as well, after putting on an awesome set as they always do (we have seen them a number of times before). Hollywood Undead commanded the crowd ahead of Halestorm and was an absolute blast, and Fit For a King did a great job as the opening band. Overall, a great, fun night!

by Jennifer on 7/16/24Pine Knob Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

Pine Knob is one of the best outdoor venues around. Every concert I get a chance to go to is usually here. There's not a bad seat in the house.

  • 10/10 would go again.

by Ariel Mae on 7/16/24Pine Knob Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

Only complaint is the merch truck breaking down so they were late setting up and getting there. But that is beyond anyone's control. Life happens. It's all good. Still got my shirt and had an amazing time.

  • Rocked Balls

by That Cracker on 7/15/24Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek - RaleighRating: 5 out of 5

I Prevail came, and they brought it. The crowd was an absolute frenzy, everyone rocking hard and I rocked balls, as much as a sixty year old can rock balls.
