About

I PREVAIL IN CONCERT:

Post-hardcore punks I Prevail haven't let up since they first grabbed fans' attention with their incendiary cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" in 2014. The band sets itself apart from the pack with a unique mix of raw punk energy, catchy hooks, and electronic textures, and in concert it all gets turned up to 11 with mosh pit-inspiring standouts like "Crossroads", "Love, Lust, and Liars", and "The Enemy". Clean singer Brian Burkheiser carries the melodies on their calm segments before screamer Eric Vanlerberghe unleashes the beast on their savage breakdowns. It's a yin-yang approach that never fails to fire up crowds at their infectiously high-energy live shows. For their Strike the Match Tour in 2016, I Prevail is teaming up with The White Noise and My Enemies & I to bring their memorable choruses and hard-hitting tones to ticket buyers across North America.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Since they first came together in Southfield, MI in 2013, I Prevail has quickly gone from local favorite to viral sensation. The group – initially comprised of Brian Burkheiser (clean vocals), Eric Vanlerberghe (scream vocals), Steve Menonian (lead guitar), Jordan Berger (rhythm guitar), and Lee Runestad (drums) – immediately started recording demos following their first rehearsals. Things took off when they released their post-hardcore version of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space", which received over 20 million views on YouTube and was featured on the compilation Punk Goes Pop, Vol. 6. Their 2015 debut EP Heart Vs. Mind garnered more attention for the group, helping them land opening spots for artists like Crown the Empire, Hollywood Undead, and Pop Evil. I Prevail thrilled fans with the announcement of their headlining Strike the Match Tour in 2016, where they brought venues like the Tabernacle to capacity all across the U.S. and Canada.

All the acts were great but halestorm stole the show. They were amazing !!! Wish they were on for longer!!!

  • 100% would recommend

This was my first I Prevail concert and I can already say I want to see them again. I’m not gonna lie, I’ve been going through it the past couples months and they sang almost all of my favorite songs - definitely the therapy session I needed. To see them and like most of the songs better live, says a lot. I could feel everything that made those lyrics true to them with every song they played. 10/10 would recommend and they definitely are my favorite band (especially coupled with Halestorm) that I’ve ever seen at Cynthia Woods Pavilion.

  • Rocked out all night.

by Marcus on 8/13/24PNC Music Pavilion - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

All the bands played great sets. Head banging good time. The only reason for the 4 stars is because they shut the show early. Supposedly there was a storm coming. I didn't get to hear Hurricane cause of a hurricane. Lol.

I Prevail continues to rise and exceed my expectations everytime I see them. Seeing them at such a large venue with the biggest crowd I've ever seen them play was nothing short of awe inspiring. This is my 6th time seeing them and it just gets better everytime.

  • Absolutely outstanding!!!

by Daniel on 8/13/24The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion presented by Huntsman - The WoodlandsRating: 5 out of 5

I purchased tickets for this event 2 mths. ahead of time and had no issues at the venue. I'm 59 years old and have seen many different concerts over the last 45 years. AC/DC , PINK FLOYD, IRON MAIDEN and dozens more. It was my daughter's first concert with me and we had a great night. Halestorm and I Prevail delivered!!! Never get to old to rock out !!!

  • Thrilling Experience

by Rosiepop on 8/13/24The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion presented by Huntsman - The WoodlandsRating: 5 out of 5

Its my second time seeing I Prevail. Saw them for buzzfest but was dissappointed that the set was cut because of weather. This time around the show was amazing. The bands touring were great an I Prevail had a killer show.

  • Not who I went to see

by RC on 8/13/24The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion presented by Huntsman - The WoodlandsRating: 2 out of 5

Well, I was unaware it was a co-headline event so I was extremely stunned when Halestorm came out third on the bill. I had not even heard of the other three bands. I had given them a listen on YouTube just to hear some of their music. Honestly left after the fourth song by I Prevail. Not my cup of tea.

  • IPREVAIL turned up!!!

by Riotmaker8181 on 8/13/24The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion presented by Huntsman - The WoodlandsRating: 5 out of 5

Anytime we can get a circle pit going in the lawn section it's gonna be a great day... IPrevail did just that.. And they sound better live than on streaming... Oh and Halestorm did they thing too!!!

  • Iprevail Rocked it!

by Iprevail on 8/13/24The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion presented by Huntsman - The WoodlandsRating: 5 out of 5

Iprevail killed it! The energy level from the band was off the hook. It was Eric’s birthday and he was amped up. Loved that they played Blank Space, the duet with Lzzy Hale was incredible and the whole production with the background videos and effects was great. One of the best concerts I have seen the last few years. Halestorm was awesome too.

  • A great show

2nd time seeing them live and they put on a great show. Will see them again.

  • I was so excited……

by 1st time seeing the band on 8/12/24PNC Music Pavilion - CharlotteRating: 3 out of 5

The only reason I’m giving this 3 stars is because the main event- I Prevail- was the one band I went for and saw the least of. There was apparently bad weather that shut the concert down. But my issue is this….. when the planning of the events are taking place, the venue should try to get your main band out there. I mean, the weather forecast prob gave a heads up of some type of bad weather, more than 20 min of a warning. So why is it that we still watched Halestorm for 1.5 hours? I mean, good show, but again, poor planning on the business end for the venue. That show needed to be tapered WAY down so I Prevail could come out sooner. Honestly …. The best part of the show was the first opening band. FIT FOR A KING. I would see them, hands-down, no question, in a heartbeat again. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Not sure if I will ever go see another I prevail concert 😞 and prob the venue’s fault entirely. Oh well.

  • The best show you will ever see!!!!

by Lzzy Hale on 8/11/24Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre - St. Louis, MO - Maryland HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

This concert is about as crazy, loud, and metal as it gets! All four bands absolutely killed it (especially Halestorm 😉)! So if your taste in music is actually good you should be right in the front row at the Rock Show🤘🏻

by Kaci on 8/10/24Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre - St. Louis, MO - Maryland HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

We had premier parking, so quick and easy! Lines at the gate went really fast, just tapped my phone at the hub and ✅ we were good to go! Seats were great! Stage sets were amazing! All the bands put on an amazing show! And leaving after was so smooth, no crowded parking lines, everything was so well orchestrated. Came back again 3 days later for Five Finger Death Punch!!
