About

I PREVAIL IN CONCERT:

Post-hardcore punks I Prevail haven't let up since they first grabbed fans' attention with their incendiary cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" in 2014. The band sets itself apart from the pack with a unique mix of raw punk energy, catchy hooks, and electronic textures, and in concert it all gets turned up to 11 with mosh pit-inspiring standouts like "Crossroads", "Love, Lust, and Liars", and "The Enemy". Clean singer Brian Burkheiser carries the melodies on their calm segments before screamer Eric Vanlerberghe unleashes the beast on their savage breakdowns. It's a yin-yang approach that never fails to fire up crowds at their infectiously high-energy live shows. For their Strike the Match Tour in 2016, I Prevail is teaming up with The White Noise and My Enemies & I to bring their memorable choruses and hard-hitting tones to ticket buyers across North America.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Since they first came together in Southfield, MI in 2013, I Prevail has quickly gone from local favorite to viral sensation. The group – initially comprised of Brian Burkheiser (clean vocals), Eric Vanlerberghe (scream vocals), Steve Menonian (lead guitar), Jordan Berger (rhythm guitar), and Lee Runestad (drums) – immediately started recording demos following their first rehearsals. Things took off when they released their post-hardcore version of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space", which received over 20 million views on YouTube and was featured on the compilation Punk Goes Pop, Vol. 6. Their 2015 debut EP Heart Vs. Mind garnered more attention for the group, helping them land opening spots for artists like Crown the Empire, Hollywood Undead, and Pop Evil. I Prevail thrilled fans with the announcement of their headlining Strike the Match Tour in 2016, where they brought venues like the Tabernacle to capacity all across the U.S. and Canada.

  • You wasted my money

by DC on 10/4/22The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 1 out of 5

The live nation app said the show started at 7. I drove an hour to and from the venue, stood in the rain for over a half an hour, got in at 7 only to find that the show had started 30 minutes prior and I missed the band I wanted to see… thanks.

  • Great show!

by Kaitlyn on 10/4/22South Side Ballroom - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I Prevail was amazing! I’ll be seeing them every chance I get! I felt like the sound mixing could’ve been better. It was hard to hear Brian’s vocals throughout the set. I would’ve liked to hear him better. I could hear him but his voice was being “drowned out” by the band and other vocals. They put on an amazing show and from what I could hear, Brian and Eric’s vocals were amazing live and the band was incredible as well

  • Great energy. Good pit. Would see again.

The whole show was awesome. Lots of crowd engagement and over all good vibes. They had the most awesome pit I’ve seen in years.

  • IPrevail at the Tab

by SunshineDivine on 10/1/22Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I wish the shows weren’t starting so early because it’s difficult to make it in time for all the bands when work schedules overlap. We made it in time for Pierce The Veil and it was obvious they were the main draw. I had never seen them before and they put on a great show. They were highly energetic and definitely kept the crowds attention their entire set. IPrevail followed. This is whoo I came to see. By then the crowd had almost dropped by at least 1/4. This didnt really surprise me as most of the crowd did seem young so maybe they had to get home because it was a school night. IPrevail was wonderful as usual. They too had lots of energy and it was obvious they were putting their heart into every song. The Tabernacle is one of my absolute favorite venues in Atlanta. Not too large, not too small. Great setup and acoustics. The venue is just beautiful. Parking nearby isn’t terrible which can’t be said for most venues in Atlanta.

  • I Prevail at the Tabernacle

by JTCT on 10/1/22Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Great show. Friendly staff. Quick entry. Easy exit. The balcony moved quite a bit with all the dancing and jumping. A few times it felt a little scary.

I had a great time at the concert. All the Bands that performed were awesome! Best concert experience I’ve ever had. Everyone in the crowd was fun and took care of each other. The venue also provided water for those close to the gate/stage.

  • Best night of my life!

by Tempest on 10/1/22Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Getting to see my favorite band up close was amazing! The guys are so down to earth and they connect with the fans in a way that tells you they really care about us and love what they do. And the show itself was just phenomenal! I will definitely be seeing (and hopefully meeting) them again many, many more times!

  • Pierce The Veil

by Evi on 9/27/22South Side Ballroom - DallasRating: 3 out of 5

Honestly, I hate going to venues like these because people don’t respect personal space and it can get hot and sweaty. However, the music was great. I just don’t see myself going to anymore concerts here because of how packed it gets.

  • sooo good

  • So chill

by Kira on 9/27/22South Side Ballroom - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I loved all the bands and I love going to the ballroom it is my favorite place to go, every band had their own special flair and they rocked hardcore on the stage and I absolutely adored and loved the music that they played for us and will definitely be visiting these bands again. although there were way too many people for as many tickets were sold and there was absolutely no room for any movement. I honestly feel like at least 200 less people should have been allowed in there and it was not as enjoyable with that many people.
