I PREVAIL IN CONCERT:
Post-hardcore punks I Prevail haven't let up since they first grabbed fans' attention with their incendiary cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" in 2014. The band sets itself apart from the pack with a unique mix of raw punk energy, catchy hooks, and electronic textures, and in concert it all gets turned up to 11 with mosh pit-inspiring standouts like "Crossroads", "Love, Lust, and Liars", and "The Enemy". Clean singer Brian Burkheiser carries the melodies on their calm segments before screamer Eric Vanlerberghe unleashes the beast on their savage breakdowns. It's a yin-yang approach that never fails to fire up crowds at their infectiously high-energy live shows. For their Strike the Match Tour in 2016, I Prevail is teaming up with The White Noise and My Enemies & I to bring their memorable choruses and hard-hitting tones to ticket buyers across North America.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Since they first came together in Southfield, MI in 2013, I Prevail has quickly gone from local favorite to viral sensation. The group – initially comprised of Brian Burkheiser (clean vocals), Eric Vanlerberghe (scream vocals), Steve Menonian (lead guitar), Jordan Berger (rhythm guitar), and Lee Runestad (drums) – immediately started recording demos following their first rehearsals. Things took off when they released their post-hardcore version of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space", which received over 20 million views on YouTube and was featured on the compilation Punk Goes Pop, Vol. 6. Their 2015 debut EP Heart Vs. Mind garnered more attention for the group, helping them land opening spots for artists like Crown the Empire, Hollywood Undead, and Pop Evil. I Prevail thrilled fans with the announcement of their headlining Strike the Match Tour in 2016, where they brought venues like the Tabernacle to capacity all across the U.S. and Canada.

Insane out of body experience Id do anything to relive this day:,) no exaggeration Every performer did amazing too they did not fail to leave their mark on everyone there. Security guards did amazing on saving people who wanted to get out / passed out.
Wanted to stay for the entire show but my friends and I were getting suffocated/ trampled over by everybody else in the crowd. We went in an area we thought would be safe from moshing but everyone was acting extremely aggressive for no reason. I’ve been to alternative/rock concerts but this crowd was different. People were just feral. So disappointed. Please do better
This was the worst concert I’ve ever been too. The venue was absolutely terrible, they let the gen line in at the same time as fast pass so what’s the point in spending the extra money. And then people in the crowd were absolutely feral. There were people having panic attacks because everyone in the crowd shoved up so hard people couldn’t breathe. There were people throwing beer and punching each other and the security at the venue just stood and watched. We sadly left two songs into ptv didn’t get to see iprevail that’s how horrible the whole experience was. I will never go to a concert in Grand Rapids again especially not this venue what a complete waste of money.
I Prevail puts on a heck of a show. Full energy throughout! Their setlist was perfect. If you've hesitated seeing this band, don't, you won't regret it.
Oh dear Lord. I went expecting a good concert. Michigan Made Metal in Grand Rapids MI. I did miss the opener due to traffic and leaving work late. Damn Jason Aldean. The 2nd band was pretty good, didn't catch the name, but they went hard and heavy. I used the Mosh Pit to move towards the front, and had to make my way to Stage Left to get to my sister and friends. Pierce the Veil came out, and my God, faces melted, ears were destroyed (Shrieker behind me), and the whole place was going crazy for these guys. They really brought the energy and we have it back to them. I Prevail came out, and immediately kept the energy going. This was the best concert I've been to since Sevendust. My legs are still sore from jumping and bouncing around to the music. Thanks for a great concert, and will definitely see them again.
The venue was ridiculously overcrowded. My sister and I were basically wedged up against a 3 foot separation wall in a high traffic area. When we tried to move to a more comfortable spot, I had the back of my neck grabbed by a girl who apparently was not happy that we walked in front of her. I told security, they did nothing. I am not in my 20's or 30's and am beyond that sort of reprehensible behavior. As disappointing as it was, we decided to leave before "I Prevail" came on stage. The environment was just awful. I'm still disappointed and will never visit that venue again.
Amazing show can’t wait until they’re in Grand Rapids again!
First time Pierce the Veil has been on tour in about 5 years and they didn’t hold back at all. If your looking for a concert for you and your buddies can just come by and chill. Well just look for another band because no chilling is happening here, we expect everyone to be balls to the wall jumping around and just banging out.
I Prevail did not disappoint! They were amazing front start to finish
First off, I got to meet the band and I just want to say the guys were so sweet and funny! They put on an excellent performance, had kept the energy up in the crowd and exceeded what I thought it would be like. I will definitely be seeing them again. 😭🖤
Amazing performance by great bands. But immediately upon arriving, the womens washroom on the right from the entrance had zero toilet paper. Someone should be checking more frequently, I heard many people complaining about this. The other washrooms on sit are fully stocked but they should especially be checking that one regularly because it’s the first one at entrance.
I’ve been waiting since I was 15 to see pierce the veil and it was so worth the wait all the bands did such a good job I didn’t want it to end
This was my first time seeing I Prevail and my first time at rebel. Blown away by both! I Prevail has been my favorite band for years now so to see just how amazing they are live was awesome. Every band that night was amazing. Only wish they all played longer since i didnt want the night to end.
This was my first concert ever so I don't have anything to compare it to but OH MY GOD I had so much fun! 10/10 would attend again. I prevail has been a staple in my playlist for years and I was over the moon to see them in person
One of the best shows I’ve ever seen, as well as one of the craziest crowds I’ve seen. I Prevail is a must see live!
Went for I Prevail and they did not disappoint. Unreal show. Perfect set list. Great visuals. The most fun I’ve had in a long time. Come back soon!
I prevail was very good but show started 3 hours too late. Sound should be improved also.
The doors opened almost an hour later than what was mentioned on the ticket. The main show started at 10pm which is a little late. And finally, the sound was not great especially for the singers. We couldn’t hear them a lot so it was a little bit disappointing.
Out of all 4 bands that played, the vocals for each band were buried under the instruments. I was at the very front and couldn't hear the vocals while the music was playing. If the words to the songs were able to be heard the show itself would have been great. The bands put on a great show except for not being able to hear them sing
