About

I PREVAIL IN CONCERT:

Post-hardcore punks I Prevail haven't let up since they first grabbed fans' attention with their incendiary cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" in 2014. The band sets itself apart from the pack with a unique mix of raw punk energy, catchy hooks, and electronic textures, and in concert it all gets turned up to 11 with mosh pit-inspiring standouts like "Crossroads", "Love, Lust, and Liars", and "The Enemy". Clean singer Brian Burkheiser carries the melodies on their calm segments before screamer Eric Vanlerberghe unleashes the beast on their savage breakdowns. It's a yin-yang approach that never fails to fire up crowds at their infectiously high-energy live shows. For their Strike the Match Tour in 2016, I Prevail is teaming up with The White Noise and My Enemies & I to bring their memorable choruses and hard-hitting tones to ticket buyers across North America.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Since they first came together in Southfield, MI in 2013, I Prevail has quickly gone from local favorite to viral sensation. The group – initially comprised of Brian Burkheiser (clean vocals), Eric Vanlerberghe (scream vocals), Steve Menonian (lead guitar), Jordan Berger (rhythm guitar), and Lee Runestad (drums) – immediately started recording demos following their first rehearsals. Things took off when they released their post-hardcore version of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space", which received over 20 million views on YouTube and was featured on the compilation Punk Goes Pop, Vol. 6. Their 2015 debut EP Heart Vs. Mind garnered more attention for the group, helping them land opening spots for artists like Crown the Empire, Hollywood Undead, and Pop Evil. I Prevail thrilled fans with the announcement of their headlining Strike the Match Tour in 2016, where they brought venues like the Tabernacle to capacity all across the U.S. and Canada.

  • the concert was good, the sound is good.

by Tracy on 9/27/22South Side Ballroom - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

The venue is great. The sound is great. The bands were great. THE LINES OT GET IN ARE DEPLORABLE. It should not take 45+ minutes standing in line to get into a show. ESPECIALLY in Texas where is it 90+ degrees May- September. You get in sweaty and annoyed right off the bat. People get through security at the airport faster. With the 2 years of no-shows during Covid, you'd think they would have used the time wisely and modernized check in. You can be fast AND safe.

  • Disappointed about one thing

by CHRISSYFAN on 9/27/22South Side Ballroom - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

This show was amazing! If I could give it 4 and half stars I would. The venue is great and the line up was amazing. My only complaint is that the time changed that morning. Originally it was a 7 pm ticket/door time and 8 pm show time. The time then got moved up to a half hour before. No big deal but we assumed that was the doors open time. This was a sold out show so the line was very long to get inside and literally at 6:30 exactly Yours Truly started playing. Everyone in my party was looking forward to seeing them so it was annoying missing the first 3 songs while we tried to get into the venue. Not a complaint about the line or security doing their job but when we got the notice of the time change I wish they would have specified that was show time and not the doors open time. Overall great show and great venue!!

by Lilly :) on 9/18/22Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

This was actually my first concert ever, and I couldn’t have imagined it’d be this fun. I moshed for the first time and it was surprisingly so safe. When someone would fall everyone would huddle around them and pick them up. This concert has made me love I prevail even more, and I will definitely be going to more concerts in the future!

I Prevail is one of my favorite bands as they helped save my life during the worse moments. I almost passed away from an accident and no longer wanted to live. I started listening to them again and their songs just moved me and motivated me to keep living. I love this band and I will forever cherish what they did for me and what they've done for millions of others across the world.

by alwayspiercingmetal on 9/17/22Oshkosh Arena - OshkoshRating: 5 out of 5

I Prevail is a metal band from Detroit. They put on an AMAZING show and sound SO GOOD live. They take time to talk to the fans and keep the energy high the entire time. I wish I could be a traveling groupie and watch the show every night. Pierce the Veil had a cult-ike following with the entire crowd singing back their lyrics. I loved the show!

    by C. H. on 9/16/22Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I Prevail gave an amazing performance! This is The True Power tour and they showed that by playing 10 songs off of the new album! And they still played the older hits! If this show comes to your area, don’t miss out on it!!!

  • Absolutely life changing

by CollegeDropout on 9/16/22Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first actual concert (other than small popup concerts at casinos and bars) and MAN was it amazing!! Brian and Erik both made every effort to connect with the crowd, i even got Brian’s attention at one point, Erik came down and was giving out high fives during the show, my life has been absolutely CHANGED because of this show. Its not often you get to meet your heroes, but this was definitely the best of the best. Yours Truly was an amazing opener, Fit for a King brought enough energy for the entire show, and Pierce The Veil was incredible as well!
