I PREVAIL IN CONCERT:
Post-hardcore punks I Prevail haven't let up since they first grabbed fans' attention with their incendiary cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" in 2014. The band sets itself apart from the pack with a unique mix of raw punk energy, catchy hooks, and electronic textures, and in concert it all gets turned up to 11 with mosh pit-inspiring standouts like "Crossroads", "Love, Lust, and Liars", and "The Enemy". Clean singer Brian Burkheiser carries the melodies on their calm segments before screamer Eric Vanlerberghe unleashes the beast on their savage breakdowns. It's a yin-yang approach that never fails to fire up crowds at their infectiously high-energy live shows. For their Strike the Match Tour in 2016, I Prevail is teaming up with The White Noise and My Enemies & I to bring their memorable choruses and hard-hitting tones to ticket buyers across North America.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Since they first came together in Southfield, MI in 2013, I Prevail has quickly gone from local favorite to viral sensation. The group – initially comprised of Brian Burkheiser (clean vocals), Eric Vanlerberghe (scream vocals), Steve Menonian (lead guitar), Jordan Berger (rhythm guitar), and Lee Runestad (drums) – immediately started recording demos following their first rehearsals. Things took off when they released their post-hardcore version of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space", which received over 20 million views on YouTube and was featured on the compilation Punk Goes Pop, Vol. 6. Their 2015 debut EP Heart Vs. Mind garnered more attention for the group, helping them land opening spots for artists like Crown the Empire, Hollywood Undead, and Pop Evil. I Prevail thrilled fans with the announcement of their headlining Strike the Match Tour in 2016, where they brought venues like the Tabernacle to capacity all across the U.S. and Canada.
Got to live dream of not only seeing my favorite band perform, but I also got to meet them. Nicest guys ever.
this concert was the best one i have ever been to, everyone performing was amazing and i had such a great time. the venue was super organized and clean!
Well, the concert was great! I loved the energy from all bands playing! The setting was great and intimate. Would definitely love to see Iprevail again in concert. When he jumped in the pit with everyone it showed his dedication to his fans! Please don’t ever lose that! Great show!
Venue was great for this kind of show. And its I Prevail. Need I say more?
Didn't care for I Prevail. Only went to watch Pierce The Veil. Left after their performance like most of the people that attended.
I Prevail put on an excellent show- they are so talented and have great energy. I'm so sad for the hundreds of fans who must have been priced out from all the ticket scalping. The venue was maybe half full? The show was "sold out"! I was in the balcony and by the end of the show, there was hardly anyone up there. I know hundreds of tickets offered at $200-$300 resale from this sold out show we're still available the day before. Scalping tickets has gotten out of control and fans are really missing out. The experience is different too for those of us present at the show, with half of the venue empty. Scalpers are ruining concerts for everyone.
It was fun seeing my favorite bands in person for the first time. I wish it would go on forever but I got to sleep!
I had so much fun at the I Prevail show ! They kept the crowd hyped and gave off such good vibes. I would def go to another show theirs 😄
I prevail is an amazing band and puts on a great show. Would totally go see them again
I Prevail really knows how to put on a show!! Their live performance was amazing you can really see how passionate they are about what they do. If you weren’t there you definitely missed out!
All the bands where great. I Prevail and Pierce the Veil were amazing. The line moved pretty quickly once the door opened. Parking was fairly pain free. Getting out of parking was really easy. Only thing i can say i there wasnt really amy way to monitor who got GA standing tickets and who was suppose to be on the balcony. Im pretty sure I paid extra for my floor tickets. But the drink lines were never very long, the line for merch was pretty well organized, the venue was easy to find, I really enjoyed my time there.
Great music, good seats. I only wish they engaged with the audience more. I loved they played a variety of songs, but more interaction with the crowd, make it a little more personal. To me, that’s a live show, something more than just listening to them on the radio or music streaming service. They are my new band obsession so I really enjoyed hearing them live. Everything thing else was great. Perhaps another encore… 😊
I had a really good time seeing them for the first time live I had a fun night out with my dad we’ve waited to long to see them but we will be back for more
Iprevail put on a sick show! Would love to see them again asap! This was also my daughter first show and she had a amazing time! I only recommend they play at a different venue
First show ive been to that was inside a venue! The venue was really nice and well maintenanced. The bands were all great and wouldnt be able to complain even if I tried to! From the opening band to I Prevail, all were hits and songs that really made me actually give movement as opposed to other shows where I would just stand there and stare. 10/10 would def go again!
First concert ever it was so much fun I love Pierce the veil so much all the other bands we’re awesome aswell!!
On September 11th 2022 I had the opportunity to see the True Power Tour at the UPMC Event Center in moon township which headlined I Prevail. The opening bands included "Yours Truly" which features a very attractive female lead singer that can belt. "Yours Truly "music was new to me. Very clean, energetic sound with catchy guitar riffs and great lyrics. " Fit for a King" and "Pierce The Veil" both had a more complimentary style to the headliner. I am a fan of the music of both bands and will be adding their music to my playlist. "Pierce the Veil" was a great act leading into the Headliner "I Prevail", they really brought the energy. From the moment that "I Prevail" took the stage they created a positive vibe/energy that was both electric and soothing to the soul. I have seen "I Prevail" on two other occasions. From the first concert to this third concert. I look forward to hearing all of their songs. Their growth as a band is almost immeasurable. I give props to "I Prevail" for creating energetic music that gets right to the core of numerous issues we all face in life.
It has been a couple years since I have been to the Aragon and seen Pierce the Veil. But, the venue and bands playing were amazing. So happy with how it went.
Way to many people in venue and the bands didn’t care about the safety of their audience.
It was a great show However they should not allow hats other than caps and beanies. I had willy wonka in front of me with his top hat blocking a lot of the view
