The event was great. For me it was the first time. Very unfortunately the Havoc lost but never mind, I had a lot of fun regardless. See you next time.

About Huntsville Havoc
Huntsville Havoc at the Von Braun Center
The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) Huntsville Havoc are one of the most successful teams in the history of the league. They play their games at the Von Braun Center Arena in bustling downtown Huntsville, Alabama, adjacent to Big Spring Park and right off of the historic square. Downtown Huntsville is a haven for craft beer, coffee, dining and the arts, and a stroll through the square is a great way to start or end your Huntsville Havoc experience. Once inside the renovated Von Braun Center, championship hockey awaits you, with Coach Glenn Detulleo’s Havoc team led by players like top-scoring center Rob Darrar, captain Tyler Piacentini and promising right winger Isaac Johnson. Tickets for games are broken down into Bronze, Silver and Gold tiers, with the latter being just beyond the glass. Huntsville Havoc theme nights include a Star Wars Night, a Dog Race weekend, a St. Patrick’s Day celebration and two Alabama BBQ Nights. With well-attended games, the Havoc can boast the best average attendance in the SPHL, and that number has only gone up as the Havoc continue to raise the William B. Coffey trophy.
Huntsville Havoc Background
Entering the league in the 2004-05 season, the Huntsville Havoc are a fixture in the SPHL playoffs. The team won their first President’s Cup in 2010. And in 2018, the Havoc famously became the first fourth-seeded squad to ever win the title. They wasted no time following it up with another, when they swept the Birmingham Bulls in the finals for their second consecutive title in 2019.
The Havoc’s home rink is in the Von Braun Center, a multipurpose facility for sporting events and performing arts in downtown Huntsville. Along with the arena, the complex also features a playhouse, exhibit halls, and a concert venue that is home to the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra and once famously hosted a five-show run by Elvis Presley.

Went to watch a HAVOC game. It was a great time for a family. Facilities were clean, lots of food choice, comfortable seats, no waiting for the restroom. Great game with lots of audience involvement during intermissions.

Sit anywhere you want
by Winterland on 3/30/11Von Braun Center Arena - HuntsvilleRating: 4 out of 5Von Braun is still under construction, so it is tricky getting to the arena. However, this was not a deterant to my party due to we have been to Alabama High School wrestling State finals the last two years at the Center. (So we new our way around) The game was great, we like having seats near the box because you can hear all the smack talking and noise from hitting up against the glass. We did move up to a higher roll to see the whole hockey arena and these where a lot cheaper tickets. We could of saved money by just buying the tickets when we arrived and pretty much sit where ever we liked. Enjoyed the game just as well from the higher cheaper seats. Next time we will book seats up higher and save the money.
Awesome game!!!
by Buffy4bears on 3/28/11Von Braun Center Arena - HuntsvilleRating: 5 out of 5If you havent been to a hockey game than you are missing out on one of the roughest, fast paced, exciting sports around. Huntsville and Knoxville have been long time rivals and it makes for an even more intense game!

Lots of action
by stephneric722 on 2/28/11Von Braun Center Arena - HuntsvilleRating: 4 out of 5With the facility under reconstruction it was a maze to get where we needed. The seating area could be a little updated but sure that is part of the reconstruction. LOVED the game! Very entertaining!

Hockey
by Ac25 on 2/22/11Von Braun Center Arena - HuntsvilleRating: 2 out of 5Overall the game was fun to watch. But getting into the arena was hassle. The arena workers didn't help you find your seats at all they just pointed toward them. Once I got close to where my seats which were in 224 L. In that section the seats aren't numbered so I wondered around looking for them for 5 mins. And to go get a drink or hot dog you have to walk for 10 mins. Lots to improve on before I go back there.
Difficulty with seat
by BigRed1955 on 1/31/11Von Braun Center Arena - HuntsvilleRating: 2 out of 5I enjoyed the game but I had problems with my seat. Two months ago I had my knee replaced and it is still difficult to bend to the point I can sit comfortable in the seat. I purposely chose section 212 knowing the seats have a little more room than the cheaper seats. I talked to staff personnel to see if I can get a seat designed for someone who had some sort of handicap. I was told that there was nothing available and I had to accept my assigned seat. I ended up sitting on the arm of the seat the entire game. I will not attend another game until my knee has recovered from the surgery.
Great Game, but the von Braun Center stinks
by HSVRS on 1/30/11Von Braun Center Arena - HuntsvilleRating: 4 out of 5This was my first Havoc game ever - great team, very good, fast game, action and effort by both teams. The seat I had was also great - directly behind one goal; my luck that it was this goal where most of the action was most of the time. But to get there ... what a ridiculous odyssey. No signs, no directions, no nothing. First, I promptly went to the wrong section - 224, instead of 224L ... the L apparently is for 'Lost'. To get there, I had to ask several people, until a season ticket holder actually brought me there. Turned out that I had to enter the lower mezzanine, then get down to the ice floor, circle the ice rink for a while, squeeze myself between a concrete wall and some mobile stance to get to the backside of the (also mobile) stance where my seat was located. Well, since there were no markings whatsoever on the seats there, I just chose a suitable place - all others who had mastered this cross-country race and where looking for their seats in 224L eventually did the same ... I know, the VBC is old and the design is ridiculous and all that. But would it be too much to ask to at least hang up some signs for those of us, who do not go there all the time? Instead of fixing all the maladies of that monster, they should rather tear down the whole thing and build something new that does not have the charm of old roman catacombs.
Huntsville Havoc Hockey
by Hotylady on 1/17/11Von Braun Center Arena - HuntsvilleRating: 5 out of 5Huntsville Havoc Hockey game was awesome! It was my first one here. I always go to Nashville, TN to see the Predators.. NHL. My son and I enjoyed it . We had fun and the cost was a lot more affordable than NHL games so as a single mom we can go more. Thanks
