First, I was surprised that Houndmouth, at the peak of their career, performed at a relatively small venue in Portland, ME. Next. the ticket price was, to say the least, a terrific value. Houndmouth themselves was equally impressed at the fan reception on a Monday night, in a very small market. The performance was spot on. The sound was clear, especially for the vocals. And one thing that Houndmouth is famous for is their amazing harmonizing. This group has heavy influences from groups such as The Band, Grateful Dead and Little Feat. Yea, that good. This is a must-see show. They will be performing in large venues for much higher prices soon. I purchased their newest CD, and can't stop playing it. But the live performance had a high energy level which can't be matched in a studio. Hint: How about a concert DVD?
