Got tix for half price, and because we arrived early, ended up sitting in the front row. This show still would have been awesome at full price, and much further back. The venue was nice. The food and drinks weren't cheap, but not as expensive as we had anticipated. The parking was convenient (rare for a city venue). We weren't sure what to expect from Bobcat at this point in his career, but he was just hilarious. I want to be his friend.
Loved the show! Very well performed, the singing was great and the show was very funny.
This is a romp through the music of the 50s, 60s, and 70s--rock and roll, R&B--by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. Great fun, with a high energy, enthusiastic cast working in a small space to put on a terrific show. The audience on Saturday night was totally into it!
Great songs from the 60's and 70's performed in a seamless fashion with wonderful dance routines and great voices. Get your tickets early. It will be sold out.
If you'd like to spend two hours smiling and laughing, I highly recommend this musical.
I normally don't travel north of North Avenue and I would again and again for this cabaret. It was wonderful and very entertaining. Love the music and the musicians as well. The singers were amazing.. They could play Broadway.
We laughed, we cried, we got wet! You gotta' see it!
Given all the hype surrounding this play, I was expecting to see an extremely thought provoking production. I was excited at the prospect of two incredibly insightful men going toe to toe on such important matters. Unfortunately, I was rather disappointed with the level of exchange between the actors in this fictional account of their possible meeting. I actually heard a few audience members snoring at different times.
