Went to take my 3 year old son and his uncle and aunt and my mom and grandma and I and we didn’t enjoy it. My son only enjoyed it for like the first hour may be. Won’t be taking him again a lot of money was wasted.
I had always wanted to take my son to one of these events but we always had something to do or the timing of the event didn't fit my schedule but this year everything fell into place for us to go and boy am I glad that we did. We both had a ball and our favorite part of the event was the three young men who did the stunts on the motorbikes. Those guys were amazing! Hotwheels you guys did your thing this weekend.
We brought our son (6 yrs old) + daughter (3 yrs old) and they BOTH loved the Monster Truck Competition! Thank you for your creativity and intentionality in creating not only each category of competition but in engagement with the crowd via the lively hosts! We enjoyed our time and would definitely do this again.
The kids were bored. Too much talking and not enough action. For a family of 4 it’s an expensive event. Also people should be able to bring in their own water.
You guys need knew chairs for setting the ones you have are very small and old and more space for people to get through everything is so damn tight!
The show was kind of boring. I don’t believe it’s worth the money
Hot wheels chant at the event was go big or go home. We should have stayed home and so should have the hot wheels show. Even our 5 and 6 year old were disappointed. They arena is to small and the trucks cannot put on a show. The motocross jumpers was the highlight of the monster truck show!
This is our 2nd monster truck show. First was at the football stadium and it was great…you could actually see what the trucks could do. Gila was just too small of an arena. The most exciting thing they did was donuts and the motorbikes. We all enjoyed the family outing, but keep the monster truck shows at the stadium!
Amazing, incredible, entertaining family fun. They did a great job with the hosts getting the fans involved and the truck competition categories gave us lots to see, plus with the transforming car eating machine and freestyle motorcross event made it unforgettably the funnest monster truck show we’ve seen. The smashing of the cars brought me back to days when I was a kid, wished we could have seen a backflip or other truck trucks in the freestyle category but it was an unforgettable time.
The action, when it happened, was great. There was way too much time wasted by the two host talking, asking people questions, etc. It was awkward and kids do not enjoy that nor is that what they went to this event to experience. There was more pointless talking than monster truck tricks or fun. If this was cut out, the event probably would have been a whole 30 minutes but was over 2 hours which is way too much for kids to sit and listen to adults talk. It was anticlimatic. Also, pretty sad that after you pay so much for an event you also have to pay an arm and leg for parking, a bottle of water was $8, and a toddlers tshirt was over $30. I would not take my family back honestly.
It was a fun exciting night from the host who i absolutely loved her energy to the motor bike stunts and of course we cant forget the monter trucks was super fun kids screaming facea filled with excitement will be doing it again next time closer seats
This was our 1st time ever going to go see monster trucks and it did not disappoint. I have girls and I wasn’t too sure if they would enjoy it, and they loved it!!!! We will definitely be coming back to see them when ever they come back. My youngest enjoyed the BMX portion of the show. It was all pretty cool.
My children and I loved the Hot Wheels monster trucks especially the FMX stunts and tricks
If you've been to Monster Jam, or want to see a real monster truck show, go to Monster Jam, which is awesome. This show pales in comparison, and is quite boring and lame. It's like Disneyland vs Chuck E Cheese. If you want to give your young child ages 2-5 an intro to monster truck shows without as much distraction and noise, this would work, but it's very expensive to do that. Monster Jam is very exciting, it has trucks flying through the air, doing summersaults, and doughnuts where the trucks rock and go airborne. This Hot Wheels show was very boring and slow. It has a few cars laid out, and the monster trucks drive over them one by one. That's it! They get no speed and no air, there simply isn't room for them. Their doughnuts were one to two spins around. There was nothing else - no tricks, flips, or speed. The majority of the show is the MC who is a like a toddler talk show host trying to entertain the fans. The trucks simply don't do anything. There was a lot of waiting around, too, each time a truck got stuck or needed assistance. Both my kids (12 and 16) thought the show was lame and wanted to leave, but we stayed to the end to see if it would get better. It didn't. If you go, at least stay for the motorcycles at half time, they were awesome! This was a very expensive show for literally nothing. Nothing happened. I feel ripped off.
5 star for entertainment. My kids really enjoyed the show! Will definitely be attending again if they come back in town. 1 star for the seating. I purchased wheelchair access seating & come to find out we couldn’t sit their because the camera man was in our area so they sat us at a different location. NOT COOL!!!!
Parking was terrible. There was one entrance in to the parking I prepaid for, and one giant line to get in. Once in there were three attendants assisting and the lines moved sooo slow. There was no clear signage indicating where to get in. Once inside we found our section and row no issues, but if the seats are being occupied it’s really hard to know without asking what seat number section is what. My kid enjoyed the show because he loves monster trucks but it was a really small area for them to perform. Don’t think we’ll ever attend a monster truck show at the arena again, a show with trucks that large should be held in a bigger area/stadium.
This was an exciting adventure! Very well put together! Very high energy. Very thrilled i went! Cant wait till next time!
Trucks were cool to look at and drivers were cool but, that’s about it- the hosts were corny(they tried their best) - not very many tricks or much of a show given with the actual monster trucks. There was a lot of “dead” time between trucks doing anything - they were parked 95% of the time so it wasn’t a LIVEly show …the motor cross action was waaaaaay more entertaining and fun to be honest. Music and lights show throughout would’ve been nice to keep the atmosphere in line with it being an actual show. Wish I could get some of my money back. For the price we paid (3adults 1child), the entertainment value expectation was not met.
I've taken my kids to monster jam before in a huge arena and it was amazing. The hot wheels event was so small the trucks didn't have enough room to move around, literally! It was a constant chess match for them to move. This was the worst event I've been to ever in Glendale AZ! The fire breathing transformer was a joke. The best part was the three guys doing freestyle motocross tricks. I will never go to another hotwheels event! The trucks were so limited in what they could do because of space. The promoters should be ashamed.
We really enjoyed the monster truck show. We were a bit surprised thinking the trucks would be on dirt but even the show they put on on the concrete floor was a good one. We were really surprised to see the BMX show with the guys jumping off the ramps and then the motorcycle show too with the tricks off of the ramp and landing on the large air filled landing ramp. All around it was a great show and well worth what we paid for our tickets. The trucks were great, the BMX bikes were great and the motorcycles were great too!
