    I love Brandi Carlile

by commishbaker on 4/29/18Riverfront Park - North Charleston

Had a great time and High Water better thank the weather gods. One day later and we all would have drowned. S&R, Old 97's, The band of Horses and Jason Isbell were sensational. Actually, all the bands were fun.

    Wonderful Venue!

by MuffinHA on 4/28/18Riverfront Park - North Charleston

The festival was great! Lots of choices for food/drinks and lines moved quickly. Very well organized and buses from parking lots ran about every 10 min. Will definitely return:)

    Seating

by Shilw on 4/26/18Riverfront Park - North Charleston

I’m older and love to go to festivals but I have a hard time sitting on the ground for long periods. It would have been nicer if chairs were allowed.

    Blankets are my enemy.

by MusicFanDisappointed on 4/26/18Riverfront Park - North Charleston

It was an amazing event. The bands were stellar and the food and drinks and location and everything was perfect. But honestly, I don’t think I want to come back if people are allowed to lay out huge blankets close to the stages. Sure, put farther back, maybe past a 100 meters or so. But after spending so much on VIP this year and GA last year I just can’t stand the entitlement of people who take up way more than their body size up so close. I don’t believe a blanket or an inflated couch thing entitles you to keep that space all day. I couldn’t get close to Shakey Graves in GA because a sea of blankets that people were protective of, taking up huge swaths of space, while they sat there on their phones waiting for a later band. One lady was laying down reading her e-book for the entire set on a blanket six times her size. And in the VIP area my friend and I got yelled at by a couple during Jason Isbell because we dared get in front of them on their “reserved” spot because they later down a six by six foot blanket and stood at the very back of it leaving easily three or four feet to the next people in front of them. It’s infuriating. The first hundred or so feet should be regular GA music event rules. This isn’t wine in the park. I spent the money and flew to SC to see my favorite bands. It’s so rude and entitled and it makes the event stressful. Please institute a no-blanket policy for the first couple hundred feet from the stage at least. No one should be get to lay a big blanket down in the morning and consider that their living room all day and evening and yell at people who want to get close to the music. It’s a magical event. Please protect that for the music lovers.

    Highwater Festival Was GREAT!!

by visualgirl on 4/25/18Riverfront Park - North Charleston

The HighWater Fest was a fabulous time. The venue was really nice and the production was solid. You must be ok with walking. A lot of walking. From parking to VIP was far. The two stages were separated by a long wall that topped a big rise, so there was no quick way to get from the VIP area at the far side of the Stono stage to the Edisto stage on the other side without walking all the way across the field to the path and then around. I ate and drank a lot during the four days we were in Charleston and didn't gain any weight because of all the walking! We had so much fun here between the fabulous music, the pleasant location, the delicious food, terrific drink selections, and the nice people of Charleston. GA was very crowded, so we were happy to have the VIP experience, although the stage viewing area still got very crowded for the bigger acts. FUN! FUN! FUN!

    Great music not great planning

by Deniselmu on 4/25/18Riverfront Park - North Charleston

This could be an amazing fest. The music and location are unbeatable. The bathroom lines and lines for food were very long. Bathrooms were super maxed out and yucky too.

    Highwater Festival North Charleston, SC

by DJHay on 4/25/18Riverfront Park - North Charleston

I’m 62 and have attended too many concerts and festivals to count over the years. I have never been to a better organized event than this one. The fact that this was only the second year of the festival makes it even more impressive.
