About

Heart formed in Seattle, Washington in 1973 and have rocked on through the years under the sibling core of Ann and Nancy Wilson. The group has released 16 studio albums, hitting the Top 10 seven times and topping the Billboard 200 with 1985’s Heart. The band have sold nearly 35 million albums worldwide. Early rock staples such as “Crazy on You,” "Barracuda” and “Magic Man” gave way to greater mainstream success in the ’80s with the group’s first Hot 100 chart-toppers, "These Dreams" in 1986 and "Alone” in 1987. Despite developing their own solo careers after their first hiatus in 1995, the Wilson sisters have reunited as Heart several times. In 2013, Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band have received four career Grammy nominations and received The Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.

  • LOVED, LOVED, LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT@

by lbmom on 7/5/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

As a lifelong Heart fan, I've only had the pleasure of seeing them in concert once before when I was about 16 years old.... many moons ago... they still rock like they're 20 years old!!!!! Nancy is AWESOME on the guitar, and my goodness, if I could bottle Ann's voice and sell it, I'd be a self-made millionaire. They are truly true musicians and know how to put on a great concert. And they surround themselves with excellent musicians. LOVE YOU NANCY AND ANN!!!! SIde note... Nancy - you inspired me to pick up the guitar again at age 40! Haven't played since I was about 13 yrs old but it's all coming back and I'm enjoying it much more this time around.

  • what a dissapointment!

Went to the Cheap Trick/Heart/Journey concert last year, excited to hear my fave tunes by Heart and was let down by them coming out on stage to say they weren't playing. After that I was excited to see they were coming back to play by themselves. Thought for sure this would be the show I was waiting for last year. Nope! I think they went on around 9:45, maybe even 10. Played maybe 15 songs...and that is being generous. We were back in the car, out of the parking lot, stopped at the gas station and a good way down 75 at 11:15. What a joke! Glad I bought the tix on the day of the special $7 lawn tix. Almost spent $110 for two pavillion seats. I would have been pretty ticked. After the show I stopped at Meijer to get some party favors and just happened to pass by the CD's. What was right on the end but a cheap copy of Heart's Greatest Hits, so for laughs I picked it up to see what songs were on there. Out of the 10-15 songs on this so called "greatest hits" I think 3 of them were played at the show. Cmon, Heart. I know you can do better than that. I would go so far as to say that if there had been another act after them like the Journey concert last year that they probably would have punked out again. And I am really a fan, but this was BS!

Worth the wait, concert started a bit late, but Ann hasn't lost it a bit, her voice is still as powerfull as ever and Nancy was incredible on her guitar and vocals. would definately see them again.

by Laurakat on 7/2/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

Wow! What a show! I love Heart been a fan forever and finally got to see them at DTE Energy Center. Ann Wilson's voice is incredible as always! Nancy was playing guitar during a song, broke a string and exchanged for a new guitar without missing a note!!!! The rest of the band rocked as well!

  • In a word: Excellent

by Dokkendave on 7/2/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

Great show! The song selection included my favorites (including Never, These Dreams, Back to Avalon). I definitely got my money's worth and then some. Ann and Nancy both sounded absolutely amazing. They were incredible and the audience was so into it. The band was great and rocked the place. I was very pleased with this show and enjoyed it even moreso than when I saw them about 5 years ago.

  • Wilson Sisters Still Rock

by JohnnyRotten on 7/2/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 4 out of 5

The Heart show was a solid performance by 2 classic "chick rockers" and their accompanying band. Ann Wilson's pipes are as strong as ever and she can still belt out some serious notes. Nancy's guitar work was solid as well and her use of the dobro was a unique twist to her traditional hard rock guitar playing. Would have liked to see them play a couple extra songs to make up for their skipping out on us last year when they came here, but the couple of Zeppelin tunes was a nice touch. Overall, it was an enjoyable show that I'm glad I attended.

  • Heart still's got it

by Heartfan on 7/2/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 4 out of 5

When a group's been around for decades and can still Kick It Out it's Magic, Man. I would Never miss a chance to see this classic rock group. I would even see them Alone. Seriously, you have to love it when they open with Barracuda!!! Ann still has those amazing pipes and Nancy rocks. They mentioned working on new music and I look forward to seeing them again.

  • Those pipes!

by 80flashback on 7/2/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

Ann Wilson's voice has only gotten stronger over the years. WOW! She's got some amazing pipes! Heart rocked old favorites & introduced a new song. Rocking versions of Led Zepplin and The Who make me wistful for good ole' rockin concerts. Heart is still going strong and should be checked out!

  • showing their age

by ertaiwizard1 on 7/2/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 3 out of 5

show was pretty good. they massacred immigrant song from led zeppelin and ann's voice is starting to show signs of wear, but the band was tight. Nancy proved why she is one of the best female guitar players in the world. heart played all of their hits and even though the concert was loud it was not distorted. good sound quality.

  • Heart's still got it!!

by specrocz on 7/2/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 4 out of 5

This was our first concert in years, and we weren't dissapointed! The band had plenty of energy for the rockin crowd that braved cool damp conditions most of the evening. The Wilson Girls haven't lost a step and really, really impressed me with their immeasurable skills. This is a "Hall of Fame" act, but definetly still very current!

  • Heart

by sassy on 7/1/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 4 out of 5

I was very impressed on the performance of the band Heart. The girl Anne can still sing amazing. The only thing I was disappointed in is I didn't hear my favorite song that my friend and I used to hear on the radio and blast it so loud we couldn't hear ourselves singing because it would not have been pretty. We both was at the concert and that song brings back so many good memories. I hope in the future shows that they would consider playing " All I Wanna Do". I did hear from others there at the concert that Heart has not played that song in 4 years.

  • 100% "Heart" and Soul!!

by Moonlightnshadow on 7/1/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

DTE 6-30-09 I have had the privildge of seeing Heart many times in the last 30 years, and never do I tire of Ann's amazing vocals, or Nancy's never failing ass kicking guitar. I enjoy the new spins on old favorits, the covers, and look forward to new material. You can see they have always put 100% into their work, and it shows! I am so glad that they are still "Rockin On"..............

  • We were warmed by Heart on a cold, cold night!

by Kelly on 7/1/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 4 out of 5

We were very stoked to see Heart on Tuesday evening @ DTE. Michael Grimm was a pleasant surprise. We loved the Wilson sisters and the band was spot on. Ann of course sounded awesome & I expected her to. She always sounds great, Nancy broke a string on her guitar which I noticed right away but she was still strummin' away. The only bummer for me was no..."Tell It Like It Is", "Even It Up", "Dog & Butterfly" and "Dreamboat Annie". But we can't have everything & I wasn't asked to consult on the playlist! :-) I would always skip the 80's & go for the 70"s Heart but I am 43. I hope they change the playlist somewhat as I am seeing them @ the end of August @ Van Andel Arena.

  • Heart Rocks!

Anne belts out the hits and Nancy rocks the house with her fabulous guitar. Awesome concert!!!
