  • when a meltdown makes sense

by SteveT on 10/14/21Chevalier Theatre - MedfordRating: 5 out of 5

from the moment we arrived at the Chevalier Theatre to the minute Hasan left the stage, there was a sense this night was going to be different. vaccination cards were checked, masks were required...even between sips of our drinks, and our phones were ordered off and sequestered in pouches...what happens tonight, stays in this room tonight. except this: never in all my years of seeing a one person comedy show, have i seen a performer so passionate about not only making me laugh, but giving his ALL to try and move me to get my ass in gear to DO SOMETHING about the increasing mess we're creating for ourselves in this country. by show's end Minhaj was writhing, sweating, and screaming on the floor in both an effort to motivate me as well as simply running out of gas because he had only fumes remaining to get himself off stage. he beseached us to trust, while he locked up our phones. and he opened the show with hilarious Matteo Lane who threw us tantalizing softballs so he could nail us with one fastball on the corner after another. this show is going on the road after five nights in Medford. if you get the chance to see it, don't pass it up. you'll laugh, but it will also drive deep into your soul.

This show was everything! Hasan and Mateo Killed it. The jokes were hilarious, I was laughing the whole time. Can't wait for more of Hasan's shows. Thank you for an amazing time. :)

  • Great performance - 45 mins late to start

by KC on 10/13/21Chevalier Theatre - MedfordRating: 3 out of 5

The event was supposed to start at 7:30. Didn't even start until 8:15. Not sure if this is Chevalier thing or performer's thing! 2nd show of the day was supposed to start at 9:30 PM but the first show didn't even end until 9:45!

  • Good

by Sam on 10/13/21Chevalier Theatre - MedfordRating: 5 out of 5

Funny, original. Theater could have been a little more organized. People kept walking in trying to find their seats 15-20 minutes after the show started and blocking view. It was annoying.

Nice venue with clear sight lines to stage. Hasan was a great performer.

  • Show was phenomenal

by Jeremy on 10/13/21Chevalier Theatre - MedfordRating: 5 out of 5

The venue I could tell struggled not sure if it was a staffing shortage issue but there was a line about a half mile long and it took forever to get inside. The show didn’t start until an hour later and some people probably still were in line. But Hasan delivered. Glad I went!

  • Amazing performance…awful seats

by Gethanga on 10/13/21Chevalier Theatre - MedfordRating: 3 out of 5

Hassan Minhaj put on an absolutely amazing performance!! He really brought a whole new level of creativity to this set. However the same can’t be said about our seats at the Chevalier theater. We were in the balcony and the seating configuration was so awful that most of the people there couldn’t see the stage. If you are going to the Chevalier, DO NOT sit in the balcony. Its absolutely awful.

  • Amazing

An absolute masterpiece. I didn’t feel like I was watching a stand-up show but rather an exquisite production. I would highly recommend this show to others.

  • Hilarious

by Shan on 10/12/21Chevalier Theatre - MedfordRating: 5 out of 5

The venue itself sucked! It was like a high school auditorium. The seats were uncomfortable and it had an awful smell. As far as the performance Hasan put on an amazing show! Even the opening acts were hilarious, if you are on the fence about going do yourself a favor and do it!

  • Laughs and awwws and thoughts

    by Kristen H on 10/12/21Chevalier Theatre - MedfordRating: 5 out of 5

A great ride through what happened to Minhaj when he skyrocketed to fame, including how it affected his family, work, and sense of self. Incredibly engaging with great openers - don't miss!

  • Amazing mix of satire and sincerity...the best of Hasan yet

by TheBrownGuyfromBelmont on 10/12/21Chevalier Theatre - MedfordRating: 5 out of 5

After Homecoming King I didn't think Hasan could top himself...that show gave a voice to a diaspora that was long overdue. The King's Jester picks up from where Homecoming left off but brings a more personal, more mature side with the same high quality comedy. Loved every second of it.

  • Great show!

    by Bosgirl12 on 10/12/21Chevalier Theatre - MedfordRating: 5 out of 5

Hasan was awesome. 90 mins of pure entertainment and fun. A few parts a bit raunchy for the teenagers but nothing too far out of left field. He was pretty high energy even though he had two shows that night. And the opening acts (Ismail and Matteo) were fantastic! Great time, great night.

Super show. Hasan Minhaj is a master of satire with a superb timing. He also makes you think. One of my favorite performers. Looking forward to the next one.

  • second time's the charm

by Ks on 10/12/21Chevalier Theatre - MedfordRating: 5 out of 5

This is my second time seeing Hasan live and I loved it!!!! I’ve been a fan since his daily show days, and I’m so proud to see how far he has come. It was a great show, the openers were funny. Definitely 10/10, if he’s in your area please do yourself a favor and go see him, you won’t be disappointed!

  • Was still in line when his set started

    by #SlapHasansDaughter on 10/12/21Chevalier Theatre - MedfordRating: 1 out of 5

was early for the 10pm show, but the line to get in took over an hour and a half. And when we finally got to our seats the show had already started seems Hasan didn't want to wait for the paying audience to get in, he must have had other places to go spent more time waiting to get in then the end of the show we finally got to see

  • An hour late

by Willoughby on 10/11/21Chevalier Theatre - MedfordRating: 4 out of 5

The show itself was brilliant. Everyone loved Hasan Minaj. But starting a show billed for 10pm at 11pm wasn't cool. Very unfair!

  • Show started extremely late

by Kevin on 10/11/21Chevalier Theatre - MedfordRating: 3 out of 5

Tickets said 10pm and to show up early for check-in. They didn’t start letting people in till 1030. Show was great but please update your tickets or send text if show is running that late.
