In the debut episode, Hasan spoke with Senator Elizabeth Warren, and he's also welcomed John M. Chu, JJ Redick, Bernie Sanders, and Stacey Abrams, among many others.
He will next star in Disney's TRON: ARES that will be released theatrically in October 2025. 2021 has been had we can all agree and was so excited to laugh. Unfortunately (and with all respect to the Paramount & Hasan) our show that was scheduled to start at 9:30 with doors opening at 9p didn’t go as planned. The line at 8:30p was 4 city blocks long plus a additional line crush of 6 people wide one city block back and at 10p we had to call it quits. I’m sure the show was epic and will def try again in the future but was not able to attend due to the lateness and overwhelming amount of people and lack of order.
First off the show itself was great, however the doors didn’t even open up until an hour after it’s scheduled start time, the show was supposed to start at 9:30pm but didn’t start until after 11:00pm, it was highly disorganized and we were just lucky that it had stopped pissing down rain while we were all in line or everyone would have been completely soaked, I myself wouldn’t have waited if it had been raining like it was earlier in the night, I give the show 5 stars and the organization of the event a 1 star, we ended up leaving early just so we wouldn’t get stuck trying to get out of there waiting for our phones to be unlocked from the security devise we put them into, the show starting so late really put a damper on the rest of the evening plans and I wouldn’t recommend going to the late show there again, if you can’t make the first show expect delays on the second one.
Firstly, the show started 2 hours late! So if you have kids or baby sitter at home, you may have left without even watching the show. Don't worry, there was no apology from anyone about that. We love the Homecoming on Netflix - but sadly this was not that good. The show was opened by Nimesh Patel for 20 mins. He was really bad and disappointing. And when you've waiting 2 hours for the show to start, and it finally starts at 11pm, this is not what you're looking for. Hasan's set itself was mix. There was some really good content and jokes. And some not-so-much. There was a lot of swearing from Nimesh and some R rated from Hasan, which I didn't expect having watched Homecoming and Patriot Act. Honestly, I don't find swearing or using sex to sound funny - those are crutches for lesser comedians. Overall, I'd say the show was ok. Would I watch Hasan Minhaj again? Maybe. Would I stand in line for 2 hours to see him? Def no!
took a trip to seattle for my boyfriends birthday as a surprise and Hasan did NOT disappoint. the show was amazing. everyone had a mask on so the theatre did a great job on keeping everyone safe. even though we had to lock our phones, we weren’t even worried about it because the show was that good.
Loved the show and the story line! Hasan was brilliant
Hasan Minhaj was fantastic. 5 stars for hearing Hasan on stage. 1 star for the theater. The sound at the Paramount was terrible. The music playing before the event was not music. All I could hear was the bass. I had a headache before the show started. The music was too loud and just wrong for the space. Hasan Minhaj also had a hard time with the mic situation. The sound was not crisp and clear as it should have been. I'm not sure if the speaker systems are outdated or the sound crew just sucked. I would never come to the Paramount for any musical performance. I would go see Hasan Minhaj again but at another location.
He was great, but there was a lot of distractions. His mic was making a hissing noice and it seemed like it took to long to get it fixed, others had to come on stage 3 times before it was resolved, and even then it still seemed like it wasnt crystal clear. They were recording and tge camera person would come on stage and stand right in front of him, it really disrupted the story. The show started way after it was supposed to.
I'm really sorry to say this but the sound was horrible. I was right up front and could not understand Hasan throughout the show because of the feedback. Everyone around me felt the same. We love Hasan so "oh well". I guess. e we could see him at another time.
He is great! The seats were not comfortable though! The only reason we could bear sitting the whole time was his exceptional talent and mastery!
It was an absolute blast and made me laugh more than I have in a long time. Appreciate his humor, and his delivery is perfect.
Hasan delivered a master class in an engaging and entertaining monologue discussing and weaving life and current topics, politics and philosophy while entertaining and inspiring. He has an amazing ability to tell stories, relate to people while managing to share his experiences and thoughts as a man, a Muslim, an American of Indian descent and a patriot. Highly recommend seeing him live.
Even at his level, Hasan is underrated.. He's humble, hilarious, and incredibly authentic. I've enjoyed his programs on stream before, but his live show was awesome! He has a ton of heart and was all in for his performance; best among the other top name comedians I've seen at the Morrison Center or elsewhere.
Hasan rocks at classic storytelling but with a very comedic twist. Hasan doesn’t just get up and fire off 47 jokes per minute. He unpacks his experiences and humor is weaved throughout. I like how there’s a counterbalancing seriousness and stuff to think about as well. It’s a really unique sort of experience and he executes it so well.
Took my wife to the Music Park at Fair Park to see Hasan Minhaj. The show started late but once it began it was a lot of fun. Hasan is an excellent story teller. He spoke about the pandemic, parent's expectations, his career, and his family. He truly has a gift for giving the audience a real look into his life and everything that transpired prior to the pandemic and everything since. His stories had a wide range of emotions from laughter, fear, sadness, and love. I would recommend anyone who is a fan to watch him live. He is so good and I am so thankful I had a chance to see him and forget about life and just have fun.
It could have been a great show because I love Hasan but his mic volume was so loud it was eardrum-blasting. Unfortunately, we had to leave early because of that. Hopefully his audio team doesn’t let that happen again.
One of the most wonderful experiences I’ve had in a very long tine; it felt so nice to listen to all of the sometimes intimate stories and hilarious jokes that Hasan spoke. It’s wonderful seeing representation on this level; being able to relate as well. 10/10 next time Hasan is in Dallas I will definitely be going to his shows.
This was a logistics nightmare. How can you schedule two events back to back and start the first show late. Traffic was horrible because people were leaving and getting there at the same time. I waited an hour and a half in line (in the freezing cold) before leaving home. I felt like I was at Astroworld 2.0!
show was great! Did have to wait in line for an hour so show was delayed until 10:30 instead of 9:30 but I love Hasan so I personally didn’t mind:)
Loved the show! We love Hasan Minhaj - and would 100% recommend people going to see his show!! My only frustration came from the long wait time to enter the show. We arrived on time anticipating the show to begin at 9:30, but of course it was delayed for over an hour. We waited patiently. The line turned to chaos with everyone grouped together. Would definitely recommend some sort of organized way to keep everyone in line. We were even reassured that the show would not start until everyone had a chance to enter - this unfortunately was not the case. The show began before we had a chance to enter building. By the time we entered the opening act was at the end their part. We were not able to get to our seats until after Hasan began. We understand that it was getting late and the show needed to begin, but we as true fans, we waited to enter and expected to have the full experience.
