Loved every minute of it!!!! I can’t wait to see his show again
Very funny, loved the phone pouches. Hasan is a fantastic storyteller
First of all, I have no negative things to say about Hassan’s show. It was great! I especially enjoyed his use of pictures and videos to aid his act. Aside from the show itself, the process of getting inside the Orpheum theater was a disaster. I arrived 20 minutes early, and expected to be in with more than enough time to sit down by 7 (when the show was scheduled to begin), but the line was enormous. There needs to be a better process for checking vaccination status and putting the phones into the special pouches. Especially in the wisconsin cold, waiting in the line was not great. Luckily the show was delayed to allow everyone to be seated, but this experience in the line was awful.
It was nice, the show started before everyone got seated. Honestly, for being so renowned for his humor it really wasn’t that funny. Had to force myself to laugh a lot.
Hasan did not disappoint! His show was fast paced, brilliant in his observations and all tied neatly together to the end of the show. he was very forthcoming about personal experiences that made him even more likable. I would try to never miss a show if he comes back to the midwest. I have missed his show "the patriot Act". Looking forward to his new show on Netflix.
Hasan delivered. The production quality was fantastic and he didn’t miss a single beat. You can tell that a lot has gone into the show and that it was well thought out and executed. Cannot recommend enough
I had a teenager in the audience who does well with patriot act and filters content pretty well However, the pre-show content was not appropriate for teens; the gay/bisexual individual had adult content that upset me as a parent.
I could tell that Hasan didn't know what to expect showing up to the middle of Iowa on a Wednesday night, but by the end of the show we could tell he was really enjoying his time with the audience. His skill and jokes were amazing and I left the show feeling like we got more than our money's worth (and a bit of a headache from laughing so much for so long). We also really enjoyed the venue and his opening acts (Anthony Lopez & Omar {I didn't catch his last name}). If you get the chance, you really need to catch his show. It's a great blend of comedy, sincerity, & commentary.
Hasan Minhaj is a genius with amazing storytelling and charismatic ability to keep the audience engaged. It was 100 minutes of sheer joy. 100% recommended!! Andr The event was immaculately curated. Everything was very systematic. Everyone who were involved in bringing Hasan Minhaj to Ames, thank you!
Truely an amazing comedian and his story telling ability is unparalleled. I couldn’t stop laughing
He’s a brilliant storyteller with such stage presence.
I loved seeing Hasan Minhaj. He was both hilarious and passionate. He engaged with the audience numerous times throughout the show and had a colorful background that occasionally included photos of his family and other funny clips. I would definitely recommend seeing Hasan Minhaj, especially if you like his Netflix show, The Patriot Act.
Great show. Awesome opening acts. Great storytelling from Hasan. Really hits hard if you’re a fan a of his Netflix show. Love the incorporation of visuals!
hilarious and heartwarming in classic minhaj style
Hasan Minhaj has mastered the art of story telling and using real life as inspiration for his comedy. He challenges you to think critically while providing entertainment and blending the lines between sincerity and satire.
Great show, despite the disruption. Putting phones in pouches did not guarantee that all phones had been shut off. I heard a phone go off several times behind me. Putting in pouches then releasing them created unnecessary bottlenecks.
He is really in touch with this generation, past generation and the future generation, you really get humbled, get sad, laugh, get happy all in one show, much respect for this man and everything he brings to light what is wrong with the world around us.
I am so glad I was able to experience Hasan's truly masterful down-to-earth comedy. My whole group was thoroughly entertained for the evening and would certainly look forward to another tour if it comes to town.
Venturing out after 2 years of no live shows my friends and I were beyond happy with the whole experience. We felt safe and enjoyed the artist immensely!! We love Hasan anyway and now even more. Getting into the theater and out was pleasantly easy too . Hasan keep doing what you do! We need you.
Event started late. I did like that phones were locked up, however CLOCKS were few and far between in the venue, so it was very hard to determine if I had time to get refreshments, visit the restroom, etc. The ASL interpreter was wonderful, but the Hard of Hearing community (about one in five people have an undiagnosed hearing loss, and a VERY small percentage of deaf people actually are fluent in ASL), having a live captioner present would help. Hasan talked so fast occasionally that he was hard to understand.
