As an immigrant myself I could relate to many of the jokes. The whole experience was amazing. The sarcastic/funny way of exposing reality he has is beyond intelligent and creative!
It was so nice to see him in a small intimate theatre. I felt he connected with the crowd well. Too, it was wonderful to see such an ethnic and age diversity all enjoying Mr. Minhaj's take on the world we share. I think we all expected laughter, but probably what will stick with me most were the points in his performance where it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. That's a wonderful dynamic range in my opinion. The Bijou was the perfect setting. Glad Mr. Minhaj made a stop in Knoxville, it was enjoyed an appreciated.
Had a great night at the show would recommend 10 out of 10
We really enjoyed Hassan’s comedy show. He is bright and gifted in weaving together everyday life experiences with world experiences and politics and allows us to release our anxiety through laughter.
Hasan is both hilarious and smart. I laughed out loud more than I have at any comedy show I’ve been to.
So much better than what I came in expecting. I’ve always been a Hasan fan but the King’s Jester exceeded every expectation. 10/10
Hasan is definitely a must seen show! His story telling is a next level event you don’t want to miss. He will always put you in a good mood. I can’t wait to see his next tour.
Hasan Minhaj was hilarious. I never travel this deep into Connecticut. Usually if the show isn’t in Bridgeport, Hartford, or New Haven I just don’t go. This was well worth the trip. I loved how he took us a bit into his life and created jokes about everyday things. The lawyer in me loved when he brought up legal issues and created a joke. It was a great journey.
Show was unimpressive with lots of bragging and cheap gestures. There was no class and i did not enjoy it all. Probably. My last live show of Hasan
Too much bts from patriot act, heterosexual parent material
Hasan Minaj was amazing!!!! His comedic timing, jokes, energy were LIFE!
Hasan was engaging and hilarious and everything I’d hoped for! Great show, would 100% come see again. I’m sad it’s over.
Excellent performance. Not only funny, but also moving and meaningful. Only thing we didn't like was having our phones locked up. I don't blame performers for wanting to prevent phones ringing, pictures, recordings, etc., but we don't do any of those things, and we resent being inconvenienced because of the disrespect of others. Of course we wouldn't be using our phones during the performance, but we sat in our seats at least a half hour before the show started, and definitely would have been using our phones then, and the process of locked and unlocking the phones was cumbersome.
From the first moment he came onto the stage till the last part of the comedy act, I was laughing. His stories were such a rollercoaster of emotions, and if you have the chance to watch this spectacular performance you should take it.
Awesome comedian. Act was well thought out and presented. I enjoyed the journey through the entire show
Hasan's show was a perfect mix of serious and hilarious - he had me laughing uproariously then would hit me with some truth that touched me. I will see him any time he comes close enough.
Great story telling and had me laughing and smiling the whole time.
My friends and I loved the show. He's funny and a very good storyteller. However, I follow him closely and he really drops a lot of crumbs from his show on Late Night. I wish he would use something different so that when I see him live, most of the stuff is new.
This was one of the best shows I’ve been too. The openers were very funny. Hasan’s set was so smart and so funny but also made me think a lot. It was an excellent evening. It was my first time at a show where my phone was locked up. I wasn’t sure how it would work but it ran very smoothly.
