Hasan Minhaj is a two-time Peabody Award-Winning comedian best known for his breakout Netflix special HOMECOMING KING and his critically acclaimed, political satire show PATRIOT ACT WITH HASAN MINHAJ for Netflix which won a Peabody, an Emmy, and a Television Academy Honor. His second one-hour comedy special THE KING'S JESTER premiered on Netflix in 2022. In October 2024, Hasan released his third comedy special on Netflix, titled OFF WITH HIS HEAD. On Hasan's ongoing digital series and podcast, HASAN MINHAJ DOESN'T KNOW, he sits down with the biggest names in politics, culture, and tech with questions that are as thought provoking as they are absurd. In the debut episode, Hasan spoke with Senator Elizabeth Warren, and he's also welcomed John M. Chu, JJ Redick, Bernie Sanders, and Stacey Abrams, among many others.
He will next star in Disney's TRON: ARES that will be released theatrically in October 2025. Hasan is the co-founder and chief executive officer of 186K Films, which is currently in development on their first feature film. He is co-writing the script with Prashanth Venkataramanujam and will star in the film. Hasan was most recently seen in Sony's blockbuster film, IT ENDS WITH US as well as in NEON's comedy BABES, directed by Pamela Adlon, with Ilana Glazer and Michelle Buteau. He was a senior correspondent at Comedy Central's THE DAILY SHOW WITH JON STEWART and headlined the 2017 WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENTS' DINNER.
Very much enjoyed the performance. Great, show, great performer. Hassan has some great messages and makes you laugh through it all.
Everyone was super helpful and it was easy to find our seats. They locked up our phones, but I didn't mind. The opening acts were great too. My only complaint is the drinks were ridiculously overpriced
Hasan is more than a comedian, he's a storyteller with amazing range. I laughed, I cried, and was even compelled to hug my neighbor at one point in the show. While he jokes about his niche demographic being MD's and IT professionals, it is obvious he brings more to the stage than your average jester. He has a brain and he's not afraid to use it! While his show is rated 18+, he doesn't rely on cursing or vulgar language to carry his show, which is refreshing. He's like a comedic ninja that connects with his audience in a vulnerable way while also opening your eyes to important issues through his personal experiences. In addition, it is beautiful to see a man in the entertainment industry who loves his wife / family.
It’s official - Hassan is my favorite comic these days. I do open mic nights and like to watch the skills of a real pro
Absolutely the best comedy show I have ever watched Live or on tv
On the final instruction email for the show, about 4 screens scrolling down on cell phone screen, was the warning that all mobile phones would be placed in secure pouches to have a "phone-free, Apple watch-free experience." It didn't work. First problem, since the show was advertised as "cashless" many people (including myself) were planning on paying for drinks, memorabilia, etc with Apple pay. Without our phones or Apple watches, there was no way to pay for anything. Second, some people forgot to turn off their phones. So during the show Mr. Minhaj has to stop the entire show to find out who's phone was ringing. Because the phone was locked up in a sealed pouch, it continued to ring & ring & ring & ring... I understand the desire for a "phone free zone", but next time pls make it clear, in the first line of email that your phone will be taken away & plan accordingly. I can't imagine how much money the vendors lost because people had no access to money.
Ticketmaster left out critical data in the number of notices prior to the event, eg, parking (AT the venue, FOR a costly performance) burned for another $10, and no purse larger than 5x8 allowed in. Forced to bring my phone to present ticket, but then had to deal w/phone security (but this may have been specific to Hasan's interests vs venue). Almost left when alternate performers began the show; took 20 minutes of Hasan wooing me back (and the thought of throwing away near $100). Hasan delivered on performance! But all else problematic. I'll never do this again, even for Hasan. Sigh
Hasan delivered fun, humor, and pulled on the heartstrings throughout the night. So glad he came to Phoenix!! To critique the Federal Theater, getting into the venue was a mess and it caused the show to start late, so I hope in the future they do a better job of lining people up in clear lines. But Hasan was amazing!!
The waiting in line was not that fun. Overall the show was really good.
It was awesome show Very smooth check in and very easy even check out . Was awesome
I know Hasan’s work for many years, so I expected a version of his tv show, patriot act, just on stage. Wow, was I wrong! Without any spoilers, this is one of the best and most well-produced live comedy shows I have ever seen on stage! He goes from deep sincerity to crazy laughter in seconds and takes you over in a roller coaster of his life. A must watch show.
It was hilarious! The opening acts too! Something I definitely needed to watch and so happy I did!
Hasan is a down to earth comedian. He tells his story through passion and sincerity.
Hasan is not only a great comedian, he is an amazing story teller. I thoroughly enjoyed the show, the opening acts were great!
The show was great! I just wish they had told us about the clear bag policy and cell phone policy ahead of time. As a parent with a child w life threatening allergies not having phone access is terrifying. If I had a plan on how to deal w it I would have been much more relaxed.
Was a pretty packed and clean venue. Although a little late to launch the show, mid-week and lots of us working folks were tardy! But, the show was FABULOUS! Worth the wait and would love to see him again live! I'd probably spend the cash and get better seats!
I was exhausted and contemplating just sleeping. HOWEVER I’m glad I went despite my body crashing because THIS SHOW WAS PERFECT. I laughed and laughed and felt feelings and laughed. Everyone with a good sense of humor should go see Hasan. He was himself and did not disappoint.
Wonderful narrative. Perfectly executed. Opening act by Leo Flowers was very good.
Hassan was brilliant. My son enjoyed the fact that it was clean and entertaining.
This was one of the best nights I’ve had in a while! Hassan was personable, intimate, political and hilarious!
