As me title says, I love Harry Potter. I watch the movies at least 8-10 times a year (1-8, 8-10 times). I read the books over and over at night before bed. I have season passes to Universal and am immersed in all things HP daily, monthly, yearly. But this show was not all that it was cracked up to be.
The seats at Landmark Theater were EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I’m not overly tall, 5’6”, and I was uncomfortable with my knees jammed into the seat in front of me. My 6’3” husband was in pain and had no where to put his legs.
The orchestra conductor encouraged people to cheer and boo characters they liked/didn’t like as they appeared on screen. Literally couldn’t go 3 minutes without the theater screaming or commenting on something. The screen quality was terrible and the sound was not great with feedback.
I will say, it was cool to see the orchestra play at first but it got old after the first few scenes. For the price of the tickets, it wasn’t worth it at all. As my husband said, we could have been home, comfortable on the couch and watching the movie. If you enjoy blurring out screams and random “I want to be a Weasley” during the show, maybe you should go.
