    Mixed feelings

by Kay on 4/22/24North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

The orchestra did an amazing job. My only complaint was that the crowd cheered and yelled with every character entering the scenes. There were times I was unable to hear the movie or the orchestra. Should they put on another performance like this, i would hope that i can hear the orchestra.

    Unique and fun experience

by Bri on 1/26/24Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

We absolutely loved it. Such a cool experience with the orchestra and Syracuse’s orchestra was amazing they were flawless. Our seats were great only downfall is we were sitting in back of a rude bunch (showed up 10 minutes after the movie started, making fun of potter fans, and getting up right as intermission ended to then comeback as the movie started again. Not sure why you would bother going to a Harry Potter movie experience if you aren’t going to enjoy it.). Overall it really was a great time and I don’t think there was a bad view anywhere. Loved seeing all the potter fans dressed up!!

    Fantastic

by Emmzie on 1/24/24Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

I guess I never realized how much music was in the movie until this event. The orchestra was absolutly phenomenal, they were so spot on i couldn't believe it was live and not the actual movie music. Glad to see so many children in attendance to. Simply stunning

    Beautiful experience

by Tia on 1/23/24Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

A beautiful show with talented musicians an unforgettable experience a definite must see the only thing I would change would be the venues have some sort of Harry Potter themed snacks bar and maybe Butterbeer would be the icing on the cake

Yes!!! When is the second movie showing

by Linda on 1/23/24Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

This was such a fun experience. The nostalgia of the movie with the seamless integration of the orchestra was perfection. The enthusiasm of the audience added an element of involvement too. Would definitely do it again.

    What a special treat!

by HP Fan on 1/23/24Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

The movie was, of course, good, but the Symphony was so amazing. The sound was 10 times better than in a movie theater for me. And the benefit of being able to watch the musicians play was wonderful. Great experience, can't wait until the next one.

Show was fantastic, orchestra superb, drunk couple sitting next to us spilling wine over everyone was obnoxious ruining the show. Left at intermission.

    Harry Potter Symphony: Sorcerer’s Stone

by SH on 1/22/24Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

My wife and I booked this show as a wedding gift to ourselves. What we experienced was screaming children AND adults during the entire show. Could not enjoy ourselves or the professional musicians. Buyer beware if you’re looking for an adult experience. Would not recommend this. The show had every bit of potential to be an amazing / nostalgic experience.

    Delightful experience!

    by elizabeth13215 on 1/22/24Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

What made this great was the audience--many people, both children and adults, wearing their house colors and raptly watching the movie. There were enthusiastic cheers when favorite characters appeared on screen, with delighted laughter at the light parts and held breath during the scary scenes. Pretty much everyone had already seen the movie, but seeing it with such a nice crowd and having the excellent Symphoria accompaniment made this an evening to remember. I'm hoping they'll do more of the Harry Potter movies here in Syracuse!

    Absolute Magic!

by Syracuse Fan on 1/22/24Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

This was one incredible way to become part of the wizarding world! The Landmark Theatre was the ideal setting. Symphoria was perfection with the music of John Williams. And Harry’s story came to life in an easy to watch, hear and understandable way. I sure look forward to the next installment!

    Disappointed

by Rm on 1/22/24Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

When the Landmark was remodeled, they should have upgraded the seats, way too crowded. The screen for the movie should have been bigger.

I love Harry Potter, but should have stayed home

by NH on 1/22/24Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

As me title says, I love Harry Potter. I watch the movies at least 8-10 times a year (1-8, 8-10 times). I read the books over and over at night before bed. I have season passes to Universal and am immersed in all things HP daily, monthly, yearly. But this show was not all that it was cracked up to be. The seats at Landmark Theater were EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I’m not overly tall, 5’6”, and I was uncomfortable with my knees jammed into the seat in front of me. My 6’3” husband was in pain and had no where to put his legs. The orchestra conductor encouraged people to cheer and boo characters they liked/didn’t like as they appeared on screen. Literally couldn’t go 3 minutes without the theater screaming or commenting on something. The screen quality was terrible and the sound was not great with feedback. I will say, it was cool to see the orchestra play at first but it got old after the first few scenes. For the price of the tickets, it wasn’t worth it at all. As my husband said, we could have been home, comfortable on the couch and watching the movie. If you enjoy blurring out screams and random “I want to be a Weasley” during the show, maybe you should go.

    We loved it!

by Gailstorm on 1/22/24Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

It was a great experience. We brought our daughter who plays violin and our grandsons who play percussion and trumpet and it was truly unique. Watching the orchestra play while watching the movie was so interesting. One comment though is considering a start time earlier than 8 PM. By the time we drove home it was after midnight.
