started too late for it's lenght

    by J. G. on 1/22/19Thalia Mara Hall - Jackson

I thought it was great, but felt start time was late considering 3 hour plus time for show. I took 3 kids 14,m 11 and 9 Whew.so if we should get to experience it again perhaps an earlier start time coul be considered

I enjoy the symphony but don't talk throughout

    by K. J. on 1/22/19Thalia Mara Hall - Jackson

I absolutely love going to the movie's that have a live orchestra. My complaint and horrible experience are due to audience members around me reciting every word of the Harry Potter movie. You could hear other individuals in the audience scream out words like "boo" at different moments during the performance. It seemed very unprofessional for any event with live orchestra. The music was absolutely fantastic though! I just with that the crowd understood proper theater etiquette.

    Fun, Shared Experience for Fans

by AJohn on 1/22/19Thalia Mara Hall - Jackson

For a fan who has read the books and seen the movies countless times, going to an event like this might seem somewhat redundant. However, it quickly became apparent that this would be a fun, shared experience for fans with people dressed up and cheering and booing at characters and moments in the film. The orchestra played the score perfectly, so much so that you often wonder if they are actually playing or if you are hearing the recorded soundtrack. I did notice some subtle differences between the live performance and the original movie score: pacing, cues, etc. These differences didn't detract from the experience (to be honest most people probably wouldn't notice) but reminded me that I was actually hearing the score live. It would have been cool if the theater we were in had surround speakers for a more immersive experience rather than all of the speakers at the stage.

Awesome show, but started too late

by William on 1/22/19Thalia Mara Hall - Jackson

We loved this show! The MS Symphony did an amazing g job. The only problem was that it started at 8, so it ended around 11.

    Harry Potter Forever

by APForever on 3/29/18Tucson Music Hall - Tucson

The Tucson Symphony provided a perfect performance to enhance and make the Harry Potter movie come alive. While having seen the movie several times, this performance brought forth several new feelings to the movie. Well done!

This show was such a surprise, loved the live music to the movie, and the encouragement to cheer the movie and the orchestra. Cant wait for the next show!

    Most Magical of Evenings!

by RavenclawRobin on 3/27/18Tucson Music Hall - Tucson

This was a wonderful experience! The orchestra was absolutely magical to see and hear right along with the movie. I can’t say enough good things about this event!❤️ The conductor was a joy to watch as he became immersed in the music. I highly recommend this to all ages of Harry Potter fans and those new to Harry and his friends.
