  • Asolutely wonderful!

by TwinsMomBham on 2/15/11Birmingham Children's Theatre at the BJCC - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time back to the BCT in 30+ years, and I enjoyed it as an adult as much as I did when I was a kid...and my twins did too! My twins loved it so much so that we saw the show twice, back to back, and we got season tickets! I was very impressed with the set in the Wee Folks Theatre, and amazed at how they transformed what seemed like a simple background into three different "places" in the story. I highly recommend this show, and I look forward to the next play!

  • Very cute, very funny, not scary

I took 3 six year old girls and they were apprehensive about the 'witch' and thought it would have a scary part. As it turns out, it wasn't very scary at all. Just very cute and well done!!

  • Opera even the 5 yr old enjoyed.

For those that did not get to see the performance, you did miss out on a very enjoyable opera. I am not a fan of opera, however these artists gave (imo) a fantastic performance. I did have a little trouble with a few segments or performers with higher parts, however I actually enjoyed the opera. My wife, 8yr old daughter and 5 yr old son were very entertained ( and at times riveted) by the storyline. The children want to know when we can go to the opera again. The Saina Symphony also is impressive. Not only was the music extremely enjoyable, but the musicians took time during the intermission to explain and compare instruments for my daughter. (THANK YOU very much for that.)
