“If Steven Wright, Mos Def and Dave Chappelle had a baby, that would be disgusting, but it would sound like Hannibal Buress. The funniest young comic I’ve seen in years.” – Chris Rock
Chicago-bred New York-based stand-up comedian Hannibal Buress established himself as a master of “comedic jokes related to personal stories, current events, the streets, and even food” (yes, someone actually wrote and published that line) in ANIMAL FURNACE, his COMEDY CENTRAL original one-hour stand-up special that premiered May 20.
Hannibal Buress has appeared on LETTERMAN, FALLON, KIMMEL, FERGUSON, CONAN and numerous other late night TV shows. He has also made prime time appearances on LOUIE and 30 ROCK, and is the co-host of the Adult Swim series THE ERIC ANDRE SHOW.
Buress has previously worked on the writing staffs of 30 ROCK and SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, and released his debut album, MY NAME IS HANNIBAL, in 2010 on Stand Up! Records.

Hannibal was hysterical. Would definitely see him again!
Opener Orlando Baxter was really funny and Hannibal was hysterical! Food & service was also very enjoyable.
Great show! Great music! Was not expecting music to be such a big part of his act. Great talent, great entertainer! ~WHOA!~ - Hannibal Buress
It was a great show! Hannibal kept us laughing from beginning to end.
My boyfriend and I had just seen Hannibal at Oddball Festival, where he put on a great 20 minute set. We were both a little anxious about seeing him again so soon after Oddball but he had a lot of new material we hadn't heard before. As always, he killed it! One of the best stand up shows I've ever seen!
Hannibal was hilarious. Food and drinks are expensive!
Hannibal was hilarious. Arrive early to increase your chances of getting a seat w/ a better view.
Couldn't hear 50% of what was coming out of Hannibal's mouth, although I don't doubt that he was awesome. That said, about 25% of what I heard was a repeat of his material from the Oddball comedy tour in Mountain View recently.
Hannibal is a beast!! Excellent show. He is a studied comic with a vast range of material
I was so excited to go to this show, and ready to laugh. We ended up at seats that were on the top section, far right of the stage, next to the drink station and swinging doors. We literally could not hear anyone; sounded muffled, too low, awful. Every few minutes we could catch the drift of a joke but overall, VERY disappointing. We told several staff people but no one has any authority to do anything so we ended up leaving early (as did the people next to us) and missed most of Hannibal. Part of it was the position of our seat, but the sound quality overall was not good, so everything was fuzzy and muddled. Needless to say, I will never sit there again and feel bad for anyone who gets that spot.
All three comics brought their A Game. Good food/service/drinks.
Great comedian, good food at the location but seating arrangements were not well organized in my opinion
We love Hannibal. He performed a long show so it felt worth the money. Laughs the whole time!
Hannibal was funny as to be expected, his opening act, Janelle James was really good. Well worth the ticket, I am not sure what all to say about a comedy show besides it was really funny.
The show started an hour later than the time said, but after it started, the laughter was on! The woman who opened for Hannibal was an absolute riot and her 15 minute bit was a perfect start to the show. Hannibal himself was probably one of the funniest comedians that I have seen in a long time, His show was non-stop laughter. I will definitely be seeing him again when he makes it to Indianapolis and I highly recommend it.
The venue was extremely hot ( I was actually sweating) but the two openers and Hannibal were fantastic. I would see any of them again. There was a bouncer who had a laugh that literally was just "HA! HAA!" That was a little distracting at time. It was unclear if he was trying to cue others to laugh, or if that's just how he laughed. It's also important for any performer to know their audience. Jokes about hip hop artists might fly over the heads of a predominantly flannel wearing group of hipsters. But I got it, and cracked up. Highly recommended!
He's definitely the most intelligent stand up act I've seen in a while. Hilarious and smart. Love the combo.
Great comedian. Saw him at Zanies last summer. Great delivery and unique style. Not too filthy either so I didn't leave the show feeling dirty for laughing : )
Hannibal should not be missed, I was not very familiar with his work, but he has such a unique comic voice, and of all the shows I saw at Laughfest his gave me probably the most uncontrollable laughing spells.
