  • Sound was really bad

by Will on 8/26/24Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 2 out of 5

I feel that I would have enjoyed the show a lot better if the sound wasn’t off. The vocals were drowned by the other instruments and it sounded distorted the whole night. Huge bummer!

  • Spac sound system upgrade not working

by Christina on 8/26/24Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 3 out of 5

Hank was great. Couldn’t hear the singing/microphone. Apparently SPAC updated their sound system this season and the quality inside left much to be desired. I wish I had known it sounded better on the lawn.

  • Hank did not disappoint!!

by Lynn on 8/26/24Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Hank has not lost his awesome musical abilities nor has his band members!! Great sound even from the lawn - I also enjoyed the single artist opening the show with acoustic guitar.

  • Better than expected

by Mel on 8/26/24Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 3 out of 5

I was never a fan, bought the tickets as a gift for husband. I loved the opening band and have added them to my playlist. I found Hank Jr was so much better than I expected. 3 stars because it was the shortest concert ever for that price.

  • Hanks mic was not turned up enough

by 1longboom on 8/26/24Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 2 out of 5

I was not impressed with the performance, and Hanks Mike was so low You could barely hear his singing and the lead guitars mic was overpowering

  • Terrible concert

by LLL on 8/26/24Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 1 out of 5

Very short concert for what we paid for. He only played for 1 hour 10 mins. Seemed drunk. Probably the worse concert we have ever been to.

  • Fantastic!

by Bianca on 8/26/24Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Had such a great time. Originally went for primarily Whiskey Myers who was opening, but Hank Williams Jr really stole the show for us! Both artists were incredible, but Hank Williams Jr was just so fun and we loved hearing his story telling between songs too. Such a great time. Thank you to both artists for a great time! :)

I honestly couldn’t think of a thing that could have gone better. Excellent job!

  • Sad to Leave This Review

Bocephus & Whiskey Meyers at SPAC. I’m a fan of both; I’ve followed Whiskey with since their Yellowstone debut, and grown up hearing Jr…. I’ve got about 2 dozen of his CDs in my collection. I know the music of both artists, and my girlfriend and I go to a lot of concerts of all music genres. The vocals at this show were barely decipherable. The music was great, but I could barely understand Whiskey Myers despite knowing their lyrics and Hank’s vocals were almost inaudible. Whoever the sound tech was for this show did a major disservice to both artists, and I know I’m not alone in this statement because I’ve read several similar reviews from this current tour saying the same. It’s like a pre-show soundcheck never happened. It’s definitely not the venue, I’ve seen 60+ shows at SPAC over the years and never encountered vocal quality as bad as these, and it’s disappointing because both artists put on a hell of a show music-wise.

  • Awesome

Awesome show. Heat was terrible but it did not affect Hank Jr. Wish He would have came back out fir a proper applause. We didn't know it was over.

  • Va beach amphitheater was terrible

by JoJo on 8/13/24Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater at Virginia Beach - Virginia BeachRating: 1 out of 5

Hank did not do a good job he added different lyrics to his songs and teased us with songs we thought he was going to sing. The worst part of the concert was the Va beach amphitheater when it comes to cellular service. For some reason they jam the cellular service so you cannot get calls or call others. So when you need to order an Uber to get home you have to walk a mile to the YMCA to get cell service. I personally will never go back to the Va beach amphitheater.

  • Hank Jr Virginia Beach 8-10-24

by Britt on 8/13/24Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater at Virginia Beach - Virginia BeachRating: 2 out of 5

Whiskey Myers opened the show and they were awesome!! Hank Jr came out and his band sounded great, but he sounded terrible!! He performed for just over 1 hour and then walked off the stage???? I would have seen a better show at any local venue/ bar watching a local musician!!! $54.00 ticket plus money spent at concession stands! I have been to 3 other shows at the amphitheater this summer and they were amazing, but this was a complete waste of a Saturday night!!

  • Great Experience

by SRJ on 8/13/24PNC Music Pavilion - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

Venue was excellent, staff and volunteers were available and friendly, facilities clean and comfortable, the ceiling fans were a trendmendous help. The sound for Hank Williams Jr was great. A wonderful show!

  • Still the GOAT

by Bina on 8/13/24Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater at Virginia Beach - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

This show was fabulous, Cody started things off with a beautiful acoustic set and a spicy version of redneck woman and her own music and then Whiskey Myers came out and with their amazing vocals and guitar playing and percussion lit it up to set it off for Bocephus to give us a master class in why he's the goat and an icon. He was amazing on vocals, stage presence and he played the piano, fiddle, harmonica, multiple guitars and even did an acoustic set and his band is just as amazing. So much talent. If you get the opportunity to see him in person you would be missing an amazing experience of you pass it up. It was fantastic and unforgettable. Thank you Hank Jr!!!

by Outlaw on 8/13/24Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater at Virginia Beach - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

This was a great concert. Hank Williams Jr. still has an excellent voice. He was funny and matter of fact, which is what you would expect from him. He changed up some of the lyrics of the songs, but hey they are his songs and it was fun! If you get a chance go see him!

  • My name is Bocephus.

by Jr De Luca on 8/13/24Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater at Virginia Beach - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Hank performed flawlessly. Voice was excellent. He was very engaging with the crowd. We came to hear the songs that made Hank Bocephus. He performed most of them in medleys. Still, I was glad I got to see him perform. Whiskey Myers stole the show!!!!!

Good concert. I even heard a 20 something young man comment "it was the best concert he's seen and will have to start listening to Hank!"😅
