About

HAMILTON is the story of America then, told by America now.  Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, HAMILTON has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre--a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education.

With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, HAMILTON is based on Ron Chernow's acclaimed biography. It has won Tony®, Grammy®, and Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.

Actually lives up to the hype!

    by ShanDog22 on 3/6/18Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Have you ever been told something was amazing and then was disappointed when you saw it? Well that will NOT happen with Hamilton. The songs are amazing the singing is amazing and you might learn something about our founding fathers that you didn’t know!

A waste of wonderful voices on a brainless fantasy

by Jasonian on 3/5/18Paramount Theatre - Seattle

The hype machine really got carried away on this one; Hamilton was brainless, inaccurate and fake history, and wraught with cultural appropriation to the point of being a white fantasy. The stated intention was to declare that the founding of our nation belonged to everyone, but nothing could be further from the truth. The result was abject nonsense, painful to watch.

    So glad I saw it!

by Snuffaluffaguses on 3/5/18Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Loved this show. Sat around people who had no idea what it entailed or what was going to happen and that made it so fun; people were laughing and crying and pretty much riveted the whole time. The ladies really shined in this touring production; they made it worth it. Morales as Hamilton was unfortunately lackluster and dull; kept hoping he would turn the corner and wake it up but it didn't happen. The choreography and music were incredible; the novelty of the delivery of the story was second to none. Loved it

    Great Show!!

    by dchav15 on 3/5/18Paramount Theatre - Seattle

As a fan of Hamilton for the last 3 years, I was truly amazed with the performance. The Choreography and the awesome music was the best part. The reason why I give it four stars is because Hamilton lacked energy and sound quality wasn't the best.

    Hamilton - Fantastic

by ThoMac on 3/5/18Paramount Theatre - Seattle

For optimum enjoyment listen to the sound track a couple times through BEFORE you see the show. The story is masterfully told through the music which is brilliantly woven throughout!

Hamilton:Best Live Performance I Ever Attended!

by MaggieOwl on 3/4/18Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Eight of my Family saw Hamilton: Three on Broadway and Five in Seattle. Hamilton in Seattle was as Great as the one on Broadway. Words, Music, Dance, Characterization: All Extraordinary. The prices we paid were way more than anything we paid previously for live performances, but none of us have any regrets. Lin-Manuel Miranda is Brilliant. Watched PBS special about him and making of Hamilton. He should win every award possible. Great History lesson for my Grandsons so none of them "Miss Their Shot!"

    Outstanding

by Dantiston on 3/3/18Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Hamilton is a show unlike anything else. I started listening to the album on repeat months before I saw the show the first time, and now that I have seen it twice I know that the choreography, acting, and stage design are all just as good as the fantastic music. If you're on the fence, go see it. The show has something for everyone: history, romance, thriller, mystery, rivalry, and tragedy, as well as rap, opera, hip hop dancing, ballroom dancing, and so much more. It's a masterpiece of culture.

    Music comes to life!

by DahT on 3/3/18Paramount Theatre - Seattle

We have all been listening to the soundtrack of Hamilton for awhile now. The stage finally knits the music together into the complete and compelling historical drama that is Hamilton.

    by HamiltonFan51 on 3/3/18Paramount Theatre - Seattle

You don’t need me to tell you what a phenomenal history lesson this musical is. The singing was outstanding especially loved “Eliza’s” (Shoba Narayan) voice. One of the most beautiful I’ve ever heard. Laughed and cried... Miranda has created an unforgettable experience. Thank you !

Don't hesitate to see this show! It's unbelievable

by WickedWanda on 3/2/18Paramount Theatre - Seattle

I am not the usual demographic for rap and hip-hop. I'm a middle-aged woman in the suburbs...and I LOVED Hamilton!! I even liked the rap, despite disliking most of the rap songs I have heard before going to Hamilton. The show is a multi-layer, rich, intense mix of different aspects of Lin-Manual Miranda's genius. You know how when you go to a fancy restaurant and you have a dish with a complex sauce? And you've read the menu and hesitated to order that dish because it has a long list of ingredients that don't seem like they'd go together? But then you taste that sauce and start to swoon because you taste some of the flavors on the front of your tongue, and some of the back, and some all over, and sometimes you're aware of one flavor and sometimes all of them? Hamilton is like that. The staging (including a floor with concentric circles that can rotate in opposite directions), the groundbreaking choreography, the casting, the lighting, the use of actors with a different heritage than our white founding fathers, the way the ensemble adds movement and texture to the scenes...absolute genius. The story is compelling and the history lesson one we should all learn. It all works. Perfectly. I loved this show so much I went back for a second time. And I wasn't the only one. If you miss it, you will miss a musical and dramatic revolution unlike anything we've seen before.

Saw it twice! Would see it again.

    by HAMILTONmama253 on 3/2/18Paramount Theatre - Seattle

We saw Hamilton in LA and in Seattle. Both casts were incredible. It’s the best written musical I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen a few.
