    Hair was interesting

by Documentation on 4/27/14Toyota Center Kennewick - Kennewick

It certainly made a statement! I was in college when Hair came out, but was isolated from all these antics!

    HAIR did not disappoint!

by SISMB on 4/26/14Toyota Center Kennewick - Kennewick

The performance was quite enjoyable - high energy, easy to hear, engaging.

Hair was better than I thought it would be!

by Riverwitch on 4/25/14Toyota Center Kennewick - Kennewick

Being someone who lived through the 60s, I wasn't sure that this revival would be up to par with the original show, but I was pleasantly surprised! They went back to a lot of the original material, and the cast was really great considering that they are young people who are living in the aftermath rather than having lived it from the beginning. Every single one of the cast were great singers, and the choreography was amazingly organic. The second half was the best because they told the back story in the first half, so they were able to really rock during the second half. The only downside was that the audience in Tri-Cities, WA was low energy, perhaps because they did not know what to expect. A few people left during intermission, and one guy made nothing but negative comments as he was heading out the door. I'm thinking he did not see the same production I did, but he was younger and probably thinks cynicism is cool, which was the exact opposite of the message of Hair. I was seriously impressed and I'm so glad this show is still going strong because people need to "let the sun shine in", especially in this day and age.

    Hair

by Stubsie on 4/25/14Toyota Center Kennewick - Kennewick

This was not a good production. The cast didn't really seem to have the spirit of the times (I lived through that period) and the singing was poor except for the tall black lady, who was really good. Both "Easy to be Hard" and "Where do I go" were butchered.

    Definately different

by krae2013abc on 4/25/14Toyota Center Kennewick - Kennewick

We weren't real impressed with any part of this program. The play wasn't very funny, the actors weren't very good actors, and the singers were just okay. Not real impressed by any part of it.

    Hair is the best.

by Felixbb on 4/16/14Coronado Performing Arts Center - Rockford

The Tribal Rock musical "Hair" is a play that every adult over 15 should experience. This was the third time I've seen it. Once in Chicago at a neighborhood theatre and once in Kalamazoo in 2013. The spirit of the show is timeless. The songs are full of emotion and the "Flesh Failures/Let the Sunshine In" finale gave me an emotional lift like no other entertainment experience ever did. I look forward to a 2015 tour.

I thought the play SUCKED!!! The actors/actresses did O. K., but the play itself SUCKED!!! Not at all what I expected.

    Hair was fantastic

by Mxymi on 4/14/14Coronado Performing Arts Center - Rockford

Hair was fantastic! The music has been changed since I saw it years ago, but it was still great. The cast was extremely energetic and fun. It was an great play to see.

    out of touch?

by flickaw on 4/14/14Coronado Performing Arts Center - Rockford

The play was good and the performances awesome. My companion and I both felt that the show itself is a little too out of touch for today's world. However, we did enjoy it, and as I said, the performances were very good.

    A lot of Hair!

by LisPD on 4/14/14Coronado Performing Arts Center - Rockford

Lead vocalists could have been a little stronger. The choreography in the first half was well done; kind of fell of after that. Would have like a bigger Aquarius moment. Eliminate the additions - the planet song was hideous; embarrassing for the performer to sing! Blec. Some misplaced volalists; some should have been in lead and some lead in background. Overall, B-

What a unique and creative rendition. Better than the movie. Incredible performers. A must see.

    Hair was fun!

by Deeebbbb on 4/13/14Orpheum Theatre Sioux City - Sioux City

I thought it was a good play, but I thought it wasn't the caliber of play I would expect from a professional theater group. I thought they would highlight their theme songs with a little longer version of them.

Okay - but not as good as the past ones I've seen

    by Eurydice00 on 4/12/14Adler Theatre - Davenport

I did not really care for the "new" version of this iconic show. It lacked the exuberance and joy that encompassed the one I saw in Chicago in the '70s and the one I saw at the Adler many years ago. Most of my friends agreed it was just plain lacking. The war/military scenes were well done, but the rest? Bleh. Also - the added scenes did nothing to enhance the experience except make it too long.

    Hair

by Woobie2 on 4/11/14Orpheum Theatre Sioux City - Sioux City

I thought it was bad. I loved the movie but this had no plot to follow and the singers were not that great. My 25 year old daughter went with me as a birthday treat and she wanted to leave at intermission.

    Hair was poorly done..

by Niely57 on 4/11/14Orpheum Theatre Sioux City - Sioux City

Poor singing.....bad sets.....overemphasis on sex/nudity......very disappointing to say the least.......I grew up in the 60's and 70's and this was not what flower children were all about. My wife and I were so underwhelmed that we left at intermission. Worst "Broadway" play I have seen.

    Hair has lost it's frizz

by postalpete on 4/11/14Orpheum Theatre Sioux City - Sioux City

The actors played hard, but story line has lost it's impact. Nothing was shocking. Not even he 10 second nudity. It's an old story, & should be put to rest.

    Disappointing

by Lola1972 on 4/11/14Orpheum Theatre Sioux City - Sioux City

I saw Hair about ten years ago and really enjoyed it. This new script did nothing to improve the show. I would never go again.

The singing was amazing! We were engaged from the beginning when the actors and actresses came down the aisles or over the seats.
