Hadestown On Tour
COME SEE HOW THE WORLD COULD BE.
Welcome to Hadestown, where a song can change your fate. Winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards® including Best Musical and the 2020 Grammy® Award for Best Musical Theater Album, this acclaimed new show by celebrated singer-songwriter Anais Mitchell and innovative director Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812) is a love story for today... and always.
Hadestown intertwines two mythic tales — that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone — as it invites you on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Mitchell's beguiling melodies and Chavkin's poetic imagination pit industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love. Performed by a vibrant ensemble of actors, dancers and singers, Hadestownis a haunting and hopeful theatrical experience that grabs you and never lets go.

Hadestown was the first broadway tour i’ve ever seen, and as a performer, i was absolutely taken aback. literally could not stop crying through the entire show. extremely talented cast, touching story, immersive set and lighting design, the whole nine yards. would’ve come back and seen it a thousand more times if i could :’)
Many patrons once inside the theatre were not observing the mask mandate. Many people were lowering their mask every time they said something to their friend, wearing their mask on their chin leaving mouth and nose exposed or leaving their nose exposed or just holding their mask in their hand. Vaccination checks went smoothly and people moved through quickly.
I’ve been waiting to see Hadestown for years and I’m so glad I finally got to see it! The cast was lovely and the venue worked really hard to keep everything in order.
Vivid, fluid and polished performance! All the actors and musicians were so talented; left it all on the stage.
Very, very happy with the experience at the Boston Opera House. The production did an excellent job of making the most of a smaller stage and effects were visually stunning. The cast and crew all pulled off an excellent show
The cast and set were terrific...defineitly lived up to our hopes/expectations
My friend and I had a wonderful time! Absolutely beautiful show and the event went above and beyond to keep everyone safe (covid safe). Rating the whole experience 10/10
The venue was safe clean and beautiful. The performances were amazing I could go on and on about each. The lead was amazing she did everything perfect. Hades was fire. Made for the role. Persephone did not disappoint. “Anyone want a drink?” The fates were my favorite. While my daughter loved Eurydice.
I had listened to the Hadestown soundtrack before, but seeing it on stage is an one of a kind experience I’ll never forget! There’s so much artistry put into this production, especially with the lighting, that draws you in immediately and keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Very organized Friendly and helpful stuff Very clean
Hadestown was an amazing experience! The music was beautiful, the stage lush and the message very clear. The understudy who played Orpheus had the most beautiful voice ever!
Incredible performance. The singing was exceptional.Particularly loved the understudy who sang the role of Orpheus. I had listened to both the original recording, from years ago and the Broadway recording and could tell how the music developed and the story tightened up on it’s way to Broadway.
I’m a Latin teacher and a musical theater lover so this musical has been on my list for a few years! I was so excited to see how the original mythology was handled and how the music would help bring it to life. The music was amazing, the performers were fantastic, and the way the tragedy of the myth is handled was really great!
I love that I received my tickets by mail, in plenty of time..thank you..I do not like paperless ticketing..and BTW the show was outstanding I highly recommend..I can not wait to return to the Opera House
Everything everything was wonderful . The music, performances, lighting were fabulous. Great show. Highly recommend.
What a great experience to be back in a theater to see an amazing show! Music is absolutely gorgeous and the musicians rocked. The cast were wonderful. Even if you know the story you do not want the ending to happen.
There are beautiful underlying messages throughout this play with regard to relationship and connections that I admired deeply. Well written.
Good music, but Broadway in Boston failed to inform the audience on Tuesday, 11/2, that the understudy would perform the role of Orpheus.
This show is everything and the tour cast is nothing short of incredible. I was enthralled in every second. This is the show of our time.
