Hadestown On Tour
COME SEE HOW THE WORLD COULD BE.
Welcome to Hadestown, where a song can change your fate. Winner of eight 2019 Tony AwardsÂŽ including Best Musical and the 2020 GrammyÂŽ Award for Best Musical Theater Album, this acclaimed new show by celebrated singer-songwriter Anais Mitchell and innovative director Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812) is a love story for today... and always.
Hadestown intertwines two mythic tales â that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone â as it invites you on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Mitchell's beguiling melodies and Chavkin's poetic imagination pit industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love. Performed by a vibrant ensemble of actors, dancers and singers, Hadestownis a haunting and hopeful theatrical experience that grabs you and never lets go.
I loved the music and the acting, but the sound quality was disappointing. The words were not clear so i did not always understand what was being said.
We were in absolute awe of the singing, acting, choreography, and set design. This show was in our top five Broadway shows of all time.
Amazing production. Delightful and entertaining. I enjoyed my evening at Hadestownđ
Great play! Loved the cast and the music was amazing! Initially I was hesitant to see this play not knowing much about mythical Gods, but right from the beginning, you are introduced to the cast and easily can follow along with the story. Would see again!
My brother and I went to Columbus from Cleveland to see this show and it was one of the best shows we had seen in years!! The design was so wonderful, particular the lighting and the cast was so talented, especially the actors playing Persephone and Hermes. I may see this again when it comes to Pittsburgh next year!
Such a talented cast! Everyone should see this show!
The talent in the play was outstanding. Everyone of the players are gifted. The dancing, the singing, the humor, just... OUTSTANDING. Thank you for your performance
While this play isnât my favorite musical, I was pleasantly surprised. The singing was great and quite difficult. We really liked the trombone player. We could hear quite well even near the top of the theatre.
Great show! Great performers! Absolutely! Phenomenon music!
This was my soon to be 16 year old daughters first play, but most certainly wont be her last! The cast were all perfectly suited to their roles and executed them exquisitely!! 10 out of 10 recommend!
This company is phenomenal. The staging was very good given the limited space in the theater in Columbus.
This was my first time using Ticketmaster mobile tix and my first time attending a performance at the Ohio Theater in Columbus ( just moved to area from Cleveland)and first time in a large venue since Covid so I had some anxiety. But I am happy to say all my worries were for nothing. The Ticketmaster experience was smooth snd easy. The theater beautiful and the show heartwarming snd engaging! The check in process went quickly and I felt safe and protected . I will be back soon!
Iâve seen a fair amount of shows in a fair amount of cities and this was one of the best! Amazing show with great use of a small cast and really cool lighting effects. The Ohio theater in Columbus was gorgeous. Love the old fashioned classic feel!
The performance was everything we hoped for! Excellent from beginning to end. Great staff as well. Hermès stole the show, but everyone was wonderful!
I havenât been able to listen to anything else but the soundtrack since I saw it. The musics, costume, set , lighting!, choreography! Oh it was just amazing
As cheesy as it sounds, words fail me when it comes to describing "Hadestown". Simultaneously inspiring and heartbreaking, "Hadestown" is a perfectly rendered, contemporary retelling of the classic tale of Orpheus and Eurydice. I've listened to the soundtrack before, but seeing it performed live was a revelation. If you see only one musical live this year, make it Hadestown. You'll want to see it again and again.
Iâve been listening to this show for a little over a year now, and found out that the show was coming about 4 hours from home. When I tell you that this show was worth 8 hours of driving in a day, it was WORTH it. I laughed, I cried, I wish I could go back and watch it over and over. The tour cast was SPECTACULAR. As someone who hasnât really done *anything* since March 2020, it was so nice to go into a space that I felt safe in with masks and vaccine rules, and for a show that was so amazing. I believe Iâll be singing the praises of this show and annoying everyone around me for a while.
Amazing show! Wish I could see it again!! Beautiful music!
For telling an ancient story, this show gets high marks for originality. The touring cast was all-around excellent. Beautifully staged.
My family and I saw Hadestown at the Ohio Theater in Columbus, Ohio this past week and it was a wonderful experience! The show electrifying, and being back in the theater seeing a Broadway show was equally impactful. Bravo in all regards!
