I saw this snow with little advance knowledge of the story or songs. The cast was truly outstanding without exception. The story is interesting and engaging and told in a very creative and wonderful way.
So glad to be back in the theater with a show like this. It was a wonderful story. The cast was phenomenal, and we loved every minute!
Hadestown topped off a great weekend in Chicago! Great love story and talented actors make for a fantastic story! A must see!
Seeing this show renewed my faith musical theatre. Best show I have see in years, including shows on and off Broadway. Touring cast was glorious - esp. actors in the roles of Hermes and Persephone. Just glorious. Music was even better live than in the recording with the original Broadway cast. Timely, sad, beautiful, hopeful, playfully subversive. Wish this could be bottled!
Coming to the theater with an open mind and being very pleased about this performance. The stage presence and actors were very good. I really enjoyed the singing!!
Hadestown is by far one of the best productions I've ever seen. It's enthralling and engaging from start to finish.
Wonderful cast, great story! I've had issues in the past with the mics and speakers at the Cadillac Palace, this theater actually had good sound, loud enough to hear the dialogue clearly. I was engaged in the story and truly felt like the cast and musicians gave it their all. 10/10
This was a good musical, I'm happy I had a chance to catch this show before it left Chicago.
Hadestown was one of the most amazing musicals I have ever seen. Every role was perfectly cast. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.
Good set and costuming, but average music and plot. Overhyped
I really enjoyed the Hadestown soundtrack... but the performance was on a different level. The touring cast and crew did an amazing job bringing the story to life. The performers never faltered and kept consistent energy through the entire show. "Wait for Me" was a visual treat that I simply wasn't ready for by just listening to the soundtrack. Check out this show if you can!
Great theater! Loved having the suite experience! But the show...oh my god the show! Incredible cast, the set and tech kept me on my seat, and the story was phenomenal!
I have been listening to the Broadway sound track for over a year now, so I know going into it I would like it, but seeing the all of the actor be in tip top shape and living the characters better than I could imagine made me unable to stop watching. I also Loved how the pit was not hidden away like most musicals but were an active part in the musical. All the music were performed perfectly and I even heard some people get emotional at some points. If you are on the fence to go and see it buy the ticket you will not regret it.
I was concerned that the touring company might disappoint, but Wow! Glad we got tickets for this relatively short run. And I appreciate the COViD safety requirements- at this point primarily to keep the performers healthy.

Amazing cast in an awesome show at a beautiful theater!
Hadestown was fabulous and flawless! However. If you are not a short, tiny person the seats in the mezzanine were the most uncomfortable we've ever been in. Splurge on orchestra seats. The show is worth it.
We went to Hadestown with no preconceived expectations other than knowing about the kudos the show had garnered in New York. We were blown away from the moment the cast and musicians took the stage. It was an incredible experience. Great songs, dance numbers, musicianship, and sets combined to bring a wonderful spin to a mythological tale. From the time we left the theater, in the car on the way home, and into the next day, we couldn't stop talking about the show. This was the first "new" musical we've seen, and it was as solid a performance as any of the classics we've enjoyed over the past twenty years.
This show has it all, singing, dancing, a great story and compelling characters! The music is beyond compare and I love the New Orleans flare!! Finally, something unique and mesmerizingđđđ
Excellent staging and inventive choreography. Vocal talents were outstanding. Masking and Vaccination check required some added time at entry.
