About

About Guster:

Guster continues supporting its latest new release, Easy Wonderful.  But this tour will also mark the release of a special edition EP including new material and never released rarities.  Since the debut in October, Easy Wonderful peaked at #22 on the Billboard Top 200 and clinched the #2 spot on the Alternative Albums chart.  The album's sunny and extremely hummable first single, "Do You Love Me" was at Top Ten single on the Adult Alternative Album charts, and the band has just released their follow single "Architects and Engineers."  Guster's live performances have become legendary. The group continues to inject humor and heart into every single show they play.

About Jack's Mannequin:

After his hard-working punk-pop quintet Something Corporate decided to take a break in the summer of 2004, Andrew McMahon found himself writing a batch of confessional piano-driven songs that explored his return home to Orange County and his attempt to reconnect with the people he had alienated when he left to tour with Something Corporate. With the help of several musician friends (which included producer Jim Wirt and Mötley Crüe's Tommy Lee), McMahon began recording Everything in Transit under the moniker Jack's Mannequin.  Since then, McMahon has gone on to release one other studio album with Jack's Mannequin titled The Glass Passenger, toured with the likes of The Fray and Weezer, released the documentary "Dear Jack" which followed his treatment and recovery from leukemia, and is now prepping to release People and Things, his third studio album (Summer 2011).

    jacks's Manniquin rocked Ft. Lauderdale

by Maggie2010 on 8/23/11Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

I went to check out both bands and I had never heard of them before revolutionlive. Jack's Mannequin was a fun energetic band while the crowd sang every Word with Andrew McMahon. Watching Guster was fun but I didn't leave with a lasting impression like I did with Jack's Manniquin.

    Great Guster @ CMAC!

by noodledaddy on 8/17/11Constellation Brands Performing Arts Center - CMAC - Canandaigua

My girlfriend and I just saw Guster for the second time this year. Honestly, she's knows their music much better than I do because she's much closer to their target demographic than I am. (She's 33; I'm 47.) However, I have been so impressed by both of their shows. While I don't mind their music and now have a few songs I genuinely like, hearing them live takes their tunes to a whole different level. How many bands have a banjo, bongos, and a ukulele in the same song? Their ability to move from one instrument to another--again and again and again--is truly impressive. And they seem to be having a blast the whole time. I would gladly see Guster again. I was also really impressed by both Ra Ra Riot and Jack's Mannequin, who opened for Guster. My only disappointment was when we got to our seats and realized that there was a small aisle between us because there was a pole in front of us. Fortunately, I was able to move next to her after a few songs.

    Jack & Guster

by Pinkypower on 8/17/11Constellation Brands Performing Arts Center - CMAC - Canandaigua

Before the concert started, when you were walking in there was a table where you could upgrade your lawn ticket to an actual seat. This was pretty cool of them to do, but I also think it was because the concert didn't sell out. But still very cool of them to do! First to play was Ra Ra Riot. At most venues the opener band is well to be frank shitty. You can never really hear the band. Unable to make out there lyrics and just aren't enjoyable. But for CMAC, Ra Ra Riot was AWESOME. My friend and I loved them. You were able to hear them and we had a lot of fun. It was an interesting vibe of classical and chill alternative. I highly suggest picking up there album! Second up was Jack's Mannequin, really the reason why I came to this concert. Jack Mannequin was AMAZING, this would be my 3rd time seeing them in concert. I enjoyed this venue a lot because no matter where you were sitting you could enjoy the show. The sound was great and everything just came together well. Jack's Mannequin played for a little over an hour which was AWESOME. Even played a brand new song, only performed twice, which was really a treat! I loved how the last song was played with Ryan for Guster. It's cool to see the 2 bands get a long and are friends. It really just felt like your best friends were just jamming in your living room. That is the best vibe you can give off to your fans, in my opinion. Before the Last band, Guster. There was a HUGE storm coming in. Most people were under the shell, but there of course were people with lawn seats. The manager at the CMAC came and spoke to all of us about the storm. He invited everyone on the lawn to come in underneath the shell for safety precautions. I thought that this was really nice of them. I respect all the staff at CMAC. I have never been to a concert where this has happened before. Lastly was Guster. I am a Guster fan but wouldn't say "die-hard". Guster awesome. Really great. I love how chill and down to earth they are. They played a great set. My friend who I was with never really heard of Guster, after the concert she borrowed all my Guster cds, which was cool. I would definitely want to see Guster again in concert. And there last songs included Andrew (lead singer and pianist) of Jack's Mannequin. I thought that was really cool of them!! Great way to end the show.

    Both sets were incredible

by Anonymous on 8/17/11Festival Pier (at Penn's Landing) - Philadelphia

Andy looked so healthy, it was an awesome night for me. Two of my favorites together. The weather was perfect, the venue was great and the preformances were everything I hoped for and more. The thing I love most about both bands is you leave knowing they are doing exactly want they love to do. Great show guys, thanks!

Jack's Manniquen Never Lets Me Down

by AdamBomb0005 on 8/16/11Constellation Brands Performing Arts Center - CMAC - Canandaigua

If you like Jack's music and have a chance to see them live, you should. It is full of energy and full of amazing music. Andy McMahon delivers really good vocals while being fun and engaging. The rest of the band played great and delivered tweaked versions of songs to make a better concert experience (with some really amazing breakdowns). I was also really impressed with Ra Ra Riot. I described it at the time as a buffet for my ears :P Really good use of a wide range of instruments. I unfortunately had to leave before Guster went on :(

    Gustering at CMAC

by Smoly on 8/16/11Constellation Brands Performing Arts Center - CMAC - Canandaigua

Guster and Jack's Mannequin was an excellent show. Jack's Mannequin gave an energetic performance; although they may have taken up some of Guster's stage time. Guster seemed a bit flustered; I don't think they had enough time for set up and sound checks. But, they still delivered a great show. Buckets of rain and bright lightening didn't derail the show and the CMAC managers brought everyone sitting on the lawn under the shelter of the shell.

    Jack's Mannequin and Guster

    by Chachie13 on 8/15/11CMAC - Canandaigua

Jack's Mannequin is one of the few artists/bands i have seen who sound just as good live as they do on their album. It is awesome and refreshing. Great show. Also, we saw them at CMAC in Canandaigua, NY adn there was a nasty storm that came through during the show. Someone who worked at the venue (possibly the general manager) got on stage and reported that the storn was coming then invited everyone with lawn seats to come under the shell for free to continue to enjoy the concert without getting poured/hailed on or blown away! It was a great show at a great venue.

Thumbs up Ra Ra Riot and Guster

by ccalgreen on 8/15/11Constellation Brands Performing Arts Center - CMAC - Canandaigua

Ra Ra Riot were brilliant - shame they were cramped up in front of Jack's Mannequin's gear. Would love to see them headline, or at least have a set up that allows them to use the most of their energy. Jack's Mannequin bored the tits off me. The singer did work the crowd well, but the music is tedious. Should never have co-headlined with Guster, which is a far superior act in every way. Guster, as usual, were excellent. May have been spoiled from my last gig, which was the Lost and Gone Forever anniversary tour, and saw them play a 2.5 hour set. This time it felt rushed, and Ryan made several mentions of having to keep on time. Should also have had a dedicated mosh pit. Bottom line, if they'd have gotten rid of Jack's Mannequin, both Ra Ra Riot and Guster could have done a proper show, and I wouldn't have had to hang around for 2 hours in the middle. At least the thunderstorm held off until Guster were on stage (that would have sucked balls), and thumbs up to management for bringing in the lawn tickets under the roof, although it wasn't anywhere near full. Could have been a lot worse like in Indiana - I would hope CMAC is constructed to withstand wind loads like that.

    Jack's Mannequin is amazing!

by smashh on 8/15/11Constellation Brands Performing Arts Center - CMAC - Canandaigua

This concert was fantastic!! They put on an amazing show full of a ton of energy. To make the concert even better, they played with Guster and Ra Ra Riot. I have never heard of Ra Ra Riot before, but they were good. Three good bands in one concert, which happens to be super close to home? Couldn't ask for anything better!

Guster put on an awesome show all around....not only with the music but with the way they connected with the audience and tried to get everyone into it. Really enjoyed Jack's Mannequin as well and Ra Ra Riot was an amazing opener!

Ra Ra Riot/Jack's Mannequin/Guster was phenomenal!

by Kaeza on 8/15/11Constellation Brands Performing Arts Center - CMAC - Canandaigua

Concert at CMAC in Canandaigua, NY was truly amazing. The bands were excellent, the venue was great, and the overall atmosphere was engaging and entertaining. The massive thunder and lightning storm that occurred during the show only added to the excitement and drama. Luckily everyone was safe under the roof, but the open-air sides of the stadium allowed the audience to enjoy the light show inside and outside.

    Guster's Still Got It

by JaketheSalad on 8/15/11Constellation Brands Performing Arts Center - CMAC - Canandaigua

Guster was incredible. They make me the happiest man on earth. RaRaRiot was a solid opening band with decent music and hipster appeal. Jack's Mannequin, however, was not my thing. Their music is pretty mediocre. I guess Guster is touring with them to target a new audience of listeners. But Guster played a great set, very long, with lots of encores to make up for the long wait.

    Amazing Show as Usual

by Jginge on 8/15/11Stone Pony Summer Stage - Asbury Park

I've seen Guster half a dozen times now, and they never fail to please! Always an entertaining show, filled with great music, a great performance and lots of whimsy, jokes and fun. Jack's Mannequin was a great addition this time around, and I really enjoyed Ra Ra Riot, I downloaded their album this weekend and recommend it!!

    A fun thunderstorm show...

by Anonymous on 8/15/11Constellation Brands Performing Arts Center - CMAC - Canandaigua

I've seen Guster a few times and this show was no disappointment. Perhaps even more fun given the severe weather. When you looked around everyone was dancing, smiling, having a good time, myself included. Jack's Mannequin was a fun match up, too.
