About

Formed in 1985 in Los Angeles, Guns N' Roses are one of the best-selling rock acts in history. Apart from more than 100 million records sold worldwide (including their 18-times platinum debut Appetite for Destruction), the group is also a formidable live act, regularly selling out stadiums and headlining major festivals. They performed for the first time as Guns N' Roses in June 1985 at the Troubadour in Hollywood, Calif. and have hardly left the road since, though the band has undergone various lineup changes. The 2016-2019 Not In This Lifetime… Tour — which featured classic lineup members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan performing together for the first time since 1993 — is one of the highest-grossing runs in history. To date, Guns N’ Roses have grossed $774.1 million and sold 9.6 million tickets over 453 shows.

    Oh Dear…

    by 😱 on 11/5/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

We all know Axel Rose has lost his voice, but his arrogance! Why not use a back up track? Why not use other talent? The sound was so bad, that the audience had trouble even recognizing the songs. He never even addressed the loyal crowd who sat through it all. There was also no effort put into the background video. All very sad:(…

    Awesome

by Jen Ortiz on 11/5/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

While perhaps Axl can't hit the high notes while running around like he used to, they all still brought it. This show was the most fun I've ever had. So glad I got to go see them!!

A Rockin Great Time as always at GNR!

by DSlash on 11/5/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

The drive from the OC to Hollywood Bowl was worth the 2 hours it took with traffic to get there! SLASH, Axl & Duff always put on an amazing show! I got to wear my 80's GNR gear that I love wearing & rock out with the best 80's band to ever live! I will always make an effort to see GNR live when within driving distance. Their appetite for destruction album will live on forever!

    Legends

by Jess C on 11/5/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

GnR put on a phenomenal show! Slash is one of the greatest guitarists of all time and was absolutely mesmerizing. The sound sucked at the Hollywood Bowl. It’s a rock concert for goodness sake! Crank up the volume!

    GnR at the Bowl

by DBoy on 11/5/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Great venue, hard to screw up. Sound was a bit off, and Axl’s voice is what it is. I was prepared for it. Long set. Great variety from their career, even a few covers. Lights and band were on point, and Slash is just great.

    Guns and Roses

by LN on 11/5/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

I thought the sound was absolutely horrible. It sounded like we were listening to the monitors on the stage. Obviously they have a sound limit there but it was not good. The show was okay and I heard they cut a song as Axl voice was cutting out too... Glad I saw them in 93 with Metallica....

    So so

by GnR on 11/5/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

I love Guns N’ Roses. They are my all time favorite band. I sat in section S and the beginning of the show, the sound was horrible. Thankfully during the last few songs it improved.

Axl and his band have never looked or sounded better.

by S leal on 11/5/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Loved Axl's black on black for It's So Easy, a show with almost every one of my favorite songs- Slash Duff and Richard - insane talents- love DFR the insanely talented pianist and the girl is awesome too on keyboards and the drummer. Every song was perfection and I cannot fathom how SLASH never misses one note. My God he's got the white gauze shirt on and it's sweaty and see thru and unbuttoned to his belly button ring- SO FREAKING HOT. I enjoyed every second of both nights and will never stop seeing G N FG R. Don't miss it next time!!

    Great but...

by Turo on 11/4/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

The band is amazing but Axel's vocals left everything to be desired. Not singing with gusto in falsetto was just weak! The battling guitar solos between Slash & Izzy were incredible.

One of the worst sounding concerts i’ve ever been to.

by Andres Y on 11/4/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

What a disappointment. Imagine being incredibly excited about seeing one of the greatest rock bands of all time and then it sounds like they were playing through a small bluetooth speaker. Watching Welcome To the Jungle, You Could Be Mine, November Rain, Sweet Child o Mine and feel 0 excitement. If there was any refund policy for that, i’ll ask for a refund. Heartbreaking.

by PhillyRich on 11/4/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

What a show! I can’t believe they hadn’t played this iconic venue before but I hope they come back again someday. The band looked and sounded great and I don’t know how they played for so long. Amazing!

    Beyond Amazing

by Brandon on 11/4/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Great band. Between Axl Rose’s stellar vocals and Slash’s unworldly guitar playing ability this is a must see R&R band. The show ran for 3 hours straight without any breaks. I hope I get to see them again.

    Left much to be desired...

by VicTheBoss on 11/4/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Might have been one of the most disappointing concerts I've ever been to. Reminiscent of some neighborhood bar where a tone-deaf fella takes the stage after one too many drinks and tries to belt out a tune on the local karaoke night. Musically they performed well, but nostalgic GN'R fans that grew up loving Axl Rose's raspy voice were forced to endure two hours of absolutely awful vocals. Don't get me wrong, there were a few occasions where Axl turned it on and gave us glimpses of the old voice during certain songs... but for the majority of the night, listening to him sing was really sad. If you were just satisfied a subpar trip down memory lane, then this concert may have been for you. Honestly, it was horrible to listen to. My friend got tickets for free and he still feels like Axl owes him his money back.
