About

Formed in 1985 in Los Angeles, Guns N' Roses are one of the best-selling rock acts in history. Apart from more than 100 million records sold worldwide (including their 18-times platinum debut Appetite for Destruction), the group is also a formidable live act, regularly selling out stadiums and headlining major festivals. They performed for the first time as Guns N' Roses in June 1985 at the Troubadour in Hollywood, Calif. and have hardly left the road since, though the band has undergone various lineup changes. The 2016-2019 Not In This Lifetime… Tour — which featured classic lineup members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan performing together for the first time since 1993 — is one of the highest-grossing runs in history. To date, Guns N’ Roses have grossed $774.1 million and sold 9.6 million tickets over 453 shows.

I traveled 6000 miles to see these Legends: Axl, Slash and Duff... and I was just a few meters away, so we deeply felt the rock, which will last forever in our hearts!!...fantastic!!

Good concert but tickets sold twice

    by MO403 on 11/6/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

I always love concerts at the Bowl. We were interrupted middle of the concert by someone who had the same exact ticket as one of the two I purchased. Luckily there was room for us all to squeeze in but this would have been a bigger problem had it been sold out.

    Band Saved Concert

by JQ on 11/5/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Band and Slash saved concert, axles voice sucked that night. I am a fan going back to the beginning and I know the songs, for the first hour you couldn't understand the words even though I knew them. I would have left early but Hollywood Bowl has stacked parking. Alot of people singing in audience were singing better. Concert was a far cry from Dodger Stadium in 2016. Hope it was just an off night.

Best Guns n Roses live show since 1993

by Benno on 11/5/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

First time seeing Guns n Roses outside of Australia and the Hollywood Bowl was the perfect venue. When the bass line started for Its so Easy and then Axls voice powere out i to the bowl i o ew it was gonna be on. The band were powering Axls voice was on fire and it was the night they chose to debut their new song The General. All class the band and the venue. Could not have asked for a better experience. Nostalgic and epic

by Rorschacher on 11/5/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Well Axle Rose has a voice that only a mother could love at this point. He sounds awful, but for every song he was way off and sucked the life out of everything, there was another song where Slash just killed it and brought everyone right back.

    Black keys made the show

by Mar on 11/5/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Black keys were great. Slash played well, Axl’s voice is shot to hell. This will be my last time seeing them. Sadly or luckily they (GNR) cut the set 41 early compared to the night before.

The Black Keys did an amazing job opening for GNR. Glad to be able to catch them both in one awesome show.

    50/50

by Ren on 11/5/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

This is tough for me. I REALLY like GnR and recently I’ve read all the books put out by the original members. Knowing MOST of the original band was touring, I REALLY wanted to see them. Right out of the gate, the sound was off- I think. Axl started with the deep Axl voice and it sounded like it kept fluctuating in mid to low tones. Then at moments, Axl would hit the signature high Axl tones, the audience would erupt, and then it would drop to what sounded like a muffled high tone. I thought they had to make adjustments and repeated watched Axl reach behind to adjust what I assumed was the cordless pack for the mic, unsure why this was happening, as it should have been worked out in warmups. By the 4th song, it didn’t change and I started questioning my purchase and how much longer I’ll be able to stick it out. I finally had enough mid show and decided it was the end of the line for me. I got up and started to walk out. As I neared the bottom of my section to the walkway, they started Knocking On Heavens Door. The vocals started out great, so I stood on the path to listen some more. The entire song was great and left me thinking it must be my seats (near the top of The Hollywood Bowl) but stood and debated how that could be as I was literally sitting on the other side of the wall behind me. So I decided to stay there for another song. Well, the next song was sung by Duff and that too came out without issue. So I decided to wait it out for another Axl lead song. This time, Civil War and it started out great. So great in fact, that I decided I needed to go back to my seats and stay. I literally took 2 steps up, Axl went to hit a higher note, and the same issue of sound came back. I went back to the aisle to listen and it continued. I knew then that it wasn’t an issue of sound and unfortunately, more an issue of vocals. I left heat the ups and downs of the vocals the whole walk out. I feel bummed. I’ve been a fan since Appetite was released, been through many life experiences that always resurface and take me back when I listen to GnR and as mentioned early on, just finished reading all their books- so I felt even closer than normal. I also returned the next night for another groups concert, sat at the very top, and had no issue other than it not being loud enough. I did like the preview of The General and hope to see that released soon!!!! Also, I hope they collaborate enough to sit down and put out a new, full album and just just tour on the past. I also hope to one day read a book put out by Axl. I’d like to read about his perspective and his account of what took place in the beginning days. And yes, I will most likely go again one day, in hopes that the vocals have improved.

    Great concert!

by BAG on 11/5/23Ball Arena - Denver

Guns n' Roses put on one hell of a show! They played for almost 3.5 hours and a 32 song set list! CRAZY!! We have been to 10 concerts at Ball Arena this year and all have been above average experiences. This was our last show of the year and it was a great way to end it! Only downside is the purse/bag size you have reduced to on what my wife can bring in. 4x6x1.5 is pretty small.

Definitely checked off my bucket list

by Chuck on 11/5/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

I had a great time at the concert bc of the actual band themselves…I do however have 2 major issues with the venue 1) the parking is atrocious!!!! I don’t know how they charge for parking and then don’t even have PROPER parking spaces…you literally park behind other cars and next to other cars making it impossible to get out once you’re ready…I had to wait 45 minutes for other drivers to come into their cars 2) I was seated in the very last section of the venue and the music just was not Concert loud back there…I suppose that seating is very ideal for someone who wants to attend a concert but maybe has sensitive ears but if you want the loud concert experience the music just doesn’t reach that far back very loudly

    GNR + Hollywood Bowl

by Eric on 11/5/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Overall I enjoyed the show, and next time they come around, will see them again. That said, the vocal mix was very muddy (was told by my friend that they recently got a new sound guy, seems like a downgrade to me), and it wasn't loud enough overall. Loved the older stuff, but the set was pretty heavy on Chinese Democracy stuff, which I could do without.

    Overall a good experience

by Pau on 11/5/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

GNR is one of those bands you must see once in your lifetime. It’s that 80s nostalgia. They played their greatest hits and more. But you will not get the same energetic Axl that you have in your mind. For some reason the sound at the Hollywood Bowl was not the best this time

One of the best bands of our time

by Branden on 11/5/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

More than three hours of amazing unforgettable performance Hard Rock. The band really give everything to their fans. Axl Rose's vocals and Slash's guitar skills were nothing short of exceptional.

    Not Their Best

by Dreamer on 11/5/23Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

I was excited to see GNR at thr Hollywood Bowl after seeing them the last time they were in LA. I thought the atmosphere of the Bowl could only add to the experience. I was sadly disappointed. The poor sound quality, faulty microphone, and Axl's seemingly having trouble with his voice all led to a show that I would have rather skipped.
