    Unforgettable!

by adrianh714 on 11/17/13Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

It was an amazing concert. They played almost every single song off of "I Am Mountain" amd some oldies too. We were lucky to see them in such a small intimate venue. The opening artist was spectacular as well. Every time I've seen them they have blown me away and once again they did just that. Can wait for the next tour/show!

    Concert surpasses expectations.

by MariposaSoza on 11/16/13Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

I've been a very big fan of Gungor since I first heard them in 2011. I went to a concert of theirs last year and, though I really love their music, I didn't enjoy it all that much. Further, it took me a while to really enjoy 'I Am Mountain' as an album. Despite all this, I was incredibly stoked to go to this concert and it did not at all disappoint me. I was amazed and very pleased, and it made me want to go home and listen to the album all over again. In one word: Incredible.

I went with some friends, not really knowing who the band was, but I was not disappointed. The opening act was great, Chris something, and he had traveled from NYC to DC for this concert. He did an excellent job! I also like Gungor too! They played and sang well, and its great that a husband and wife and work and job what they're doing together.

New Gungor music is DA BOMB!

by crisbaj on 10/29/13Saint Andrews Hall - Detroit

The heart of 'Gungor'... namely, LIsa and Michael Gungor as the creative spark of endgy, messy, explorational music have launched into a new live presentation of their latest work, "I Am Mountain". Last live outing, Gungor was a collective of 14 people playing every instrument known to man (well just about!) and presenting a catalouge of modern alt-folk, alt-rock, classically-edged music. This outing reminds me of what U2 did between Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby; they 'chopped the Tree down' carving out a whole new sound. Gungor is now a 4-some exploring alternative ambiant, keyboard/guitar interplay that channels major edgy artists like Bjork, Fiest, Counting Crows, Sigur Ros, Radiohead... all with a distinctive Gungor approach and unique sound, with an EXCELLENT live execution... brilliantly played, wonderfully punctuated by digi-lights and visual overlays, and expertly delivered. This may be the must-see live tour of 2013.

by RomanMama on 11/5/12El Rey Theatre - Los Angeles

If you have a chance to catch GUNGOR please do it. They are simply blessed from above with the amount of talent that is on the stage. GUNGOR is what music should be and what it was created for.

Awesome musicianship and showmanship. Not a lot of talking but music was so good, talking wasn't necessary.

Gungor is, quite simply, the best.

by Anonymous on 11/3/12El Rey Theatre - Los Angeles

Gungor holds now the #1 AND the #2 spot in best shows I've ever been to. Their music is intelligent, passionate, skillful, and does a fantastic job and bringing out emotion. As a professional lighting designer, I can't even count the number of concerts I've been to, so when I say they hold the top spots, that's not to be taken lightly.

Michael Gungor is the Best Guitar Player Ever!

by Beelight01 on 11/3/12El Rey Theatre - Los Angeles

Pros: The atmosphere was great with standing room only in an oldish theatre. Everyone was friendly and you got to know others while waiting for the show. Gungor does a lot of free style with their music so with the venue it felt more like a living room jam session than just listening to a cd. Cons: The neighborhood was kind of sketchy. I would suggest parking close to the venue. Also the time on the tickets was set an hour before the warm-up act. This is something to keep in mind if you are going to be standing all evening.

Down to earth and excellent musicians

by alliepaca04 on 10/18/12The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

This show was a fantastic representation of this band. It was a close-knit evening, a small crowd, but Gungor made up for a small audience with a huge presence. Every song was so well played, as well as several outros that were fantastic to listen to, and so entertaining to watch being performed.

Can't say enough good things about Gungor

by ChrisRN on 10/17/12Rams Head Live! - Baltimore

Amazing, gifted musicians and artists. Highly recommend seeing them live and can't wait to see them again. The sound balance wasn't the best but I think it's because we were on the balcony almost parallel to the stage so the speakers weren't aimed at us. But regardless, great show, clean venue.

    Not About Them

by Walkman461 on 10/17/12Rams Head Live! - Baltimore

Gungor showed their true colors at the concert. They made it as little about them as possible, directing all the glory to God. They didn't give messages or sermons but just did what they do best - led a time of worship. Through the expertise of the musicians and connectivity to Jesus, the music was perfectly in sync and executed even better than on the recorded versions. It was a powerful night that lasted the perfect amount of time too - not too short to be disappointing and not too long to feel dragged out; enough to make me want more but feel satisfied. One of the best concerts I've been to, and a great venue as well.

    Simply the best

by Anonymous on 10/16/12Rams Head Live! - Baltimore

This was hands down the best concert I've ever been to, and I saw Gungor twice previously. The venue was also a cool place.

Way better live than on a CD. The talent of Gungor is unreal. The layering of the music and all the instruments used by only 5 people was amazing. They should be winning Grammy's not just being nominated for them.

    Gungor rocks

    by DZo8 on 10/8/12Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

I was visiting ATL and a few friends of mine wanted to see Gungor. It my first time listening to them and honestly I was a bit skeptical because they're not my type of music, but WOW they play AWESOME live and their music is pretty cool. Everything was great, from the place to the bands.
