Kye Kye was so much fun, and Gungor was great.

by DeniseIsMe on 1/27/14Duling Hall - Jackson

Gungor is one of the most musically diverse bands I've seen, and they didn't disappoint at this concert. There wasn't much to dance to, but if you appreciate their incredibly musical talent, the live show is definitely a treat. Not having seating was definitely a downside, considering Gungor was sometimes more of a "sit down and muse" than a "get up and dance" act. The opening act (Kye Kye) was a great surprise too. The lead singer was charming, their music was great, there was a lot to dance to, and they were a genuinely fun band.

    Unreal

Best show i've seen since Arcade Fire at Jazz Fest 2011. Going in, my expectations were extremely high, and they were exceeded. Gungor never ceases to amaze me.

Great show! Not at all what you'd expect!

    by AnthonyR0517 on 1/13/14Duling Hall - Jackson

From listening to Gungor's previous albums, I was expecting just a few acoustic guitars. Not at all! Awsome effects and lighting, and a HUGE variety of songs that covered a very wide span of genres. Lots of electronic sounds, mixed with classical type acoustic guitar. Artists switched instruments often and we're rarely in the same spot on the stage as the previous songs, thus showing off their high level of talent.

    Very good!

by CJsplashcrepe on 11/18/13Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

Gungor was amazing. Great and very talented musicians! I enjyed the comcert very much! While it wasn't a huge, giant flashy concert with lots of lights and effects (like you may see at Muse of the Red Hot Chili Peppers) it was still very good and entertaining and definitely worth the money! Also, I was really surprised on how good the opening musician was. KC Rhoads was pretty awesome as well as Gungor! Over all very good concert.

Gungor and variety playhouse were great!

First time seeing Gungor and first time at Variety Playhouse and both exceeded expectations. Gungor were great live and VPH was an awesome venue. Cool renovated cinema that dates back to before WWII.

Holy crap- unbelievable. It was so satisfying, like a great day compressed into an hour and a half.

    Gungor was great!

by JoshRol on 11/18/13Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

The show focused more on the excellence of the musical performers and their amazing talent than on being memorized by a stage show with big lights and production. I prefer that style of a show, so I loved it.

    Completely different feel

by Anonymous on 11/18/13Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

Gungor no doubt has shifted direction from their previous albums. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but I wouldn't put it up there to being the best option either. Gungor has a great time turning their tracks and evolving them live to a almost so much as a jam session. The first 4 songs they played were seamlessly played through. A lot of energy. Great opening. I was ready for them to transition to a mix of their new and old songs, however it turned to lull and primarily a play through of their new album during the middle the of the act. My friends and I just kinda stood there. Compared to the previous shows energy bounced back and forth between Michael and the crowd. A lot more interaction toward the audience. This time it felt much more introspective, which again is something that the new album has made a stance. At times it felt as though Gungor was forcing the act and not genuine. Towards the end of the show they played some of the past favorites which got the crowd going again. Finally, for the encore Michael played 'Beautiful Things' alone that left me wanting more. I asked myself is it done? In conclusion, different feel to that of his previous albums and concerts. Still innovating their musical direction. I miss the glockenspiel and cello.

    A freaking awesome time!

by Ernie932 on 11/18/13Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

Gungor was incredible. He gets so funky it just makes your face scrunch up into wrinkles. The band also went a little electronic and I liked that. The Cultre Room was also great and had a good vibe. Great performance, great venue, great night.
