GRiZ in Concert
One of the leading independent artists in electronic music today, GRiZ is the Detroit-born, Denver-based multifaceted artist who's funkin' up dance floors worldwide with his self-described future funk sound, which mixes electronic music with his fiery live saxophone, energetic funk, and sweeping electro-soul.
Following a full year of self-reflection and creative development, GRiZ returns with ‘Ride Waves,' his new self-released album due out April 5, 2019. As his most creatively ambitious and most personal project to date, the 14-track album features collaborations with major artists like Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, Matisyahu, DRAM, and Bootsy Collins and sees the producer taking his sound toward uncharted territories in hip-hop, pop, and dance music, all while keeping the funky GRiZ sound intact. The album follows his breakout album ‘Good Will Prevail' (September 2016), which debuted at #1 on the iTunes Electronic chart and charted on the Billboard 200 chart.
GRiZ's live shows, which mix improvised saxophone, guitar, and vocals and include the 15-piece GRiZ Live Band, have become massive draws around the world. Venue was awesome, the openers were great. But more importantly, GRiZ and NGHTMRE absolutely were electric! Every time I've seen them over the years, they always put on the best shows!
The security guards and venue workers were terrible. They took everything that I owned even if there was nothing wrong with it. Wouldn’t allow us to buy water bottles and keep the caps for them. They really made what would’ve been a perfect experience a lot less fun. Griz was absolutely phenomenal though and the production was on another level.
Need a lost and found my friend got her phone stolen.. Also need water stations.
GRiZ puts on one mighty of a spectacular show. 100000/10 would go again!
Out of all the shows i’ve been to, space camp was easily the most magical. GRiZ is unmatched!! The moment space camp 2023 is released, I am securing tickets.
It was one of the best two day events I've ever been to. I love griz. I love the energy he brings and what he brings out in humanity. We need more people like griz. My only negative about venue wss second day super slippery so I fell.
Y’all need- NEEEEEEED - to be at Space Camp III. GRiZ absolutely SLAYED my eyeballs and earholes. Between his genius and this venue’s lighting, audio, and visual capabilities, this entire weekend was quite possibly one of the best shows I’ve ever been to. I’d give ♾️ stars if I could, & that STILL wouldn’t be good enough to describe how incredible this experience was. It was so incredible that I’m actually here leaving a review right now, which I never care enough to do, so that right there should tell you something. Can’t wait to be back at the mothership next year for Space Camp III, & you NEED to be there too. TRUUUUUUST ME.

GRiZ and friends put on a great performance. The lights, music, and horn playing were all top tier. Exactly what I needed to dance to and destress!
Alpine Valley is a beautiful venue and the artists put on an amazing show, but the cops truly ruined everything by power tripping over every minor violation and detaining attendees over nonsense. While I loved the venue, I don’t feel safe attending it with the East Troy cops present and thus I won’t be coming back.
griz was amazing. lsdream and cloze were amazing. all of the acts were amazing. the venue was not amazing. they should have learned what we were about before coming at us with so many prejudices. fear over weapons alone, at a griz show mind you. a man who preaches showing and spreading love. they said my chain accessory on my pants were a weapon and wanted me to return it to the car. they didn’t allow stuffed animals bigger than a few inches, flags, water packs, and more. everyone still brought the amazing vibes, but it wasn’t thanks to the venue staff. the noise was embarrassing. we could whisper and hear each other over lsdream. we felt cheated. second day was barely better. please go to other venues and see what the noise level is supposed to be at. you guys were maybe 50% there😬 i’m glad griz said he won’t return. i would not buy tickets for this venue again. it was a waste of money for the sound quality ALONE. either meet edm where it is or stick to the dave mathews band crowd. please.
Ive only been to jam band shows at Alpine But that stage is perfect for electronic music shows. The way the seats are set up you can get a full picture of the entire stage. The acoustics were perfect. You had room to dance. They should have more electronic music shows at alpine. Thank you so much!
Every artist was absolutely amazing of course. The entire production was mind blowing. What wasn't mind blowing was being threatened to be kicked out for walking in a walk way (there was no signage saying "not a walk way" or anything). The police were ridiculous. I'm so glad I skipped camping. Now GRiZ will never play there again. Good job LN.
Cute venue but not very "dance-friendly". Big plus for pretty good beer and drinks selection as well as camping (didn't camp but hopefully there will be a next time :) ) The show itself was GREAT! LOVE U xoxo
I've been to plenty of shows at Alpine and you could see where all of the ticket money went. The visuals for Griz were some of the best I've seen.
Griz played the most immaculate show I have ever seen. His lights were amazing. Along with clozee and the other performers they came to give a show. 100/100 would recommend again. Crowd was also extremely pleasant and full of love
The energy from the people and the music was over the top. I couldn’t have had a better time. The venue didn’t have a great vibe, though.
