Overall Not Bad But Scary
by BTM on 12/31/22Big Night Live - BostonI have seen Griz a dozen times in the past at multiple venues including Big Night Live. I had pit tickets to this sold out 18+ show. Having been to this exact show the year prior, I thought I knew what to expect. We came early to get decent spots and comfortably watched the openers. But, by the time Griz started the crowd was way too tight. Not just uncomfortably, but scarily. I was getting squished up against a wall with little means of getting out. I’ve been to a lot of shows that we’re really tight, but have never had this happen to me. We eventually were able to bully ourselves out of the situation and moved all the way back, which was still sorta tight. The whole time though, the people were not what you expect when going to a rave, particularly a Griz set. I would attribute it partially to Big Night Live set up and management of a sold out show, but also to the 18+ crowd that might not be familiar with rave pleasantries. Luckily, Griz always puts on a good show to help distract us.
